23 Replies to “Never Apologize”

  1. People who are not used to such attacks and suddenly find themselves victims of the woke mob have no experience to tell them how to respond, and it seems their first reaction is to cower. Don’t! Never apologize, never explain, never make an excuse. Once they have you in their sights, nothing you say or do will satisfy them so you might as well stand firm, you did nothing wrong.

  2. Susane Rogers response wasn’t ” You don’t have to attend the school which I provided an endowment for, you don’t have to support the causes I support, you don’t have to agree with me or with those I may meet, but you don’t ever get to tell me how to spend my time or my life”

instead, she gave them power and grovelled before them…

also, since Ted is gone, Rogers isn’t at all interested in free speech any more

    1. Fashion Industry?
I mean they are as far left as possible. What the hell did she think would happen? Look, if you give $20 million to Harvard or Berkeley do you seriously think the students won’t rip your face off at the slightest faux pas, gaffe or solecism.

  3. Dirtman, just follow the Saul Alinsky 12 Rules for Radicals, never defend always attack. It works for Turdeau as the Ethics (snicker) Commissioner lets him skate on the WE debacle.

  4. With that kind of loot she should be paying some nasty dogs to attack her detractors until they are beaten into the dust or flee into anonymity.

    1. With these lockdowns…
Our governments and politicians expected a baby boom.
Hard to do this in a time that if you don’t get written permission,
you could be charged with rape.

    2. In the day it was sealskin boots. And don’t forget the touque. Take off, eh.

  5. Rogers provide crap phone, crap cable, crap internet and even crappier customer service at big prices.

The only reason they remain in business is that the Libranos keep US firms out of the Canadian telecommunications market in return for generous kickbacks from Rogers (among others) out of their monopoly rents.

First rule of succeeding as an oligarch: don’t shit where you eat.

Suzanne is petrified that she has suddenly given the Líbranos a reason to force the Rogers family to sell the family firm at a heavy discount to a Beijing front domiciled in Canada BEFORE she found an excuse to clean her husband out.

    She should be.

    1. Don’t forget the many subsidies that are paid to the Rogers empire by Canadian Taxpayers every year that never seem to go away.

    2. D.S. – Steyn is brilliant as always (well, almost always). I agree that Rogers is rich because the Canadian government likes to pick winners and losers, but Ms. Rogers has totally missed the point…

  6. Imagine being such a boot-licking craven coward that you feel the need to denounce people just because of photo at a party.

  7. Suzanne does not get the new reality. Civility, like its distant cousin Reason, is dead. You will never apologize, grovel, explain, or backtrack enough. Once the Mob has given you an unfavorable label to define your entire being, they will never do anything other than attack. You have lost them.
You may as well do a Steyn, or a Goya foods. You have already lost your old friends, and showing some backbone and desire for Truth will earn you some new, better ones.
Oh, and although I was never a Harry Potter fan, I am asking my library for more copies in stock. Just cuz.

  8. This is the good bullying.
    The good ‘progressive’ bullying.
    Not the bad bullying.

Strange how the media used to howl and screech about bullying and how they are silent about it now.

  9. What she can do is permanently revoke further donations to any of the organizations who give her grief then announce one huge donation to a competitor organization. Make a fuss, walk away in a snit and never look back. Better to be feared as a *itch than accepted as a doormat.

  10. I liked Trumps description of Canucks:
They come down here and buy nice shoes, wesr them a bit before going home so to skip paying duty, taxes at home!
