Alberta has stopped administering first doses of the AstraZeneca (AZN.L) COVID-19 vaccine because of limited supply, a government spokesman said on Tuesday.
Alberta Health spokesman Tom McMillan said the change was due to supply issues rather concerns about rare side-effects.
“This decision is based on the fact that we are receiving no known future shipments of AstraZeneca at this time but are receiving large quantities of mRNA vaccines,” McMillan said in an email, referring to messenger RNA vaccines from Moderna (MRNA.O) and Pfizer/BioNTech (PFE.N), .
The shortage of AstraZeneca vaccines comes as the western oil-producing province of Alberta struggles with a surge in COVID-19 cases. Last week the provincial government introduced new restrictions to curb infections.

In the former Soviet Union, non-stop shortages of food were perennially blamed on “bad harvests”. It was never the fault of central planning as such.
It is like this MASSIVE GAS SHORTAGES in the US and the media is not reporting this or under reporting it.

According to this National Post article, the Astra-Zeneca shot should be halted in any case because it’s “really kinda bad” according to the doctor interviewed. I thought these vaccines were all thoroughly tested and there’s nothing to worry about. Or is there?

Well Manitoba has decided that it’s better to risk a few people than stop the vaccine rollout. They did the calculation and decided the risk was worth the benefit regardless of a few young people dying of blood clots in their brains. And government knows best. Submit and comply.
It does not matter how many die if it only saves one life.

Canada received a batch of Johnson&Johnson vaccine from the Baltimore facility that was subcontracted by J&J to make the vaccine.
This is the facility which the FDA audited and basically said the place was a dump and the US has not allowed use from that facility .. no problem Trudeau needs it for more virtue signalling. Health Canada says they are assessing the situation.

I commented with a link describing this report a while back suggesting that, if opting for J&J, only use the stuff from the Netherlands. Looks like this references both J&J and AstraZeneca as clients. I knew J&J dumped 15 million doses and the strong rumor is the the AstraZeneca was being produced during the same period. Seems that more vaccine from Emergent has been shelved in other countries while good old Canada is being encouraged to roll up their sleeves?

A rushed out, experimental shot, approved for emergency use only, which at best will lessen your symptoms, for a disease that has an over 99.9% survival rate and the guinea pig trials will not be completed until the end of 2023, when some time after that, those of us left will be advised of the dangers and adverse effects. My Dad and later on my bro owned a farm supply business. I was a salesperson, we dealt with Pfizer on a daily basis during farming season. A months or so ago I phoned a friend who connected me to a Pfizer medical rep. Her advice was to get the second shot within 21-30 days. And she didn’t recommend mixing vaccines. My deduction from our conversation is that Pfizer is quite readily available, why would you want to mix it with anything else??
We follow the MSM news only to be bombarded with confusion. Why don’t governments deal with getting the vaccines out to people, and let the pharmaceutical companies decide what’s the best way is to utilize their products.
