  1. There are options to paypal, Interac money transfer in Canada, good old WesternUnion gobally, for example. And about a year ago Simplii (owned by CIBC) introduced GlobalTransfer which allows you to send funds anywhere (well almost anywhere but like 100 countries) directly from your account to a recipient account in any of the participating banks in their respective countries. Works like a charm, typically 1-3 business days.

Who needs PayPal? I used them a lot like 15 years ago but since then, PayPal became overpriced, not very reliable and a very nosy company so I stopped using them a decade ago.

I am sure there are other options I am not aware of so go ahead and post them and see how many billions we can shave off Comrade PayPal’s value.

  2. Wait until Turdeau gets bill c-10 passed and the CRTC aka as the Communist Radio and Television Commisars get to control what you see, hear and comment on via your computer. If this bill is passed the door is wide open for the Laurentian Mafia through their control of the Liberal Party to finalize and cement their business alignment with their Chinese partners.

  3. On December 31 of last year, PayPal became the first foreign firm to have 100 percent control of a payment platform in Red China (buying outright the GoPay platform).

The understanding, of course—never put in writing but implicit in any contract to buy from or sell to Red China—was that in return for access to the Chinese market, PayPal would assist the CCP in its efforts to suppress criticism of Red China in the west.

    1. Not sure I agree… WeChat, AliPay? and many others I do not know by name…

  4. Closing PayPal and donating 250 to rebel.
And sending story to everyone I know

    1. Thanks for the suggestion. I made a donation too, not as big but I’m retired on a fixed income, or maybe a broke income is more accurate.

  5. Paypal has been leaning this way for some time now. Same with GoFundMe. I used paypal for awhile but abandoned them as soon as I got a whiff of their deference to the woke mob. There’s lots of other ways to pay for online goods and services.

That said, I was going to sign up for a Rebel News subscription but they want subscribers home address. Not sure why they need that. I declined.

  6. PayPal has always been scum. They act like they’re a bank but they’re not subject to (m)any of the regulations that a proper bank is. There are scores of horror stories about their behaviour out there. Utterly foolish to rely upon them to the degree that Ezra has.

  7. I’ll be telling my family members and woke youngn’s that we are ditching PayPal because they doubled the fees. All Visa payments now….till I have to ditch them.

  8. Federal election in the offing. I gotta wonder if Justin might be behind this.

I stopped using paypal years ago when they disappeared $250 out of my account. Bunch of crooks. Now I wish I still had an account so I could cancel it.

    1. Just tried cancelling my account but cannot do so as it will not let you if you have funds still therein but I do not have enough to make the minimum transfer of $15. So I’m just gonna have to leave my $1.29 balance there to fester forever.

  9. Rebel News takes e-transfer. No need for PayPal.
I refuse to use them since they came out in favour of perverts in the women’s washrooms.

  10. This is not hard, boycott any service that is in opposition of your beliefs-Facebook, Twitter, PayPal, Chinese goods, central Canadian Banks. You do not need the shit they are purveying, THEY NEED YOU.

I have supported Ezra all the back to his Western Standard days, but I’ m getting sick of his constant begging.

    1. Problem is, he is constantly under attack. Don’t blame him. Financial support helps fight the tyranny. It may not end. But if you have given in the past, maybe it is not your turn this time.

    2. I echo LindaL, it’s a barrage of requests, which I most often ignore, but the occasional one like this I respond and give money. Let’s face it, the battle will never be won completely, un-ending monitoring and intervention at times will be necessary. Things can get better or worse, there’s no guarantee.

    3. Me too, re the early Western Standard and Ezra. I sent em a $100 bucks when their loan was called in, and just sent them another $50 bucks for this PayPal debacle. I have used PP, but always try to avoid them when ever I could. Now, I’ll make extra efforts to avoid them. I won’t bother to cancel, not sure how to anyway, just avoid and boycott as much as possible, along with Coca Cola and a growing list of other companies that DON”T have our best interests at heart! Again, I too, am retired and on a fixed income, but I do what I can. Quiet resistance and mischief are worth serving cold anyway.

  11. The intimidation going on is outrageous. I plan to donate. Rebel news is one of the last bastions of a free press in Canada. We can’t afford to lose them.

  12. Ezra is a crafty devil. His notification of the issue (as linked above) is basically a prerequisite to a civil suit. He’s outlining to the public his careful surety that there were no violations of policy. But, more importantly, and as required is the necessity to show damages. Well, this article is all about doing that.

This is a “stay tune” type of matter. I’ll bet you Pay Pal backtracks and reinstates the account and will take a different tact. In essence, they will re-negotiate the contract to reflect vague, non-committal, and highly aloof terms of service so that a short way down the road they can, again, cancel the contract, but with more solidity.

    1. I doubt it. It’s a pattern of behaviour for them. Best case is they pay a minor penalty, and continue on.

I don’t know fully why, but I’ve never trusted PayPal. Something about it always smelled wrong to me. Over the years, that opinion has solidified, and I’m glad I never signed up for it. I’ve used it exactly twice (as a guest) for donations, and not in a couple of years.

      1. Me too, Marc, I’ve used em maybe five times and always felt distrustful of them. Agreed, they don’t pass the smell test, but what does these days?

    2. I think AMAZING POLLY was cancelled by PayPal too. If memory serves, she and a group of “cancelees” considered legal action – some months back

    1. Yeah, let’s meet to celebrate…. although I got that itch after the last time we met.

  13. Just build your own online payment service – Useless Canadian libertarian/conservative

    1. Yes, it doesn’t matter than your independent (legal, licensed) car isn’t allowed on the highway. You can build your own highway!

This is a breach of contract without notice. It should cost PayPal tens to hundreds of millions. Not because they’re rich, but because they’re ignoring the law and common business morals.

  14. It has been obvious for some time. Paypal was in the van when it came to demonetizing Youtubers and such.

When the writing is on the wall, you either pay attention, or you ignore it. Way back when, in the fairly early days of Twitter. Robert Stacey McCain saw it coming, told it like he saw it, and deleted his account.

There are a whole bunch of people, who are ignoring the writing on the wall. They are staying on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook. Believing they “need” PayPal, Twitter, cannot live without it.

Well, it is clear they are your enemies; has been for awhile. The writing has been on the wall for a long time now. Y’all still ignoring it. Nothing I can do for you.

    1. Yeah, yeah, yeah they all deserved it, they aren’t as pure as you are.

“They are staying on YouTube, …”
Funny I am the one here, when possible linking alternatives from Rumble, Bitchute etc. Do you?

      “Twitter”
No social(ist) media for me, certainly not Twitler.

      “Facebook. ”
      Nope no Fecesbook either. Ever.

      “Believing they “need” PayPal,”
Dumped them years ago when they refused processing transaction for firearms purchases.

And yet I fail your purity test oh great Field Marshal Windbag.

  15. I had an experience with the Conservative Party of Canada last year. I donated to Erin O’Toole’s leadership campaign via cheque. I wrote the cheque payable to ”The Conservative Party of Canada. ” Some green clerk at the head office of the CPC in Ottawa grabs a ruler, draws a line across the name of the party and scribbles a different ”payable to” on the cheque. The bank sends it back to me with a note saying that there is security issue. I asked the CPC to return my cheque. it took two months to get it back here. (Sask.)

Needless to say, they never got another one.

As for Rebel news, a cheque is still legal, so is a money order. Send a cheque, and tell Mr. Levant to cash it before Paypal sees it!!

  16. Canceled and sent a snarky note advising why. It’s important the bästards know why you cancel.

    mhb23re

  17. And who says there is no consiracy. It would be interesting to know why and who they talked to about this.

  18. I closed my paypal account several years ago. If you’re going to sleep with the devil, don’t be surprised when he sticks his dick in you.

  19. There can be little doubt that Trudeau and his minions are behind this. A recent Calgary Sun article stated Rebel News was “thorn” in Trudeau. The orchestrated attempts to silence Rebel News are all too coincidental to be otherwise

  20. I gave Ezra a few denaro. He’s the only journalist left in Canada. It’s the least I could do.

  21. Bank calling in their loan a few months ago.
    YouTube demonetizing their account.
    And now this?!?!?!?
Someone is obviously targeting Rebel News
