  1. Here is a study on what would happen should line 5 in Ontario gets shut off.

Means massive propane shortages which most hospitals are reliant on.
So, unfortunately the citizens like myself need an alternative.
That wood stove, I’ve been procrastinating is due to our asshole fire chief who wants permits and inspections and will screw you around…for a fee of course.

    1. I do have the ability with this propane furnace, that I can use the circulation fan and put an electric heater on a stool. Shut off the gas feed and use this furnace to circulate heat.
My emergency option which I want to share with others in case they too may lose a vital heat supply.

  2. Survival mode of what to do.
Your smart meters suddenly doesn’t work and you see street lights still have power.
Loosen the fastening ring around the meter and then yank that meter straight off.
Bypass that meter with a heavy wire or even a flattened copper pipe.
USE RUBBER GLOVES if possible. Red to red, black to black and white to white.
Don’t touch bare wire. Always have some insulation between you and the power.
You still will NOT be shocked unless you touch the ground. Also insulate yourself from the ground.

  3. Ref the glider stationary: Done that, several times – even flown backwards (all relative to the ground, not the air).

Mountain wave lift is wonderful, it is the smoothest air you will ever find. I just sit there in absolute silence, watching the altimeter winding up. When I need to turn, I lightly hold the stick between one finger and thumb and move it so gently, so as not to disturb the serenity of it all.

When I want to descend, I just move over to the downside of the wave and it is just the same, but the altimeter now is winding down. At some point I hit the rotor, which is the roughest air imaginable. I am thrown all over the sky (even rolled inverted) and my eyeballs bang against the stops – quite a wake-up call.
