  1. So, the de Blasio/Cuomo strategy. It did win WW2 after all. Or something. Because reasons. All that.

  2. How could anybody possibly think this is a good idea?

It is seemingly impossible to be overly hyperbolic in describing how evil/corrupt/inept government is. The whole lot.

    1. All these empty arenas and other places…

Sure seems intentional that they’re knocking off the Seniors.
      Some concerns of the vaccines?
Give it to the Seniors anyways, 65 and over.
Sure our governments not trying to knock us off?

Never have the media report any injuries from vaccinations.
Just keep them in danger as we still bring in contaminated passengers.
Sure our governments not trying to knock us off?

        1. And healthcare costs. Have to save those dollars for the “family” immigrants with problems.

“anybody possibly think this is a good idea?”

just depends what your endgame actually is.
hmmm… putting old sick people in gulags….

you reduce the strain on the healthcare
      budget
      in very short order.

i imagine funeral homes are celebrating.

      1. Crematoriums working overtime. Now where in history have we seen that? Fortunately the whu who flu really isn’t killing enough of us, maybe the plan is to ramp things up.

    3. OK..dear SDAers…take a step back. Look at the details.
These are NOT sick people, these are people taking up acute care and post op beds.
This is all political…Ford makes it look like he is doing something productive and good. Oh, the drama.More smoke and mirrors.
I work at a Northern Ontario hospital. Last spring our manager was sharing her frustrations. The story goes that LTC facilities were power tripping. Would not accept transfers out of hospital because COVID. Absolutely no covid in our facilities. Empty beds in LTC facilities, hospital overwhelmed with patients that were waiting for LTC beds.
This move is not Covid patients. These are normal LTC patients, different needs than acute care patients.
Should have happened a long time ago. But Ford chooses now to feed the drama.

      1. Indeed, the numbers don’t lie which is why they’re never quoted in any accurate or relevant way.

I don’t see Ford being a mastermind of any sort though, I don’t think he’s smart enough to be anything other than a patsy. Conservatism, whatever that is, is not only dead in Ontario but anyone identified as a conservative, whatever that is, is now a villain. The question now is just how far the purging and re-education will go.

    1. This is what Canadian Conservatism now looks like. Douchebag Doug: Ontario’s Great Yellow Hope.

      1. Before you call Ford a conservative look at the full name. It is an oxymoron to be progressive and conservative. Thats like holding the candle thats burning at both ends. Not only are communism and conservative spelt different but they are opposite.

  3. Something strange about this story: could not find it on CTV or CBC. I had to search for it on City TV, which is where that clip comes from.

Either there is a combined effort to bury the story, or it has been quietly abandoned.

I would have expected it to be headline news.

  4. PRE-Meditated MURDER is what this is.

..and that’s the plan now isn’t it….lets (FIRST), Kill off the biggest “drain” on the country’s finances (Trudeau notwithstanding)…then we go after those over 65 but under 80…next Batch to “process”

Anyone still thinking this is all about some BS non verifiable virus…I got news for ya

    1. No steakman. Smoke and mirrors. these are not Covid patients. This is a game by Ford but not what you are thinking.
Check out my reply ^^^ to earlier comments.

  5. There’s something else that was not mentioned: $$$. Costs a lot more to keep a CD-19 patient in the hospital than if you put them in a long-term care facility.

But that also goes to another issue: With all of the attention being paid to rises in cases, how many of those are serious enough to require hospitalization? You can make a good argument that is the metric people should be watching.

    1. You can make a good argument that is the metric people should be watching

Verified deaths and ICU critical cases are the metrics that will show hoe dangerous the virus is. Which is exactly why they never report those and only report “case counts”, a metric affected more by the rate of testing than the rate of infection.

    2. ….With all of the attention being paid to rises in cases, how many of those are serious enough to require hospitalization?…

This is a question that hints at whats going on. If they were truly sick and in need of hospitalization, they couldn’t send them to the LTC’s.

  6. Why did Ontario bother prioritizing nursing home staff and residents for the vaccine if we still have to behave as if it has no protective effect? Does the vaccine work or not?

    1. Not. The Pfizer CEO is on record saying so. None of them can stop a virus or prevent the spread of a virus, none of them. Also none of them are vaccines in the sense that we know vaccines. Unproven, unlicensed and untested, forced on people by emergency order. They all mess with your DNA by altering genes to create a spike protein that is supposed to find a way to fight the deadly virus that really is not so deadly. People can get the knowledge if they weren’t so damn stupid and believe the government. Wait a year or so when the real damage may start.

  7. 6000 beds available? Tell that to the thousands of Ontarians on the years long waiting list!
Also, hopefully they are moving non covid hospitalized patients if true.

    1. That’s what I was thinking! I have always been under the impression that most LTC facilities run close to full capacity.

      1. They do not.
They have been power tripping. Hospital backlog with patients that need LTC taking up acute and post op beds for a long time.
This should have been enforced a long time ago.
My guess is that Ford is using this as part of his fear mongering campaign, trying to convince the sheep that hospitals are swamped with Covid patients.

    2. they hadn’t been filling empty beds during the first two waves.
and staffing levels have always been an issue

    1. Even these dummies in Europe have declined an action against the whu who flu vaccines and vaccine passports. We are going to have to fight to stop this insanity. Cowards and those who believe government will destroy us.

  8. I am older than a lot of people in these homes. The goal, must truly be to kill us old folks. By the way, a vaccine will not save us.

    1. Wait, what?!?! The vaccine is not the magic cure we’ve been led to believe it is?!?!
      /sarc

  9. L – Big Pharma/C.C.P./Cult. Marxist bureaucrats running Western governments:
    1. If they or other L.T.C. patients don’t die, must be due to vaccines, push for mandatory.

    2. If it does increase the deaths in L.T.C. homes. Then the answer is more vaccine doses e.i.
second, third … Thus making endless vaccinations mandatory.

    3. The response is the same regardless of the outcome… follow the money.

    4. Moving infected patients into L.T.C. homes increased deaths in New York state and that
revelation destroyed Gov. Coumo’s political career. Ford is being set up by the NDP who’ve
infiltrated the public service at every level, including health care. No crisis goes to waste.

  10. The governors demise is not because of the deaths. It will be because of the liberal women that have outed him.
    A much more egregious offence.

  11. Because obscuring the flaws of the Canadian healthcare system is more important than providing healthcare.

  12. The silver lining in this is (unfortunately) we now are going to get a demonstration of the efficacy of the “vaccines”.

  13. Ironic that. The thousands of beds empty are so because, supposedly, all their previous occupants have died of covid. At least he had the decency to wait until they were gone; Cuomo in New York, didn’t just moved them in.
