  1. So when is the first plea. Not guilty on account of not my fault because I’m white and couldn’t help myself????

  2. “….. the first step towards any kind of progress on campus is through accountability and having honest discussions,” continued the petition. “Furthermore, the fact that you go so far as to claim notable, respected literature on anti-racist work as to cause you a sort of ‘spiritual sickness’ is beyond comprehensible.”

Note in this response, in the first sentence, “having honest discussions “….. when you actually do that then read the later part of the second sentence …. ‘cause you a sort of ‘spiritual sickness’ is beyond comprehensible.”

As in there will be no discussion. So shut up end of discussion you are out.

It is why the socialists/fascists are confused about the facts of life.

  3. Students complain about professors all the time. I had my share of beefs with certain profs going back to my undergrad days.

Whining to have someone canned is a bit more recent. While I was teaching at Armpit College, kiddies were frequently griping about me and there were a few attempts on their part to have be booted out.

How such complaints are handled depended on who was in charge. My first department head was a WW II U-boat vet and I’m sure, considering what I think he endured during his service, he knew what was worth worrying about. Whiny students wasn’t on that list.

His successor, who was a lot like Prinz Dummkopf, was constantly afraid that anything that the students said about me would go to the dean’s office or the senior administration. He wasn’t worried about me. In fact, he welcomed it because he, for his own reasons, wanted to fire me. Instead, he was scared that it might ruin his chances for promotion to dean.

  4. “Nope, not a chance, never going to happen, no way”

My exact thoughts on getting a COVID vaccination.

    1. Ditto. My wife’s parents are avid CNN and Global news watchers (we have agreed to not talk politics because I seem to always know more about things than they do, and it hurts their safe space). They were deliriously happy that the vaccine will soon be available for their children and grand-children. And aghast when my wife told them we wouldn’t consider taking it until after it has passed full testing, not just the emergency approval currently in place.

They don’t think it’s any different from the polio or measles vaccine, and won’t listen to anyone/thing that says otherwise.

  5. Keep telling them to shove-off! The ONLY way to end this contemporary inquisition! (Other than $BIG$ lawsuits for wrongful firing).

  6. A petition calling for the resignation of Kindsvatter has earned over 3,400 signatures

A rival petition — which has garnered over 4,400 signatures — asks that Kindsvatter assume control of all diversity measures at the University of Vermont.

    The kids are all right.

  7. DEI = diversity equity inclusion
A better more accurate word order would be:
DIE = diversiy inclusion and equity
