Grace Life Church

Just another Sunday in the Great White North.

As James Lindsay likes to say the asymmetry is the story.

And as Michael Malice likes to say these cops are the good apples.

More here.

Update-Maybe it wasn’t 200 but there were a lot of cops and equipment there.

  1. There were not 200 cops there. They were not wearing gas masks. Just want to be truthful here. Don’t agree with the state confiscating land because of their own ideology. But we need to report this accurately. Otherwise we’re no different than CNN and CBC. There were many cops there. Probably should’ve been out looking for the paedophile and the drug dealer. But the Christian pastor is much more dangerous.

    1. Just based on the video evidence, the claim that 200 cops are there is not verifiable. About 3 had respirators with cartridges that would be somewhat effective against pepper spray, but most were wearing what looked like N95’s, which would provide no protection against it.

      1. The eyewitness filming the video says 40 vehicles, 200 cops and helicopter. I’m sure he’d be willing to testify to that.

        1. I counted 1000 there today all holding assault rifle 15’s, some were speaking Chinese to each other we couldn’t understand.

    2. Well … I am so VERY confident in the balanced, unbiased reporting of our media … that I will trust the words of the Edmonton Journal:

RCMP had several vehicles and officers in the area..

Now … I grew up believing “several” is somewhere between 3 and 5 … maybe 7 … if you want to stretch the point. So I wholeheartedly trust the media who chose to use a non-specific term implying a small number of police and vehicles. That MUST be believed over the very specific large number of ‘200’. The Professional Jourrrrrrnalists MUST be believed over the wild rantings of scofflaw Christians who “believe” they have a right to assemble during a government declared pandemic. A pandemic that has seized any and every right they had.

      Right?!

      1. But how can you incite the antigovernment/anti law enforcement rhetoric unless you embellish the facts and toss in “gestapo” for the simp?

      2. Absolutely wrong, what about the ‘uninalienable rights endowed by our creator’ also freedom of the press, freedom speech and freedom of assembly.I know you have heard on them. I have no problem with governments dealing with emergency situations but lockdowns and curfews piss me off, When these same governments are allowing 2 flights a day from China to land in Vancouver with little or no quarantine requirements. The same government has allowed China to imprison 2 of our citizens for over 800 days without even a whimper of protest, but wear your mask and stay in your house, you will get your freedoms back when we feel like allowing it.

      3. Thought my comment was dripping with sufficient sarcasm, that I did not need a tag. Damn straight we are born with inalienable rights … but Christians are a rich target for the Fascist Totalitarian Government uber alles types who scream OBEY! at the barrel of a gun, err “several” guns.

Oh! And the noble Jourrrrrrrnalists … noted the Police just happened to be … in the area. Implying to the dull witted that they just happened to be driving by … the area

Words are carefully chosen to shape the narrative. The public better pick up their skepticism skills

        1. Having read many of your previous posts I probably should have recognized the sarcasm, just getting fed up with the politics and the supposed health care ” experts” that don t have any more idea of what the real situation is that the average bar tender does.

  2. (Deleted. This is an excellent way to find your ip address and time of posting reported to the RCMP. — ED)

  3. I was an eye witness. And yes I will testify. The cops were there but not aggressive. This is a terrible situation but lets not add hyperbole to make a point.

    1. Yes I’m concerned about lies. This is the worst scenario anyone in my generation has experienced. We are inundated with lies from every media source regardless of their politics. And a platform that I have respected for 2 decades is following the path of all the other irrelevant media sources. So ya. I want truth regardless of your feelings.

      1. Hyperbole has been used for thousands of years to make a point. It doesn’t mean the post is inaccurate or dishonest.

        1. Well Deb, I was there. And my observation would say the post was inaccurate and dishonest. Just sayin

        2. So you say that the cops there were good apples. Fine. Now we have your measure.
          a) did you know that freedom of religion was a Charter Right?
          b) did you know that my father’s generation settled the question of whether or not
following orders was an acceptable excuse back in 1948 in Nuremberg Germany?

  4. If they tried this stunt on a reserve, there would be an armed response, and rightfully so. Natives, for all their corruption, have more balls than Canadians at large do.

      1. *
you mean ANY laws… don’t you frances?

there are over a hundred unlicenced weed
        parlors
on the bay of quinte mohawk rez.

not hyperbole, btw. one law for whitey and no
law for the we were here first people.

    1. No. Hinshaw was asked directly and she said no. There were 2 cases last July. The church reported that without government coercion.

  5. Compare this with the enviro-weenies blocking bridges in Edmonton a short time ago. Hundreds of people unable to get to work, clear laws broken (as opposed to AHS guidelines being broken).
The police response? Protect the protesters from law abiding citizens trying to get to work.
Or Native protesters tossing rails on train tracks in an effort to derail trains (which amounts to attempted murder, BTW – all on national TV)? The police response? Bring maple syrup as a peace offering, and let the trains be held up.
Any media pointing out the double standards?

    1. It was more than hundreds stuck in traffic. And you know damned well what would have happened if someone had tried to get through or toss their stupid canoe prop off the bridge.

  6. So for a church service during Plandemic the Powers that be can find lots a cops..
For assholes firebombing moving freight trains, they can’t even arrest one arsonist.
The comparison between the Fabulous 5 Hereditary Chiefs blockaders and Covid Church goers is very interesting..I can see who our government is most afraid of.
    Even the media is bent so badly that they have become the story,this quote say it all;

“Some held signs warning of tyranny and some wore shirts insinuating the ongoing global pandemic, which has accounted for tens of thousands of deaths in Canada, is not real. A few carried Alberta and Canadian flags and, shortly after 10 a.m., a large wooden cross was carried down the road as Amazing Grace was played from a loud speaker.”

I wonder when and if we will get accurate “Death by Covid” numbers?
For the propaganda and butt covering is now so thick and deep that every thing is Covid, all covid, always covid.
Yet the total dead is not even statistically significant…
    Where is my pandemic?
    Bring out your dead?
The Wuhan Flu is coming up so short that the vaccine injections will have to be accelerated to bring up the death toll.
Power is heady stuff, small people with a tiny taste of power,do seem to go nuts..
But the last 14 months have been a revelation.
How do these authoritarian ninnies plan to escape from this horrible exposure of their total incompetence and malice?
Or will it be Lie,deny and abuse until their very end?

    1. The Urinal also says “alleged” for actual crimes. Here, the Urinal reporter stated that Grace Life was already guilty.
Since being bought out by Post Media, the Sun is no better. The $600 million obtained results.

    1. They should be.

I don’t want to hear another ****ing word about ‘the thin blue line’.

  7. This will not stop….. we are witnessing the end of freedom in the west and the beginning of the chicomm way of life in what’s left of canada….

    1. This is likely what Prinz Dummkopf meant that we are now a “post-national” state.

  8. This what a police-state post-national country looks like.
CTV National News is reporting this and more tonight at the top of the broadcast as I type this.

    h/t B A, Sir.

  9. L – It’s times like these to remember the heroic sacrifices by loyal Canadians to proof our
mettle, strong and free, Canada, a nation-state. If they could face down, German Imperialism, bullets, artillery, mustard gas and yes, even the 1918 Spanish flu, that killed more than WWI. We can face down petty tyrants and the C.C.P. virus(biological warfare) on Canadian soil.

“April 9th, Today is the 104th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

Some 620,000 Canadians answered the call to serve during the First World War.
They went to war as Albertans, Nova Scotians, Ontarians… they came home as Canadians.

60,000 of them were never to come home again; 3,598 of whom paid the ultimate sacrifice at Vimy Ridge.

As Prince Charles said so very eloquently on the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge,
“Canadians displayed a strength of character and commitment to one another that is still evident today. They did not waiver. This was Canada at its best; the Canadians at Vimy embodied the True North Strong and Free.”

    Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place, and in the sky,
The larks, still bravely singing, fly,
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead, short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunsets glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flander’s fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe!
To you from failing hands we throw,
Te Torch; be yours to hold it high!
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    in Flanders fields.

  10. Kenney needs to stand up and call a halt to this nonsense. I think he is being bribed by Ottawa.

    1. You give Kenney too much credit. He’s a goof, a buffoon, an unserious leader who likes to puff his chest up and look tough and then do next to nothing that would matter. Albertan conservatives did themselves a gross disservice by giving this man the keys to the premier’s office.

Anyone who thinks Alberta is in any way, shape, or form, ready to secede from Canada: look at that video again. That’s your police force. Those are your fellow citizens, doing that. How is that in any meaningful way different from the ROC? You’re at LEAST a full generation of hard political and cultural work away from being ready for secession. If you ever get there.

  11. Two Mounties would have accomplished the same. I’ve lived in rural Saskatchewan all of my life. I’ve seem one single Mountie walk into a bar and diffuse an argument between 3 CPR workers and 2 cowboys in about 5 minutes. After the perpetrators were ousted, the bar tender, a Newfie, asked the cop, ”weren’t you afraid walking in here alone against those hooligans??” He pointed to the crest on his shoulder and with a smile said:”’We’re never alone, the buffalo is always with us.”

One of my best memories of living in Saskatchewan.

As for the news report, why don’t they say why the cops were there??

    1. For the record.
When I wrote the above comment, the video showed about 30 cops arriving on the scene of a gathering at Grace Life Church in Edmonton. We now read the story from the Edmonton Journal. A rather more precise rendering of events. Thanks!

  12. Larry – all those Brave Canadian men are long gone. Their children and grandchildren are all a bunch of wimps! Do you really think that any 18 yr old or any “man” in his twenties would act like those REAL MEN of yesterday.??

Not a chance in hell. They would all be hiding in their basements playing video games.they cant even show up on Remembrance Day to honour our soldiers. Its “too cold” to stand outdoors for a mere hour.

  13. Good Cop vs Bad Cop

We know they are bad cops – all of them – unless one speaks out against this B.S. – by name or anonymously – won’t happen.
Heard the Portland Police Department call BS on Antifa? Nope
Heard from the 30 FBI agents in SWAT gear who were sent to arrest 70 yr old plus Roger Stone in his pajamas? Nope.
Heard from the FBI and Las Vegas Police calling out the rot and BS stories about the Mandalay Bay Hotel shooter? Nope.
Heard from the FBI about the totally bungled San Bernardino mass shooting? Nope.

  14. Why is it so hard for Conservative leaders to be well conservatives. Kenny, Ford, Shear…..the list goes on, just give the people want they want, conservatism, not Liberal light and not Left wing wokeness. Don’t try to appease the press, don’t try to make friends with Liberals and don’t try to prove you are not a racist, you will get called that no matter what you do. It’s really simply, work towards small government, sensible rules, balanced budgets and learn to stay out of people’s lives.
