    It isn’t just about economics.

I am a Scot, born in Scotland, living in Scotland. I love my country; I am proud of its history, its culture, its sense of humour and fair play.

My career was in England, my daughters were born in England. I feel equally at home in London as in Edinburgh, many of my friends are English. My forefathers fought under British standards alongside their English comrades in the mud of Flanders and on the beaches of Normandy.

I rage at the SNP for wishing to break these familial, emotional and historical ties between the nations, and for creating daily divisiveness in our society. They ignore democratic decisions; at the last (once in a generation) time of asking we chose to remain.

To me, and many like me, the SNP brand is toxic, their current and previous leader more so; their daily infantile grievance agenda shames our nation. History will not judge them kindly, nor remember them fondly.

My country is, and remains, the United Kingdom.

    It isn’t just about economics.

    1. When I was an undergrad at my alma mater, the University of Alberta, it was a time to “let it all hang out”. It was an era of no holds barred and pushing the limits to see what one got away with.

Various student groups had their times of celebration and hi-jinks. Some of those observances included an evening of tasteless skits and vulgar humour. For example, the medical students had their Med Show and, from what I heard, tickets to that event were at a premium. And, yes, the engineering students had their notorious Skit Night. (I attended one time. Once was enough.) As far as the agriculture students (“Aggies”, we called them) were concerned, the pinnacle of their week was the annual Bar None barn dance/party/whatever. (I heard a few raunchy stories about what used to go on.)

That sort of cheekiness was part of being a student. Nobody was forced to participate, but one also was expected to behave like an adult when such things went on. If one didn’t like it, one didn’t have to watch.

Later, while I was working on my first master’s degree, my fellow grad students and I watched the Engineering Week groups and kick lines with a sense of amusement as we, a few years earlier, took part in the same sort of thing. However, I’m sure we all had the same thought while we were observing the proceedings: “I’m glad I don’t have to do that any more.”

Sadly, it appears that such tomfoolery has been banished.

      1. I remember Bar None. I went into the loo and the lineups were 8 deep. Me, being a problem solver, whizzed in the sink. Next time I came back there were lineups for the sinks.

        1. Yup. I heard about that sort of thing.

In all my years as a U of A student, I never went to Bar None. Then again, it was held near the end of the term when I had a lot of course work to do.

    1. MFA = Master of Fine Arts or, as I prefer to call it, Master of FA (and, no, by FA, I don’t mean Football Association)

      1. I imagine, in a poetry masters, you have to follow tight rules to produce free verse. How the frick else do you justify graduate programs in poetry, when the only rules are no rules?

    1. Most of the RT posts are created ahead of time and scheduled to post automatically. This one was accidentally published early, a couple of comments made it in before I noticed and put it back in queue.

    not me… not mine… not today…

“The Crown has withdrawn manslaughter charges
against a 59-year-old man from Collingwood, Ont.,
who shot and killed two masked men who zip-tied
    and held him at gunpoint
    in a chaotic home invasion.”

of course… he spent 6 months in jail… this is canada.

    1. L- six months in jail ? Clearly, it was to protect him from being the victim of another home
invasion. Can’t be a victim, if you not home !
The Cdn. Justice system where utopians trip out on does of megalomania.

if you didn’t know, Liberal pond scum put an escalator tax on alcohol. It goes up every year. As usual they took zero criticism from the pole smokers of the MSM when it was first announced. They also claim that they haven’t raised taxes on the middle class.

Anyone who says if you don’t like it, don’t consume it probably wipes their ass with leaves or uses moss as tampons and its plain they need a punch in the mouth.

Remember the Carbon tax promise made by PM Dickspank.

  4. CBC reminds everyone this morning, that Blackie is doing a great job getting vaccines. The country is being “flooded” with them. Its those evil Conservative premiers that are screwing things up. Praise Great Leader. Join the Trudeau cult and vote Liberal!

  5. Ontario takes a hit for the West?
    As usual, asshole Quebec skates.

“With over half of Alberta’s oil effectively shut-in, Ottawa had to do more to increase market access for Alberta crude. In 1961, it announced the National Oil Policy. Refineries west of the Ottawa Valley Line were obliged to process Canadian crude; refiners in Quebec and Atlantic Canada could process much cheaper imported crude. West of the Line, consumers paid a price linked to the U.S. price, some 60 per cent higher than the price of Middle East oil delivered to the east coast. ”

  6. Blackie’s CBC website has found a group that is ranting that the Trans Mountain Pipeline should be cancelled. Its reasoning is that now that the Supreme Court has backed Adolf, global warming policies will eliminate the need for oil.

    1. The Trans Mountain has been publicly owned for almost two years, is only 20% complete, was shut down for almost four months during the winter construction season for “safety”, has had the UNDRIP recognized by the government encouraging additional lawfare by the ecofascists, and now there is a report saying it is uneconomic to proceed. Anyone who says that this is not a setup for cancellation after the Boy’s next election victory is full of it. With the cancellation the isolation of the western economy will be complete. Where are the Kenney/Moe statements? Wexit https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/bc-trans-mountain-losses-sfu-study-1.5970802

      1. Anybody thinking TM is going to shut down anytime in the future, is smoking something other than pot. TM spurs south at Abbotsford BC, about 45 min east of the Port Mann Bridge. It supplies a goodly chunk of the State of Washington’s fuel needs, which includes all the wokey US military stationed in the Seattle area. The are NO PIPELINES from the US side into Washington State. Additional crude has been supplied by Alaska, via tanker for some time ’cause TM, built 50 odd years ago is at capacity, hence the expansion/additional pipeline.
Sock Buoy shuts down the TM expansion, or interferes in the original pipeline to the US, you’ll see US troops invade Alberta to secure the oil, despite what you may think of the current makeup of the US Gov’t. It doesn’t matter if Kan-eh-duh owns the new pipeline right now, or later. They are obligated by NAFTA (remember that?) to maintain supply. That’s the deal that seems to be omitted in any discussions about TM. That’s also why Alaska is rattling chains on A2A….rail to McMurray and points beyond. Shorter to Asia and avoids the logjam/wokies in Port of Vancouver and the US west coast. Why is the biggest coal export facility in Vancouver (17 MILLION TONNES/YEAR) operating there rather than say Los Angeles or San Fran for that matter? US Wokies/Greenies. BC cuts deals on COAL fired power sales with Montana, Idaho, Wyoming to screw their own citoyens on power supplies they can’t meet with their own infrastructure and wants to “eliminate” hydrocarbons entirely and go electric. Yeah, right John Boy, whatcha smokin’ union dude.

    1. Does that mean that Arabic numerals are cultural appropriation?

      1. Many the constellations and stars in our sky have Arabic names as well. Does that mean to study the night sky would cultural appropriation?

  7. Canada has had a ban on China-made goods made from slave labour — you know, in their many concentration camps. Yet our stellar customs agency has yet to stop any, since Amazon and other order-by-internet corporations do not have to post country-of-origin information:
    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-no-products-made-with-forced-labour-seized-by-canadian-border-guards/

“Canada’s border guards have not seized any imports made with forced labour since the federal government changed customs legislation nearly nine months ago to prohibit such goods from entering the country.

Ottawa amended the Customs Tariff Act on July 1 to bar imports of goods made with coerced labour. But The Globe and Mail reported this week that Canadians can purchase bath towels, quilts and clothes through online retailers such as Amazon and eBay that are advertised as made with cotton from China’s Xinjiang region. Human-rights activists and academics say the crop should be assumed to be the product of forced labour.

Critics say the ease with which consumers can purchase Xinjiang cotton products calls into question the commitment countries such as Canada have made to stop imports of goods made with forced labour.

A spokeswoman for Canada Border Services Agency said this week that there have been no seizures of products since mid-2020 when the forced-labour prohibition was introduced.

“To date, the CBSA has not applied the tariff prohibition against goods produced by forced labour,” Rebecca Purdy, acting manager of media relations, said in an e-mailed statement. “This would apply to any seizures and/or cancelled shipments due to the goods being produced by forced labour.”

Do not worry. Public Safety Minister Bill Blair is on top of the situation.

  8. I Believe that had ALL North Americans been taking 2-3000 mcg of VITAMIN D on a daily basis, we would never have have even seen this BS Wuhan Flu virus.

Take Vitamin D on a reg basis.? you will NOT get ANY Virus, nor need to take any kind of BS injection either. Its all about the Trillions…

The FACT that since Jan 2020, NOT 1 Govt Health Propagandist PLANET WIDE has come out and stated that FACT….is to me Willful Criminal Negligence.…bordering on a CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY.

Bring on a new set of NUREMBERG Trials. Canada can easily supply the necessary wood for a few thousand gallows. Shit bags like every Mealy mouthed Health nazi asshole mouthpiece in this Country & every nazi POS Politician that vigorously supported them should ALL be swinging from a HEMP rope.

    1. Thanks Steakman for the interesting link from Dr Ryan Cole. He is sincere to the core vis a vis the politicians who are recommending the experimental ‘jab’.

My key notes include some 5 positive items: Yes to taking Vit D tabs in Winter, Magnesium, Ivermectin if needed, 20 to 30′ sunshine daily Summer, healthy diet and avoiding obesity. Ivermectin covers all ‘variants’.

Some negative items against the Jab, key take away: That the mRNA jabs are experimental. Within 6-12 months leads to problems with the auto-immune system. Social distance and masks are necessary after taking jab. Why? Masks do nothing. The jab fluid contains anti-freeze which is harmful.

Guys, as Steakman recommended watch the video.

      P.S.
Theo, your posts are terrific, and much appreciated, as always.

On a personal level, I’ve been ‘on’ the above mentioned positive items except for Ivermectin for some time and have no issues. However, the inclusion of anti-freeze in the jab juice by the evil powers that be, was, in fact, news to me. Also, good to know, that Ivermectin covers new variants of China Flu.
      Again, grateful for the info.

      1. Nancy…
Thank you for your positive Review..LOL.!! My pleasure. Am in a Messenger Group that is voracious in seeking out the TRUTH and often my few links come from there.

It’s hard to keep one self positive these days with utter Madness circulating everywhere. I too was blown away with the Anti Freeze (Polyethylene glycol), Revelation. Incredible..!!

Dr. RYAN’s talk was likely the most informative one I’ve seen to date.
JUST the FACT’S MAAM..!! (car 54..lol or Eliott Ness).

I’ve been on Vitamin D for near 20 yrs. Have not been REALLY sick once, cpl times had a very minor cold & a 24 hr stomach flu, but other than that…NADDA.

I fully believe that when, not if, a New Set of Nuremberg Trials start, the Utter Absence of discussion by the Various Orgs and Health Mouthpieces will be right up there with the TRAVESTY of using the PCR test and those that promoted these LIES will swing…..as they should.

Watch for a guy by the name of REINER FUELLMICH – German American Lawyer, the guy who took down Deutsche Bank on money laundering &* VW on their Diesel Emission Scam to be front and centre in such a TRiAL….he’s already gathering evidence.

Here is an excellent link to a 28 min TESTIMONY to Reiner by a WHO insider:
Absolutely EXPLOSIVE..!! (if the rest of you have not watched this…Highly suggest you do so..!!)

        1. Yes, saw the above, @1:55 when you first posted. Good. Perhaps some might’ve missed it. As far as one can see we are governed by the Bilderburgs since forevah! No use to have current politicians pontificating about a One World Order, or a New World Order, they are “it.”

So, they want to reduce the world’s population. They’re loving the control, the frightened people, the empty roads, the empty institutions, the empty airports, the dead people.

They must be shocked that we’re not all ignorant, that is, Ignorant about their plans, ignorant about how far they’ve advanced them, ignorant of their lies, ignorant about their evilness.

To use your analogy regarding memorable quotes from favorite shows in that other medium, I say, “book’em Dano!” Book ’em now!

Bravo and good luck to Reiner Fuellmich and team.

  9. FOX News is now reporting that Facebook has banned the interview between Lara Trump and Donald Trump. The corrupt corporation says any post featuring Trump’s voice will be banned.

  10. Once revered on the world stage the RCMP is now a completer joke. The FBI is a disgrace and the OPP have been MIA for decades. The only people flourishing are civil servants and politicians. The rest of us are at their mercy. How did we allow this to happen

  11. https://nypost.com/2021/03/31/man-busted-for-attack-on-asian-woman-was-on-parole-for-killing-mom/

The evil attack in New York City on an elderly Filipino lady, branded as one of North America’s signature “Asian hate-crimes,” is terrible, and we must stamp out the horrible white-supremacism that is responsible for this horror.
    Ummm….

They have arrested the alleged perpetrator,
“who was out on parole for killing his own mother back in 2002, authorities said Wednesday.”

    Check out his photo.
    Notice anything interesting?

    1. “(Brandon Elliot, 38) was charged with two counts of second-degree assault as a hate crime and one count of first-degree attempted assault as a hate crime. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison, as well as other consequences related to his lifetime parole.”

Kill your mother, get out in 17 years.

Shove an Asian woman in Woke America…. get 25 years.
