Yes lets demonize Doug Ford , he is the Premier of a province that has not experienced any thing like our present situation in a very long time. I for one was OK with him going to congratulate Hurricane Hazel on her 100 th birthday.. From what I saw social distancing was being practiced and people wore masks so lets not create an envioroment that will allow the liberals to slither into power in the next election or even worse the NDP.
It doesn’t apply to the Toronto Police officers in car 1104, who were sitting together unmasked
it doesn’t apply to all politicians who will never be charged by TPS
it doesn’t apply to bylaw officers who drive around unmasked while enforcing the lockdown orders

The Chief Medical Officer for Manitoba said straight out on the “news” that public health orders do not apply to the government. He said it twice, and said it clear in the same interview.

Ford started out on the right foot,the “experts assured him” that a short lockdown would do the job..So that being a limited risk to a political skin,he went along,believing a quick reopening would follow.
As did many of us.
For who ,at the beginning,could have foreseen the mindless incompetence and drooling lust for authority could continue for 12 months?
Time is on our side,but not for politicians trying to poll their way to success..So it would take a brave person of great conviction to stand up for their citizens and call the bureaucrats the stunning idiots that they turned out to be.
In fact it takes some courage just to realize,Government is the problem..

Even where zero government intervention took place,the Wuhan Flu ,as a pandemic ,was a wet swib.
Not even up to a bad flu year.
In sane,usually poor, countries off the shelf drugs were successfully repurposed to treat this flu.
Some politicians rose to their responsibilities and controlled the panic and shut down the mass hysteria..Letting their citizens make decisions based on the best information available,that The Dread Covid was dangerous,only to certain people,who could be protected by them self isolating.
