  1. Well, it worked for Biden, and Trudeau is leading by example, so why the hell not?

  2. maybe everybody in Canada should get to vote in Newfoundland’s election……Like Miss Kate says
    “Mischief Is Important”

  3. My mother is excited to vote by mail.

She’s dead, but hey every vote counts right?

Speaking of mischief, I wonder if we could get all the Canadian citizens living in China and Hong Kong to declare Papineau as their home riding?

But, sadly Trudeau won’t call the election until they’ve filled in a whole bunch of ballots. These can be swapped out with real ballots on vote counting night.

  4. There aren’t more than 20 people in Newfoundland that have more than 2 braincells to rub together if this passes muster. 2021 is the end of all veils of democracy.

  5. Next time they will simply decide they know what is good for us and if we knew it too we would vote how they like us to vote. So in case our vote does not match their preferences it only shows that we’re wrong and need their help. There, problem solved.

Anyway, as long as Karens feel safe, and imports get free shit there will be no opposition.

    1. Isn’t that what they have been doing all along? Here in Alberta it sure feels like the rest of the Country has been deciding for us for decades. That and they let you know who to vote against, the racists, homophobes, mysoginists… you know Harper, Manning,… anyone according to Kinsella.

  6. There have been four deaths in Newfoundland attributed to covid, which likely means 4 people over 90 who would have died if they caught colds. Oh well, I don’t think the results of an election are going to change anything anyway.

  7. So Rusty.
    4 certain Liberal Votes.
I am very sure we will see fair and democratic elections in the far east, where the most dependent parasite will win ,carried over the victory line by the waves of Gimmee Dat Voters to whom it has promised the most free stuff.
(To be paid for by Alberta) is anyone was awake enough to ask.
Which no one in welfare Can Ahh Duh will do.
Do elections in Newfoundland even matter?
Has there been any change in that areas steady decline, with any change of governing party?

    1. JR, Well thanks to our delightful prime sock monkey, I don’t think Alberta can afford Newfoundland anymore.
However, it doesn’t really matter as they can just print more money. Wait until they get us all on digital accounts and getting free money. That will be interesting for sure. Did you hear the story about the Zimbabwe money collapse? True story, just like Germany in the thirties, people were pushing money around in wheelbarrows just to go buy basic food. Only this time the pusher got mugged, they dumped the money and stole the wheelbarrow!

      1. No one is buying Government of Newfoundland and Labrador bonds. The province is effectively bankrupt. It is only being kept “alive” by the Bank of Canada, which has been purchasing NFLD bonds in the secondary market. The Bank of Canada is printing money to make these purchases. It is one big house of cards that is going to fall soon. At least these people know how to fish and live off the land (most of them, anyway). They’ll survive. They always do.

  8. “The 10 Steps to Winning An Election Using Mail-in Ballots”
———– AKA How to Disenfranchise NFLD Voters ———–

Step 1: Get the voters list from the campaign office.
Step 2: Identify voters who rarely or never vote.
Step 3: Have blank Mail-In-Ballots printed up.
Step 4: Insert the names of the voters who rarely or never vote.
Step 5: Mark ballots for your candidate and sign and date them.
Step 6: Place those same ballots in the ballot drop-off boxes.
Step 7: Look surprised when voter turnout goes up, way up.
Step 8: Congratulate the Get-Out-the-Vote Team for a great job.
Step 9: Celebrate your candidate’s well deserved victory.
Step 10: When ask about Election Fraud – deny, deny, deny.

  9. As a Newfoundlander who resides in Texas the issue isn’t Mail in ballots. The issue is the fact the province is bankrupt and all political parties are ignoring and refusing to address the issue.

  10. This will happen all of the country and Canadians will be glad for it.

Idiots may be running the show (read: fraud) but idiots are sitting back and letting it happen.

  11. I think at this point there should be no illusions that elections are free and democratic. . . . Not sure it ever occurred to you , but most of the choices are made before you vote. The question now is were they ever honest.

  12. We just had an election in B.C., they used either in person of mail in ballots. I chose the MIB’s,as did my wife, my kids voted in person.
The MIB’s were sensibly done, postage paid, and I have no doubt we had a fair election, even the losing Liberals (god I love that phrase) had no complaints. I’m sure the Nfld. election will be honest and well done.

Some people DO have a tendency to panic and doubt anything they didn’t think up. I accept the Nfld. vote count, and even if I didn’t,what could I do except make silly remarks about the election on the internet?

I notice IF a Conservative wins, there’s never any doubt the poll was honest.

  13. Don,

Down here in the US, it is just the opposite, if a Republican wins, the Democrats ALWAYS say the vote was stolen. Just look at Florida in 2000, Ohio in 2004, and Russian America in 2016. Luckily for us, the Democrats won in 2020, so the various state and federal courts spared us from any controversy by refusing to even take up the cases.

  14. Who the F cares. I’ve had my fill of those Atlantic Appalachian ne’er do wells which was really magnified in the last election, so do what thou wilt.
Alberta single handedly provided the most employment for that Hellscape of halfwits not to mention a serious injection of cash…so how do they vote in the Federal election? Liberal of course. I guess overt Liberal Party hostility to Oil Sands development wasn’t quite overt enough for them. But hey, who cares when Ottawa cuts ya checks every year to cover your nut.
And in case you’re thinking I’m singling them out I’m not. I have to put up with the shit for brains 905’ers in this Province.
A moot point anyways, free and fair elections will be a thing of the past soon enough.

  15. There has never been a fair election in Canada. PEI with a population of 150k and net economic output of zero has more MPs (4 all libtards) than Burlington, ON (1) with a population of 200k.

  16. Votes are already tallied and winner “elected”, just need an “official day” to announce it to everyone else.
