    1. cal2 – The most popular sitcom on television at the time got 75 million views. Trump got 76 million votes. The MSM will tell you that Seinfeld was one of the most popular comedians of all time, while painting Trump as one of the least popular presidents. The theory of relativity for media.

  1. He made suspenders stylish again.

……actually, no. He probably single-handedly killed them as a fashion accessory. No one wanted to be accused of trying to look like Larry King.

  2. Watched the clip several times over the years and at no time did I get the sense King didn’t know anything about the show
“You gave it up right? They didn’t cancel you…you cancelled them.”
King never said anything that was untrue. King used an interview technique to gain a better sense of the decision making process with respect to the show, which you have to admit was pretty unusual at the time and Seinfeld acted like Larry stepped on his mother’s head.
    Sheeeeesh! Insecurities much?

        1. Yup, juuuuuuuust a smidgeon and barely perceptible. Not full bore leftist…but you knew something was going on.

    1. Larry King died a couple of decades ago, they are just finally getting around to burying him now.

    1. They just couldn’t find his phylactery.

(And lest I be pegged as something I am not, I am referring to the D&D variety, not the Hebrew version.

  3. To be honest, I never understood his (King’s) appeal. A Jewish noodge. A role better played by an old Jewish woman.

  4. King was a decent interviewer in his prime. The problem is that he hit his best-before date and didn’t stop.

  5. Listening to Larry King on late, late night radio was when I first began to realized that much of MSM was BS.

  6. I listened to him on the radio before he was on CNN. He was just a mouth piece for the left. He left radio because people were tired of his liberal spew and called him out on it.
He liked the oil industry as much as Regina City council does.

    1. @Thomas
I was(still am with reruns) a big fan of Seinfeld. I was a little taken aback at first by his manner but then I convinced myself he was just ragging on, being like Jerry on the show. He was grinning all through the chat.

    2. Frankly, I never figured out just what his appeal was. I didn’t consider him to be particularly funny as he came across as a stupid git.

On the other hand, I’m a Monty Python fan.

      1. In the Twit Olympics … King was a Gold Medalist. However he liked the color Bronze and traded with the 3rd place finisher

  7. I feel he pick a good time to pass away as our corrupted future will be horrendous.
I started pulling out my own creativity when more and more laws and restrictions were imposed.
So now, the many areas that I was working in now needs certificates or an engineering stamp.
I am a very much quality oriented type and some of that woodworking was truly amazing.
I have yet to see any of it replicated as I generated some of my own jigs and tools.
When my wife passed, I destroyed what I had created for her.
Only one piece of my work lives and is being enjoyed by a family that truly appreciated it.

  8. King was a hardcore Dodgers fan, and I believe a son of his is/was a player in the Dodgers system.
A pretty lousy year so far for the Dodgers…Lasorda, Sutton and now King.
Winning the World Series last season might’ve set off a curse…

  9. The 800lb gorilla in the room is the fact that LK died within a week of Biden’s inauguration. His show recorded someone who sounded like Tara Reade’s mother on April 24th 1994 calling in to report something rotten having happened to her daughter. It’s maybe only the only critical piece of independent proof of what JB did to Tara. Heck of a coincidence. I found LK’s interviews watchable and interesting. Like being a fly on the wall in a barbershop I suppose.

  10. I’ll hand it to Larry King for one aspect of his show.
When a person came on the show who happened to have strong religious convictions he never dismissed them or treated them with contempt like so many do, especially our ‘moral and intellectual superiors’.

  11. I’m no Larry King fan, but I agree with burton that in this clip he knew the score about the Seinfeld show. And Seinfeld surely knew that he did and was having fun. Many think Jerry was arrogant here; I did too initially but later realized it was just a good schtick.

I enjoyed Larry’s voluble, ready laugh, always real, never faux.

    1. only a week ago hank aaron got the covid shot , not a word of that , doesnt fit the narrative .
