      1. As an old man I won’t be taking the vaccine. So Hank Aron lived 17 more days after getting the vaccine.

        1. vowg, “So Hank Aron lived 17 more days after getting the vaccine.”

orrrrr, it could be said,,, “Hank Aaron only lived 17 days, after receiving the vaccine” !!!

      1. That was outstanding. Really illustrates well the current problem with “scientific” research. Unfortunately, whenever something is deemed “science” in the media, people assume that it really is based on traditional scientific practices, and that most definitely is no longer the case.

  1. In my eighth decade I’ve read or seen or heard a lot of “greats.” Vin Scully ranks at or very near the top. His silent moments, letting the crowd take over, are far more eloquent than the words of others.

Hank Aaron was no slouch either.

  2. Now do you feel safe to fly?

Man lived inside O’Hare for 3 months before detection, prosecutors say.

“So if I understand you correctly,” (judge) Ortiz said, “you’re telling me that an unauthorized, nonemployee individual was allegedly living within a secure part of the O’Hare airport terminal from Oct. 19, 2020, to Jan. 16, 2021, and was not detected?

    1. Request for an answer from our SDA engineers and scientists. Why isn’t plastic just burned as it is a petroleum product and I believe there are energy plants in Europe that do burn plastics and garbage to create electricity?

      1. Bang on DAVID.

I have been advocating that since Christ was a cowboy…. We have scrubber Technology – There is ZERO reason NOT TO. Yet our ChiCom BOUGHT N PAID FOR Master (NenXi), in Calgary has decided to not even entertain THAT notion, and as such, given we cant GIVE away our recyclable material, we store it in hundreds and by now, thousands of containers in one of our Industrial parks….a storage facility paid for by homeowners and business.

Hells bells, these clowns are so stupid, we don’t (I do believe), have a methane collection system in any of our land fills either. But they (the civic politicians), will tell ya to a man/woman/xit, that they’re GREEN don’t ya know…

      2. Because that would provide cheap and plentiful power and have a couple of ugly smokestacks from which steam would be seen to rise (modern burning is very clean, but the hot gasses that rise include a lot of water that convert to steam the moment they start to cool off).

You’re confusing “I want to fix a problem” relating to garbage and electricity with “I want to change the world” by making more non-elites live in garbage and filth and have more expensive lives, therefore making the elites ever farther above the common man. After all, what’s the point of being a noble / an elite if you live the same as the commoners?

Bill Whittle has a piece on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RofJ27sE6Rg

It’s 20 minutes long, but the first 5 will give you the core of it.

    1. Why are we still in this thing?

“it is becoming more and more difficult, perhaps even impossible, to answer the basic question: If you allow the savaging of our economy, if you ignore what we in Alberta have contributed to you during the good times, if you side with rabid environmentalism, pour on carbon taxes and fuel emission standards, if you bar every effort to build even one damn pipeline: Why are we in this thing?”

Rex Murphy: Were I an Albertan today, I’d be asking: What’s the point?

    2. One area that nobody ever talks or thinks about is that the US Military uses an extraordinary amount of fossil fuels…
Who has to pay for that.
Again this is in the interest of China as the US bankrupt itself.

      Oh yah, the US taxpayers.

  3. Ontario mother fined $880 under stay-at-home order for leaving children with grandparents.

She had to go shopping for groceries so she left her toddlers with the grandparents.

So law and orders morons, why don’t you provide examples of the good police officers who refused to follow those orders?

    /crickets chirping/

    Jackbooted thugs one and all.

        1. Nov 17, 2020 — At this point in last year’s flu season, Canada had already recorded 711 positive cases of influenza. So far this year, there have been just 17.

        2. And the Sun parrots the fear mongering by condemning the doctor. So glad I cancelled my subscription.

      1. I’m sure you’re still a piece of excrement demagogue ray/Angel/whateverisyourname today

  4. RIP Hank Aaron

I saw him play in the 1970s and when he stepped up to the plate the crowd went wild, and when bat met the ball, it was like magic.

Aaron’s autobiography, “I Had a Hammer” was published in 1990. The book’s title is a play on his nickname, “The Hammer” or “Hammerin’ Hank”, and the title of the folk song “If I Had a Hammer.”

    1. Ian, notice that Twitter et. al. are shutting Antifa down a day after their violent protests in Portland and Seattle, whereby the thugs protested against President Biden. The corrupt social media oligarchs kept Antifa online during the entire Trump administration. Corrupt. Corrupt.

Look for Twitter, Facebook to get a free ride in the Democratic-controlled Congress. The needed payback will take place.

    2. Based on similar events, BLM/Antifa will suffer their own version of the “Night of the Long Knives”.

      1. Yup. Re-living the 1930’s German experience.

But there was no 2nd amendment there and then. I wonder what will be the final straw? A lot have talked about the Romanian experience, I think it will be something different.

  5. So while fascist China continues to dominate manufacturing and jobs, Pervert Joe, Blackie, and Boris discussed global warming scams yesterday. And Warren Kinsella explains on twitter that Biden didn’t cancel Keystone, over fracking did.

  6. The G&M reports that the Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau did not vet the Rt. Hon. Julie Payette properly:
    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-trudeau-says-government-re-examining-governor-general-vetting-process/

    Paywalled:
“Julie Payette did not undergo a thorough background check before Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appointed her to serve as Canada’s 29th governor-general in 2017, according to three sources with knowledge of the vetting process.

Officials in the Prime Minister’s Office did not reach out to former employers of Ms. Payette to determine her suitability for the viceregal role or talk to former colleagues who would have had knowledge of her history as a manager, the sources say.

Mr. Trudeau and PMO officials were struck by her celebrity status from the moment former prime minister Jean Chrétien suggested the onetime astronaut be named to take over from David Johnston as governor-general, the sources said.

The Globe and Mail is not identifying the sources because they are not authorized to speak about the vetting of Ms. Payette, who resigned on Thursday after an independent review found that she and her deputy – long-time friend Assunta Di Lorenzo – bullied and verbally abused staff at Rideau Hall.

On Friday, in his first public comments on the unprecedented resignation, the Prime Minister insisted that Ms. Payette went through a proper background check.

“For all high-level appointments, there is a rigorous vetting process that was followed in this case,” Mr. Trudeau told reporters. “Obviously, we will continue to look at that vetting process to ensure that it is the best possible process as we move forward.”

However, Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc told The Globe in an interview that the vetting was inadequate and that they only learned of Ms. Payette’s alleged abusive behaviour toward underlings from media reports last summer.”

    1. I heard she Was vetted and Juthtin and his pals were told in no uncertain terms that she should Not be appointed, but that he did it anyway.
Either way he’s a shit-eating liar and so is LeBlank, but what’s new?

    2. Payette as GG is what happens when virtue signalling takes precedence over competence. But for Trudeau, that’s his reality, all the world is just a stage, there’s no reality only acting.

  7. Blacklock’s Reporter, as mentioned here at SDA yesterday, reported about the internal audit at Public Works Canada. The Globe today reports Blacklock’s findings (without giving them proper attribution). The other media are keeping a lid on it:
    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/article-internal-audit-lays-bare-problems-at-public-health-agency-of-canada/

“The Public Health Agency of Canada has acknowledged in newly released federal documents a critical shortage of scientific expertise to confront the pandemic, and the department has been scrambling to plug those holes as the outbreak worsened.

The admission in documents released this week follows a Globe and Mail investigation in July that reported Public Health lost much of its scientific capacity in the years before COVID-19 hit, severely hindering the country’s pandemic preparedness and response.

Doctors and epidemiologists said the agency became populated by civil servants with no background in public health. They told The Globe that important information often had to be “dumbed down” before it was moved up the chain of command, while early warnings about the urgency of the outbreak were shrugged off or ignored by directors within the department.

Two federal probes have been launched into the allegations, including an investigation by the Auditor-General and an independent review ordered by the Health Minister. While the department has mostly remained silent about the problems, an internal audit performed in September – two months after The Globe’s investigation – acknowledged “multiple capacity and skills gaps across the agency” that have hurt Canada’s response to the pandemic.

“It quickly became evident that the agency did not have the breadth and depth of human resources required to support an emergency response of this never-seen-before magnitude, complexity or duration,” the internal audit report says.

The document, titled “Lessons Learned,” was among hundreds of internal federal files released this week in response to a sweeping production order approved in October by the House of Commons over the objections of Liberal MPs. It shows a Public Health Agency caught flat-footed by COVID-19, scrambling to hire expertise from outside government, and scouring other departments for epidemiologists and emergency-management skills.

“Longer-term mobilization efforts have been challenged by an inability to find available staff to fill capacity gaps and, in particular, available staff with the required skills and expertise,” the internal audit says.

The Globe reported in July that the agency’s ranks swelled over the past decade with civil servants from departments such as Treasury Board and border services, while doctors and epidemiologists left in frustration. By September, the internal audit confirmed the agency was in dire need of “public health expertise, including epidemiologists, psychologists, behavioural scientists and physicians at senior levels.”

A Globe investigation in December reported that the agency in recent years stopped sending scientists to key international meetings on pandemic preparedness, instead choosing senior civil servants with no epidemiological training.”

  8. Let’s just face it, our governments are trying to kill us.
Biden policies will only generate shortages and higher prices to life warming heat that we need for survive.
China signed all these global warming agreements and are increasing their consumption and the West is trying to fulfill theirs.
Can you say idiots are our leaders as we freeze to death.
This China virus and testing started from them as well which was manipulated.

So yes Johnny, the heat I can’t afford came from our governments refusing to be self sufficient and foreign policies they impose, sign and fail to keep their word.
    Thanks Justin, our China puppet.

  9. Toronto Sun reports that an advisor to WHO is stating that evidence shows that the China virus came from the Wuhan lab, not from wet markets. So when is Blackie going to demand reparations from China?

    1. He’ll just get more Chinese troops training on Canadian soil until we are overwhelmed by Chinese troops. Just need to add more ” training bases”.

    2. Funny thing….recall the news headlines how Orange Man Bad had “Pressured Spy Agencies To Link Covid Outbreak To Wuhan Lab” AND Orange Man Bad ended up discredited cuz back in April 2020, the 5 Eyes Spy agencies ruled out that the Chicom virus was man made and had leaked fro the Wuhan lab.

Contrary to what Chicom apologists would like you to believe: NO its not just the seasonal flu.

      1. Airlines force passengers to wear these face diapers that have little effect on reducing the spread BUT (from what I read) they have also outlawed passengers from wearing a more effective PPE than a face diaper if they choose to do so. This policy goes back to Canada having sent our supply of PPE to the Chicoms at start of the outbreak.

        1. In case you missed the latest recommendations from Public Health Canada – wear 3-layers of non-medical masks. The Public Health website now includes instructions for making three-layer masks. But don’t be wearing anything more effective like medical masks you can buy yourself if you are so inclined.

Health Canada have come along way since March 2020 when they recommended not wearing masks cuz they had given our supply of masks to the Chicoms.

      2. Experienced the Kafka COVID theatre first hand yesterday flying from the UK to Montreal. Step 1 negative PCR testing no more than 72 hours ahead (privately done and paid for by me $350 … actually saw one poor guy turned away at the check-in queue who had a negative test from the public health system NHS, which was not allowed, and another guy having a panic when he learned that he also needed a negative rapid antigen test because the Dutch government a week ago announced that was a requirement even for passengers only connecting through Schipol but fortunately the private company on site at Edinburgh airport had quickly set up to do it and he re-appeared 20 min later with his precious $80 negative result, which was fortunate since we were on the last flight before the complete shutdown announced days earlier by the panicked Dutch) Step 2 on the plane to Canada, everyone on the plane who all were temperature tested and PCR test checked before stepping on the plane still has to wear a mask Step3 disembarcation from the plane is strictly by row number and distanced, not off a normal fixed ramp into the terminal at the 90% empty Montreal airport but instead on the tarmac into one of those clunky rising transporter buses where everyone was stuffed like sardines, the airport authorities having decided that distancing requirement at that moment was only 2cm. Step 4 fill out another form for the Cdn government COVID team in the terminal repeating the same data already provided on two other Cdn government forms. Along the way through I notice the Immigration processing area has quite a few people in it. The “essential travel” of new immigrants continues apace!

  10. Blacklock reviews a new book on Canadian soldiers that were murdered by Hitler youth during World War Two.

      1. “And there is the village of Bretteville-sur-Laize, where the French erected a memorial to Private Gérard Doré of Roberval, Que., a veteran of the Fusiliers Mont-Royal. Doré enlisted at 15 and was dead at 16, “believed to be the youngest Canadian soldier killed in Normandy.” The marker reads: ‘Volunteer’.”
Obviously Private Doré was Not a soldier in Quebec’s Zombie Army.

        1. When I was stationed in Germany, I took some of my men and we went on a tour of places where Canadian soldiers fought and died. One of the stops was the location where the atrocity took place.

      2. The 12th SS Panzer Division “Hitlerjugend” executed 100 or so Canadian prisoners in Normandy. As a result, the Canadian Army summarily executed virtually all SS prisoners, likely thousands. I knew someone whose SS uncle was alive when the war ended but was never seen again. Shooting prisoners is never a good idea, what with “what goes around comes around.”

While most of the common soldiers were the latest crop of Hitler Youth to come of age, the officers and NCOs were battle hardened on the Russian front where the niceties of war were rarely observed. It was the old soldiers, not the babies who were the big problem.

    1. Didn’t you know? “Belief” in The State’s approved “science” is mandatory. You have to give the State time to produce new … “smoothed” … data to correct your erroneous data.

  11. I respect what Hank Aaron did. He stayed healthy for a long time, and was a very great hitter. He hit more MLB home runs than anyone else.

Home Run King? Not so much. In a list of HR/AB – i.e. roughly how many times you hit a home run per trip to the plate – he comes 40th. Even if you take out the suspected juicers (McGwire, Bonds, Sosa, Cansesco, etc.), he still doesn’t crack the top 30.

League leader? Aaron led the NL in HR five times – no slouch! But Ralph Kiner with 7 (in a row!), and Mike Schmidt with 8 did better. Over in the AL, Ruth led 11 times, and Harmon Killebrew 6. Mantle had 4, and would have had a fifth, but Maris hit 61 when Mantle hit 58.

So, Hank Aaron – great hitter? Yes. Great home run hitter? Yes. Hit more homers than anyone else? Yes. Best HR hitter of all time – highly debatable.

  12. Is Conservative Tree House a no-no?
Have I wandered into Liberal censor Hq?
    Am I banned?

    Unable to post links………?
    Help appreciated.

  13. Cheryl Gallant has a revealing piece on Canadian soldiers being infected with “pneumonia” while on maneuvers in Wuhan. October 2019. It was okay, though, because the Chicoms said the Covid thing started in a food market. Canadian officials have kept silent.
    https://youtu.be/nmIpEznFP2Q

    1. Back in May 2020 it was reported that French athletes had caught virus at World Military Games in Wuhan in October 2019 and were told to shut up about it.

  14. Well look here. The WHO has suddenly agreed that the PCR tests result in too many false positives, and have revised their guidelines accordingly. But we are currently locked down because of “cases, cases, cases” based on PCR tests. The revised guidelines should result in fewer cases. When did this happen? Why on Inauguration Day, Jan 20th. Yet the excessive false positives was known about months ago.
    https://www.theepochtimes.com/who-changes-ccp-virus-test-criteria-in-attempt-to-reduce-false-positives_3668064.html?utm_source=newsnoe&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=breaking-2021-01-23-2
No wonder so many people are convinced there is a hidden agenda behind this pandemic. I believe most lower level local bureaucrats (Tam, provinciial etc.) just follow the WHO. So you don’t need corruption everywhere, you just need mediocre, compliant bureaucrats, and we have them in Canada in spades.
