    1. Damn 1984, forced labour, up to 3300 dead. I thought I read the year wrong but the end of Romanian communism was not that long after.

      1. I know a couple of guys who worked in Romania under Ceausescu. They were Canadians there to build a CANDU reactor. They were expected to live on the local economy and were put up in 20 story apartment buildings with no elevators, no electricity and no running water. Part of their pay was given in local currency but the only thing they could buy was bread. It didn’t take them long to revolt and then they got special treatment like food and water.

    2. Dem Senator says the heavy building’s might tip over.
Is the Tower of Pizza still standing?

      1. No, that’s islands. Guam in particular. And only the US navy personnel are heavy enough to make it tip over.

And he’s too busy chewing on the pizza(gate?) to worry about whether it will topple on him.

    3. Bot?

Last time I will ask this question. I can ignore Sophia’s offering of clickbait everyday. It’s a quality offering with this description:
“You’ll fell in love with this amazing blog.”

    1. I suggested “Justin ‘Blackface’ Trudeau Academy”. I wonder if anyone there get the joke.

  1. Oops, all that Happy New Year in Wuhan came to naught, eh? Only 14 days ago. : https://www.theepochtimes.com/chinese-province-of-38-million-tells-residents-to-isolate-at-home-as-virus-outbreak-worsens_3657250.html
Oh well, it’s just that “second wave” right?

Tell me, borders in Kan-eh-duh are closed to Chinah yet? Ever? We’re keeping as close an eye on Chinah as ever, right? Flights still arriving? Refugees still crossing at Roxham Road? It’s just the flu, right? The Chicoms aren’t “testing” more viruses, are they? The Tool is on top of things, eh? They all got a raise a while back, right? Did you?

    1. You could have warned us that it was a Still report, and that the first minute was an ad. Oh, and that the next 2 minutes was an ad for cloudhub.

And that the last 30 seconds was a different ad.

        1. Bill Still’s been around and reported the U. S. government for some 50 years. He’s often a good source of information.

      1. He has to run those ads because YouTube demonetized him 2 or 3 years ago. He’s wondering just when YT will completely shut down his channel.

    1. Well, Dr Bonnie Nazi disagrees with Whoregan, and she’s been calling this shots for months.

For once, I agree with her.

BC residents are showing their ugly side. Intolerant, and hating anyone beyond their borders. I’m ashamed to be BC resident, with all the hate, intolerance, and Karen behaviours.

      1. Don’t worry, it’s a Canadian thing.

        Widespread and all encompassing.

Canada, and Canadians are a joke from start to finish.

No balls, no brains, no guts.

        That’s Canada.

      2. I disagree with closing the borders (unless it’s to Easterners (kidding, kind of). Keep in mind the Welfare Parts of the country (QC, the Maritimes, etc) have practiced this at various times during the plandemic.

    2. B-
If I may, in the event of new restrictions due to covid, wouldn’t you qualify for an exemption from the B.C. government on the basis that your ‘trip’ would be ‘business’ related.

      1. The B. C. government already treats me as if I’m a squatter. I have to pay a premium on the property tax because I’m not a resident. Also, I could register and insure my truck in B. C., but for something like $3500/year, again, because I’m not considered a resident.

As for whether I’d be there on “essential” business, I wouldn’t put it past Victoria to say I should find someone else to take care of the settlement for me.

Lotusland hates the rest of Canada, Alberta in particular, that much.

        1. Sorry about that bud. We’re not all crazy here – just enough (<40%) of voters to elect the idiots grab 100% of the power. Didn’t help that our last ‘conservative’ govt was a local division of the Libranos crime family and folks got tired of them.

          1. When I was at UBC more than 40 years ago, I was hard-pressed to find anyone who was a conservative. It was as if everyone there was a hard-core Gaia-loving socialist.

          2. Thank God we opened up immigration because now it’s all Chinese. Portends well for the province.

        2. ” I have to pay a premium on the property tax because I’m not a resident.”

That was as popular on the right as on the left. Gotta stick it to them foreignerz don’t you know. DEY TRK R JERBS

    3. That could get interesting if Alberta reciprocates; eastern British Columbia comes across the border for a lot of specialist health care as much closer than having to go to Vancouver.

Golden may be upset; further south there are ads on Calgary TV stations (during local newscasts) saying BC resorts are open for skiing. And got an ad from a resort have visited offering a really good deal.

  2. Could it be that there is a ray of sunshine on the horizon? Yesterday the powers that be announced that some covid 19 restrictions will be lifted in Alberta for certain businesses, effective Monday.

Here is the article from the Calgary Sun:

    https://www.calgarysun.com/news/local-news/live-at-330-hinshaw-updates-covid-19-stats-vaccine-rollout-news/wcm/ef6749c7-a72d-4510-971a-6cc8e0981360

P.S. I was at one of the Alberta Health Services buildings yesterday for a patient teaching session and while I was issued a face mask I was not screened with the usual questionnaire about COVID issues as it pertained to myself. So, this is a change.

However, when I took the C-Train there were Peace Officers swarming the area searching for people breaking the law. Their eyes darted from side to side like they were animals looking for food. I did not witness any lawbreakers. The officers moved on.

  3. Lorrie Goldstein at the Toronto Sun writes about how Angry Adolf wants to curb free speech.

  4. New York Times reports that the Huawei executive in Vancouver receives private painting lessons and massage treatments. Spends a lot of her time shopping at expensive shops and spent Christmas at a restaurant opened just for her and fourteen guests.

    1. There’s a whole section of downtown Vancouver that’s devoted to luxury shopping for the Mainland Chinese set (Alberni Street and environs). Try entering one of the stores there (Gucci, Prada, Rolex, etc.) and browsing just for kicks sometime, if you want to know what future is going to be like for Gwai Lo Canadian subjects of the coming Chinese Empire. The best you’ll do is that the entirely Chinese staff will ignore you and pretend not to speak English. Likely you’ll be followed closely at all times by a staff member. Same thing happens at certain restaurants (like the one opened just for Ms. Meng) in Vancouver and Richmond.

  5. Blackie’s bought and paid for CTV reports, that the fascist president of fascist China wants the socialist president of Starbucks to help improve relations between fascist China and Joe Biden’s America. I’m sure Hunter Biden can help with that.

    1. What a nightmare! I heard about this disaster many years ago. What a sad part of that city’s history!

Can you just imagine trying to clean that up and wading through that mess to look for dead bodies, not to mention the sight of ruined real estate and people’s belongings? Sadly, 21 people were killed, 150 people were injured, and 25 horses also perished.

Millions of gallons of salt water was used to clean up the sticky mess and the smell of molasses lingered for many years.

      Here’s more info:
      https://www.boston.com/news/history/2019/01/14/great-molasses-flood-cleanup-aftermath

  6. And now your Canadians are racist bastards story for today. Blacklock reports that Adolf’s dept. of health is giving a consultant to the Canada Food Guide, ninety thousand dollars to encourage Canadians to eat more diverse food. This comes after the consultant complained that too many white people run restaurants and supply wine.

    1. “too many white people run restaurants and supply wine.”

So who are among the worst drunks and dopers? Sikhs and Muslims. Whitie has no monopoly on hypocrisy.

  7. A virus typically lasts about 5 weeks– up and down. A second wave — same thing, up and down. Something very off here. One of the reasons I am suspicious about a vaccine is the very unusual way this virus has been treated. There seems to be no justification for the extreme measures, and production of the vaccine terribly rushed. This guy has some interesting things to say about the vaccine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVq_Eufr9fw

    1. On a related note, there is this article by Iain Davis.
      https://off-guardian.org/2021/01/03/what-vaccine-trials/
What has gone by unremarked is how the CEO of Pfizer exercised his stock options on the day news of the vaccine was released. To do so as an insider requires advance notice. So, how did he know that the vaccine would be ready in August for November release on exactly that day?

  8. Oh No! Angry Adolf became really angry while his loyal journalists were worshipping him. He was visibly outraged when asked about the Bloc leader raising questions about his muslim transport minister. Adolf ranted that the Bloc leader was copying the tactics of evil Trump and Republicans. Rosemary Barton and others at the CBC were also outraged that the transport ministers past muslim activities were questioned. The Bloc leader is obviously a domestic terrorist.

    1. OMFG I just caught this! The new Transport Minister is (one of) the Muslim Brotherhood plant(s)!! When he was first elected were there not cries of ‘Allah Akbar’ at his headquarters?

  9. L- Yes, there are some police, who don’t want to obey illegal orders. Who don’t want to violate citizen’s Constitutional Rights! The reputation and status of police with the public will rest on this case. The Administration of Justice is being brought into Disrepute, too.

These Peace Officers are acting out of moral courage. No doubt, they’ll face repercussions.

“To Serve and Protect” under Common-Law/Constitutional Rights or under Marxist Law ?

“Police on Guard for Thee” retain Rocco Galati as Legal Counsel
“”Several active Police Officer in Ontario, many of whom are members of “Police on Guard for Thee”, have retained the legal services of Rocco Galati, supported and backed by the Constitutional Rights Centre, to bring a Court application, in the Superior Court of Ontario, in order to clarify the constitutionality of the Covid Measures they are being asked/directed to enforce as well as clarification on the scope of their authority, duty and discretion in their enforcement. They are concerned about the apparent Charter violations of this “enforcement”. …”

  10. L- A caller to the CKOM John Gormley show today, in a near breaking voice said: Her teenage son has committed suicide due to the shutdown of school and isolation from his friends.

There is no one in her area that has contracted Corvid-19. But some of her neighbours who had signed up to be tested for it. They got tired of waiting in line for the test. So they turned around and went home. They all received a letter telling them they had tested positive for Corvid-19, from a test they never had !

Who will answer for this ? Who will demand an answer ? “Tear down this wall !”(Pres. Reagan)

    1. Unless we get up, get out and beat them into the ground they will kill us all. No one will ever answer for any of the lies and bullshit we have been force fed, now take your vaccine, put your mask on and go and die where no one can see you. That is where the stupid people in this country are. There has been more than one suicide as a result of the totalitarian government actions. Canadians are all cowards and will do S F A about anything. Did i mention most of them are stupid and are politicians and bureaucrats.

    2. “They all received a letter telling them they had tested positive for Corvid-19, from a test they never had !”

      A likely story.

  11. For a bit of diversion from the current doom and gloom, another one of my movie alerts.

On TCM tonight, Charade, with Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, and Walter Matthau in what’s been called the best Alfred Hitchcock movie that he never made.

Tomorrow, it’ll be showing Rear Window (Jimmy Stewart and Grace Kelly) and on The Essentials, TCM has The Searchers, probably John Wayne’s best western movie and another John Ford masterpiece. At midnight, it’s The Falcon and the Snowman with Timothy Hutton and Sean Penn. I haven’t seen that one in many years.

The Saturday of next week, it’ll be Red River with the Duke, Montgomery Clift, and Walter Brennan. John Ford remarked after John Wayne’s performance in it, “I never the knew the SOB could act.”

  12. Fox News reports that Twitter will be calling President Harris’s husband, second gentleman. I guess all the other men she has bedded will be called “the other johns”.

  13. And now another Canadians are racist bastards story. Blackie’s CTV News reports that a large group of whiny indian historians, are stating that people who defend Sir John A. Macdonald are defending Canada’s history of white supremacy.

    1. Where the hell are these people supposedly “defending John A. MacDonald“ anyway? Are they like all those white supremacists hiding under every bed? Nice try, CTV. 😀

  14. It is the classic fallacy of our time that a moron run through a university and decorated with a Ph.D. will thereby cease to be a moron.
    H. L. Mencken

    1. Another Mencken doozie:

“On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

  15. In 1935 in The Doctrine of Fascism the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini wrote:
The Fascist conception of the State is all-embracing; outside of it no human or spiritual values can exist, much less have value. Thus understood, Fascism is totalitarian.”
    And:
Just like Canada. And with Canada’s Rigged Elections. The Fascist State ……makes its action felt throughout the length and breadth of the country by means of its corporate, social, and educational institutions, and all the political, economic, and spiritual forces of the nation, organized in their respective associations, circulate within the State.”
And in Fascism: Doctrine and Institutions he said:
The corporate State considers that private enterprise in the sphere of production is the most effective and useful instrument in the interest of the nation. In view of the fact that private organization of production is a function of national concern, the organizer of the enterprise is responsible to the State for the direction given to production.”

  16. “Every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”- ‘1984,’ George Orwell

  17. I just heard that the largest amateur radio gathering in the world, the Dayton Hamvention, is cancelled for another year.

Fortunately, an on-line ham meeting will be held once again, run by the same American radio amateur living in Israel who ran it last year.

  18. The NRA has filed for bankruptcy. Paying for Wayne LaPierre’s indulgences isn’t cheap. A perfect synecdoche for the entire US political right, which is bankrupt in every way on every level.

    1. Hard to believe, you’ve got part of one right. Your reasoning is as far off as we’ve come to expect, but there’s actually a kernel of truth in what you said. To facilitate the strategic plan and restructuring, the NRA and one of its subsidiaries have filed voluntary chapter 11 petitions in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division. As you may know, chapter 11 proceedings are often utilized by businesses, nonprofits and organizations of all kinds to streamline legal and financial affairs.

      from https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2021/01/15/nra-leaving-new-york-for-texas-as-part-of-bankruptcy-restructuring/

They’re trying to get out of New York and relocate to Texas without incurring too much extra costs. Because Democrats tend to penalize those who try to escape them. Almost like they have to put up walls to keep people in…

  19. I had the misfortune of reading all the so-called main stream media papers today Toronto Star, Toronto Sun, Globe and Mail. National Post, USA Today Ottawa Citizen and was disgusted. No wonder so many people in this country are ill-informed. There was not one bit of proof in any of those publications. How low has journalism sunk, they are now on a lower level than racetrack grooms, used car salesmen and dare we say politicians. My apologies to grooms and salesmen for ranking you with the previously mentioned low life.
