In my quest to ditch Amazon, google, Firefox etc I found this browser, “Brave”. So far seems good. Not sure how the rewards thing works yet. Just throwing another option out there. And of course still using DuckDuckGo for search engine. Be good to hear others thoughts.
What’s everyone using for buying books? Everything seems to lead to Amazon, and chapters/indigo is a no go.
If I’m willing to be patient, they can get any book of interest.
My reading is mostly sci-fi, and I buy directly from Baen. I like the monthly bundles, if you buy the books while they’re still being written (in advance) then you can get 6 novels for $20 USD.
I like history so my books are constantly being written, or rewritten 🙂

Whenever possible I use Bitchute as alternative to Youtube.
For books it depends, some of the things I buy, I can only find on Amazon, those tend to be pretty rare and expensive and neither of the big retailers carry them, especially in dead tree format. Pulp I tend to buy as ebooks, although (guilty as charged, Kobo).

I use Brave and duckduckgo. Love it. I switched from google / bing primarily to get rid of the invasive ads. Hopefully that will stay that way. The censorships issue came later but I was already there. I am off Facebook and will never go back to google etc. I was on Parler but did not like it as it was too much Trump and not much of anything else.
I’ve been using Brave for months now. What I like most is the way the browser suppresses ads.

Cases/deaths go up and then naturally go down. Trying to stop a virus is futile. Most people will have a sufficiently strong immune system to fight the virus effectively. And most of all, kids should be exposed as a path to here immunity.
