  1. I have thought many people have been brain washed since I stopped watching the news in 2001. I noticed how the news affected my son. I do believe the assessment of this thread title is bang on. I also fear it’s going to get worse before it gets better. The sickening avalanche of msm “educated” viewers believing in a non reality, is well underway.

        The American Association for the Advancement of Science produces a number of journals. In a recent editorial, the editor-in-chief wrote that now that Trump is, apparently, on his way out, “real” science can resume again.

        The same EIC, Holden Thorpe, never disguised his hatred and contempt for Trump, nor did anyone who wrote a guest editorial. He was an evangelist for the cult of science and the doctrine that we should always listen to the “experts”, like, I dunno, Deena Hinshaw or Bonnie Henry, maybe…..

      In general, COVID-19 RT-PCR test results are more likely to skew false negative than false positive.

    Nobody seems to try to offer ANY explanation for how California’s case numbers have been utterly exploding despite implementing some of the harshest lockdown measures in the USA. Other than to say, “Well it would be SO MUCH WORSE if they weren’t locked down!!!”

I started watching Netflix for a short while until I realized none of their content could hold my interest. The thing just takes up space and collects dust. My printer just died so perhaps they might both go to the recycler soon.

  15. One of the problems with the NY numbers is that they are probably artificially high. NY Hospitals get more state money for a Covid-19 diagnosis, and administrators are not shy about fudging things to get more money.

    Also it stands to reason that NY is going to have higher numbers anyway, given the high proportion of the population that lives in NYC. That place is like a petri dish compared to Florida.

    Neither of which excuses the media for what they’re doing. I’ve completely stopped looking for Covid-19 information except in medical journals, because the disinformation campaign drowns out anything resembling a fact. The medical journals are bad too, but they have to include things like dosages and sample size along with their BS so it makes my sleuthing possible. When they flat-out lie, and they do, you can spot it.

    2. NY numbers are not high. In fact, they may well be low to cover up for the actions of Andrew (Josef Mengele) Cuomo and his death camp nursing home orders.

Not to mention that we have a model election system these days, after 2000, one designed by Republicans that doesn’t leave room for huge numbers of ballots to just show up from under tables.

    Maybe it’s all a spoiling attack on DeSantis because they are worried he might run for President.

    1. Depends on what statistic you are looking at. Too many people think that the timing of the pandemic is the same everywhere. It isn’t. Some are in the middle, some are near the end. What to watch for is the VELOCITY of the death rate. For example, in Florida, the 7 day moving average daily death rate is 112 (5.2 per million) and relatively flat while in California it is 352 (8.9 per million) and climbing sharply.

      Yeah, those lockdowns do a great job, don’t they?

The real culprit is DeBlasio, whose initial response was too lax, and his subsequent response was just bar shit crazy. What do you expect from a Communist who dances in the empty streets of Times Square on New Years while his seeds are forced to shelter in place.
