Germany had barely started its coronavirus vaccination campaign when a Social Democratic MP, Karl Lauterbach, warned that his compatriots need to brace themselves for yet another challenge: global warming.

“We need measures to deal with climate change that are similar to the restrictions on personal freedom [imposed] to combat the pandemic,” the professor of health economics and epidemiology at the University of Cologne wrote in a guest piece for Die Welt newspaper. He added that he hoped climate change issues would play “a dominant role” during the upcoming election campaign ahead of the federal ballot scheduled for September 2021.

  1. So, just stop the vaccinations and let the old die. It would cut down on CO2 emissions.

    2. Since we all exhale CO2, we need to reduce breathing. Perhaps a law that mandates men are allowed to breath in the mornings only and women can breath in the afternoons. Those who are gender-confused can stop breathing entirely.

      That makes as much sense as I have heard from any of our climate-concerned betters.

      The 21st century is shaping up to be the century the world went insane. The evidence is everywhere.

    1. It cannot be stressed enough that our masters are, with few exceptions, quite mad, and incurably so.

      Schizophrenics who hear demons order them to kill people can be treated with medication before they actually harm someone (or could before our masters, on the pretext that, because any reasonable definition of mental illness meant they were lunatics, mental illness could not exist, turned the lost souls loose).

      No medical treatment for psychopathy exists or is on the horizon. Managing the behaviour of psychopaths with a proper system of rewards and punishments is only feasible in a closed institution, where they can be trained to be well-behaved inmates. A society that cannot bring itself to rid themselves of their psychopaths must be prepared to imprison them for the rest of their days.

  4. A lot of people think everything is going to go back to normal once the vaccines are widely available. It is going to be a huge shock for millions when all the restrictions continue. You will see a big spike of suicides as people give up.

    1. The old normal is gone forever. I used to travel international at least once a month. Last flight was from Melbourne to YVR/YYC March 7th, the last of well over a thousand flights and millions of miles.

      I suspect that was my last flight ever. There will never be a needle in my arm, nor a “test” of any kind. The IATA already has their “vaccine” passport in place for Qantas and BA… AC and WJ will follow. I may be able to drive to the USA, maybe not, or all my global colleagues can come to Canada. Retirement, may come sooner than expected, but will NOT be in Canada!

      Climate, virus,.. it’s all the same fear to the uniformed or mentally lazy. Unless there is a significant, physical global push back in the next month this is the beginning of “normal”. In a few years time the 90% of the population may finally realize they’ve been “had” but by that time it is way too late… the water is boiling and you’re cooked.

    Then decertify the unions in the public service, sue the crap out of the tyrants that made these decisions, and then take their pensions away, make them poor and then ignore them, just like they did to a wide swath of the public.
    Recent study, 10,000,000 people, no evidence of asymptomatic transmission, not just rare, zero. That was the reason for masks, social distancing and lock downs.
    Fire them all, take away their possessions, let them have their own “Great Reset” in the privacy of their own tent under a bridge. This should never happen again, make them pay so another in a similar position to make those decisions in the future, would never consider what the people have been put through this year. Make it a death sentence.
    Otherwise this will continue indefinitely.

      Haul them off to prison, and keep them there under the 24/7 surveillance they had in mind for the rest of us.       When they are finally too mentally and physically exhausted to be worth what they cost to feed and house, then we can decide whether it’s more humane to turn them loose and let the Canadian winter claim them or simply put them down. Not like they’ll make good pets.

Contracting asthma from diesel truck exhaust? What could be more critical to the health of humans? Oh!? And it’s mostly chilllllll-dren ovvvvv culllller who are vulnerable to truck asthma … so we can call it Social-Justice … Eco-Justice … when we SHUT DOWN all truck traffic. Oh! Except Amazon Trucks. Because they are mostly small, white, non-diesel, rental trucks driven by Chinese immigrants on student visas that expired in 2015 … so Amazon is exempted from the banning of all truck traffic. Think of the chillllldren! Think of their HEALTH!!!

    I hate to be a a pessimist but I think at the end of 2020 we’re in a very bad place in Canada. We know that we are governed by fools and weak men. We also
    Know that the majority of our fellow citizens are fools and weak men. There are not enough of us left that are willing to fight for our freedoms.
    I truly thought that President Trump would be re-elected. However now I realize that even the mighty U.S.A. has fallen. Without it’s leadership, there is no light left in the free world. I pray that there’s still something that could happen that I’m not aware of but time is getting short .

    I think we’re at the end of an era. If anyone had any words of positivity, I’d be happy to listen but I can’t see where we go from here.

    1. I feel the same as you. I do have hope in U.S. The Americans I know are not going to roll over and die. The farmers in Sk I work with are just about at the end of there patience . But I am so disappointed in Canadians . How did our country get so messed up? How did Trudeau 1 get elected ? Then take the power from English Canada and give it to French Canada? Why did we let that happen ?

    Trudeau has megalomania, even if he can’t spell it. Yet I’m left wondering if he got it from Trudeaumania, or if it was the other way around. The way the eastern half of the country stumble over their selves with unbridled love of that manchild might have caused it, but I think the megalomania was inherited from his father. As was said above, Trudeau senior stole English Canada and gave it to French Canada. English Canada complacently let it happen and didn’t object.
