  1. Tell us about Charlie attacking the butler again. When she goes flush the Royalty an let adult men and women elect our own Head of State.

    1. It saddens me to say that I have to agree. I’ve been a loyal subject of Her Majesty, but I’m afraid that her successor is, frankly, a twit.

But we won’t have to worry about that, won’t we? We’ll soon be an official province of China and we’ll be swearing our allegiance to Winnie the Pooh.

      1. Why do we need a successor? The role of the monarchy is symbolic so why not keep the queen as monarch of record after she dies. Works for North Korea. (sarc)
Seriously, our form of government just needs a symbol so whether she is alive or dead is a minor consideration. Better a dead head of state than a brain dead head of state.
Look at the advantages – won’t say anything stupid, low maintenance costs, no irritating royal visits, no embarrassing family, no need to change the image on the currency and we will not need to pledge allegiance to Chuck the Stupid. that’s a win win.

  2. The hereditary and mildy retarded owner of the Canadian Plantation wants all Her obedient un-armed loyal Subjects ( house and field n-words) to rejoice in Her greatness and that of her Woke Court (Canadian Parliament), and rejoice in the New World Global Order!

  3. I always appreciated royalty’s symbolic role reminding the political party in power they do not own the country.
But that was western civilization (RIP), things have gone too far, too hell with them, to hell with Prince Charles and to hell with the political party in power.
If you don’t think there’s a war underway you don’t know what’s going on around you.

    1. If you don’t think there’s a war underway you don’t know what’s going on around you.

Even my relatives think this virus folderol is all about a rogue disease. War? What war?

          1. Well you obviously aren’t an “essential” worker … right? Sorry … I just like mocking the absurdity of the Brave New Viral World, where it’s no longer all about “flattening the viral curve” … now the goalposts have been moved to protect the “essential” workers … who are “disproportionately people of cullller”. Hint: illegal people of cullller work cheaper, because the Chamber of Commerce likes it that way.

            Happy Christmas OWG

  4. I like how the only family photo visible is of Prince Philip; the only member of the Royal Family to neither seriously let her down or prove to be a manifest imbecile…

How the House of Windsor has fallen…!!! They’d be better off with a Targaryen!!!

    1. Prince Philip has been known to make somewhat indiscreet remarks in public, providing the scandal rags with fodder. However, he appears to have kept his fly zipped and his hands to himself.

  5. Not a royalist but I want this Queen to live forever.

Charles must have hit every stupid branch falling down the money tree.

Of course it could be worse, instead of being a bunch of high handed pervs, they could be a high-handed RCMP bullying space cadet…er astronaut.

  6. Say what you will about the Queen as she has run a phenomenally tight ship for 69 years this coming February. Some of her offspring…not so much. That said however she herself has understood from the beginning that she serves the people and not her own interests. She is after all a constitutional monarch and as such has to navigate the petulant foibles of her revolving ministers, the public at large and yes her family. Charles is a blip on the royal radar and hopefully won’t remain long at the helm. William and Kate I like and hope their infectious enthusiasm and apparent common sense saves the crown.
I have always toyed with my belief that Americans to some degree miss having a monarchy and that may be why they continuously afford a larger than life celebratory status upon their sports figures, their actors, big money makers and musicians to name but a few.
Pageantry plays a role in the common man’s life in that it contributes a kind of hope that ‘there is in fact something to believe in’
A social stability in a feckless world…BUT only if those of privilege who have been given the call DO NOT abuse it.

I don’t believe the Queen has abused that privilege and the trust of the people to any degree.

She has in fact been most noble to her life’s calling.

    1. Beautifully expressed AC. And if I can add … I appreciate the Queen’s unwavering Faith and expression of her solidly Christian beliefs. Proving it is quite feasible and reasonable to acknowledge various foreign faiths and beliefs without trashing one’s own core belief system. It is abundantly apparent that the Queen has a deep and abiding belief in Christ her Savior. She has been a Rock solid Monarch for the English people as Saint Peter was the Rock of Christ’s Church.

  7. On September 13, 2001, Americans were gathered in front of Buckingham Palace, still in shock from the events of September 11, 2001. The band came out right on schedule to play. They played “The Star-Spangled Banner”, which Queen Elizabeth II had ordered them to play. There are tears in my eyes right now, and there is nothing that Queen Elizabeth II could ever do to make me think that she isn’t wonderful.

  8. Reading the history leading up to WW I there is little that could make me even a marginal supporter of the monarchy. The monarchy prostitute themselves thru their bloodline and are no different than those who use different props to prostitute themselves in Hollywood. The idea that these people have any serious role to play in society says more about the psychological makeup of their enthusiasts than anything else.

Canadians should have joined the American Revolution instead of kowtowing to a Euro monarch.

    1. “The idea that these people have any serious role to play in society says more about the psychological makeup of their enthusiasts”
For her entire life of service this queen has had a serious role to play and has brought honor and dignity to that role. By the way make sure you place me in the column with all those others who have a damaged ‘psychological makeup’; I’ll wear that crown.

  9. That lady, our Queen,is the God of daytime soap operas.
This show has been running longer, with better ratings than even Coronation Street, which was named in homage to Her Majesty.
Once she surrenders to the ravages of time,I doubt any of the lesser players can keep the show going.
Actors, actresses and the whatever’s are all so envious of Her Majesty,so jealous they cannot concede of her glory.
