  1. Oh my goodness! I need a couple of minutes to catch my breath…..and stop giggling like a silly teenager.
    Wow!! That was Awesome!!!!!

      1. ass usual, yah gots nothing , so you just make noise. So little boy, how is the R~4 coming along, are you out of hiding yet?

Just need to be ble to afford the tires

      1. “Thanks Subaru … for making more than just 4wd lesbomobiles.” ~ Kenji

“When in doubt go flat out” ~ Colin McRae 1995 WRC champion in a Subbaru

      2. They certainly have the Leftie crowd where I live in Ontario, Kenji.

Almost every time we pull up behind a Sub, it’s a white bearded prof with a Tilley hat or a purple and pink haired 50-60 year old woman.

Don’t tell anyone though, I would lust after one of these tire burners anytime.

        1. My better half flew into Denver yesterday, land of the Subaru. We always rent American but there wasn’t a GM, Ford or Jeep product to be had for miles. Since he’d gone to the front of about a 400 ft’ line (absolutely no exaggeration), 200′ outside and another 200′ inside wrapped around the interior like Easter at Disneyworld, he went ahead and took the import. He expected to be impressed, it’s a Forester, but said it’s an 11K mile rattletrap with obscure instrumentation and no torque.

    1. That’s right! He wasn’t wearing a mask, was he. I hope he doesn’t get that pandemicky thingy that we only know is a pandemic because the media and politicians keep telling us it is. I can’t help but think that a real pandemic would be more, well, obvious. You know, people actually dying from it as the primary reason, (not secondary to the age, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, etc.)…..young healthy people dropping like flies. That sort of thing.
Still, this was an excellent distraction from our terrible lockdown for the imaginary pandemic.

  3. If you enjoy this, the underrated Hyperdrive on Netflix is more of the same but with less slick production values.

  4. True story: I once was a passenger in Colin’s rally car speeding around an empty parking lot. What a thrill.

  5. One wonders how many Mere Citizens were murdered, raped, or robbed by illegal alien invaders while Maryland’s “finest” were supporting that…

  6. W.O.Wow! My hands are sweaty from watching that!

Back in 2012 I did some laps on a racetrack in Vegas in a Ferrari and Lamborghini. Have no idea what speed I got up to on the straight-away but it was nowhere that fast. I think I did a total of 20 laps in the two cars and was exhausted afterwards. Can’t imagine how tired Pastrana was after that.

    Thanks for sharing that, Kate!

    1. Watch NASCAR drivers exit their cars. Half the time their knees barely hold them upright. Even making thousands of left turns, the mental and physical strength needed to manhandle those beasts is tremendous.

  7. I adore Ken Block’s stuff, and this derivative was gripping. The motor reminds me of the first time I drove my Z06 to work. Must have hit the rev limiter a half dozen times. Am I too old for this car, I thought? Nah. Just never had driven a vehicle that built RPMs that quick. (Thanks, Kate!)
