And The Nation Will Bankrupt Itself

Gone, girl… The deputy minister also thanked a long list of finance department officials for their work. On the other hand, there is a conspicuous lack of acknowledgement of the work of any political staff or Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland.

  1. Even when Canadians have the facts. They ignore them and continue on as if nothing bad will happen to them. After all they have been told and do believe that they have free healthcare and are far superior to Americans. They can chant the Mantra of the Molson’s Beer Commercials perfectly, all puffed up with pride. “I AM CANADIAN” Yes you are and you have the brains of a day old donkey.
In 2014 under the gas bag Harper, Canada had a total public debt accumulated since PET of 4.1T dollars. Harper sold off the last of Canada’s Physical Gold Reserves. Beginning with PET and ending with Harper Canada’s 1000 Metric Tonnes of gold was sold off mostly at 250/oz. Chretien and Martin stole 54B from the workers of Canada’s UI Fund. All supposedly held in trust by Ottawa.
And still Canada voted for more. JUstin racked the debt as of this spring to another 1.2T dollars bringing the total to over 5 Trillion.
Ask yourself what comes next? Any guesses?
They won’t declare a banking holiday will they?
We are not like Germany were it will take a wheel barrow of Loonies to buy a loaf of bread will it?
Keep Chanting “I AM CANADIAN” on the Canadian Ship of Fools.

    1. Just watch as the Cro-Magnon Canadian furrows his heavy brow in vain when he discovers how little money he has to buy beer.

Canadians were told that this would happen and jumped in head-first anyway.

    2. Golly, a recap of what I have been saying for decades. Well, it cannot get any better as the the people are still the same. We won’t be like Germany with wheel barrows full of cash, it will be digital to infinity.

  2. Lucien Bouchard was right.
Canada isn’t a real country. Time to end the charade. Free the West. Free Quebec. F**k Ontario and the East Coast Welfare factories.

    1. We are watching the slow motion destruction of the Potemkin Village known as Canada. Invest in lead. Because you will need it. You can vote your way into socialism. But history tells us you always have to shoot your way out.

  3. Oh, what a non surprise.
Deputy Ministers’ job descriptions always have a “bus wheel tread” clause that is written in blood on stone.
    Next….

    1. Why not silver? Its easier for people of lesser means and a coin isn’t worth 4 figures so trade would be easier as well? Just my opinion and I do have silver coins.

  4. Who would want to be associated with the final demise of the Canadian economy by the Spawn / Butts / Friedland basic dictatorship (with the NDP on loan) when you could be collecting a gold plated pension as long as the BOC can monetize away all the remaining wealth of the nation and its serfs.

  5. “On the other hand, there is a conspicuous lack of acknowledgement of the work of any political staff or Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland.”

It’s standard protocol for retiring senior public servants, when penning a farewell message to non-political/bureaucratic staff, to avoid directly addressing colleagues on the political side of the job. The former being officially non-partisan, and all that.

  6. It sounds like the guy leaving wasn’t a bags-of-money kind of fellow. That just won’t do.

  7. “The letter does not detail why he is stepping down from Finance Canada’s top job.”

You couldn’t pay me enough money to work for Freeland. Even bribes of top quality booze wouldn’t suffice.

  8. Is there a trend here?

Didn’t the head of the Public Health Agency resign recently – without notice?

And Michael Wernick although he took the high jump over SNC. I think his sister went out the same way.

    Something is going on.

    1. People with half a brain and the finances to jump ship before the real bad crap happens.
      That would be my plan.
Not having to deal with frustrated and pissed people that are getting larger and larger.
