One week after the 2020 presidential election, The Conservative Treehouse received the following notification:
…”given the incompatibility between your site’s content and our terms, you need to find a new hosting provider and must migrate the site by Wednesday, December 2nd.”

      The Left does not own everything. No one has to read the NY Times, The Wash Post or watch CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC or ABC – screw them all.

    I’m surprised there haven’t been more lawsuits, breach of contract for these violations of free speech. Perhaps, yet to come. Or, a gigantic business opportunity for like minded individuals to serve the huge conservative marketplace that exists.

Under fascism, the “capitalists”, crony by this time, still own the means of production but conform to state dictats when required – otherwise there may be strikes and other disruptions to business.   7. I’ve looked through the terms of service at WordPress, section 4 at the link here:

    The only thing that stands out is nowhere does it mention in the terms of service, that thought that may be conservative is permitted.

    And like it is in some other countries, and on some topics here in Canada, certain topics are forbidden.

    It does mention this,
    “We do not endorse any Content or represent that Content is accurate, useful, or non-harmful. Content could be offensive, indecent, or objectionable; include technical inaccuracies, typographical mistakes, or other errors; or violate or infringe the privacy, publicity rights, intellectual property rights (see our Copyright Infringement and DMCA Policy section to submit copyright complaints), or other proprietary rights of third parties.”

    So clearly, WordPress is saying, “we don’t like you, and you can’t be here”.
    That is all.

    Good that CTH didn’t refuse to bake a cake for WordPress.
    It works both ways, I’m not advocating for deplatforming, but if they don’t like you, you’re off their island.

  9. WordPress can’t touch Kate. She uses the self hosted version and hosts the site on a server of her choosing. The Conservative Treehouse was using the hosting the WordPress is offering themselves. Self hosted is better anyway with a knowledgeable admin. Most of these tech sites are run by a bunch of leftists so this isn’t surprising.

  11. I will be taking down my own blog shortly. It was a very small travel blog and I can’t travel now anyway due to COVID. I doubt WordPress will even notice but I’ll be damned if I stand back and do nothing when my favourite blog is deplatformed.

Well the last year of events have proven the point. The rise of fascism in Germany in the 1930’s started out the same way. The same people that will threaten and intimidate, behind the standard of BLM and Antifa will be the same ones that escort you onto the cattle cars. Anyone who thinks this couldn’t happen in America today, suffer the same delusion that the Jews had in Germany. The past election proves it. The only difference in 1930’s Germany and 2020’s America is that today’s fascists are a little more refined and skilled. They control the media, they control the elections, they have shut down public political forums and now they are shutting down and controlling all communication media. Shortly they will control all movement. The corruption has already been grafted into the Tree of Liberty and it remains to be seen if there is a force strong and willing enough to prune the diseased branches before the tree dies.
