  1. Nice! my formative years for rock involved far too much AC/DC (thanks to the local reserve and the 1 hour bus trip to high school). In college I hit the eclectic sounds of alternative rock, west coast style. I lived in a frat… SAVE THIS HOUSE!

The video is OK, but I’ll never forget them playing the Halloween party at The Armories.

  2. Yeah, Just think of how many in that pre Covid audience missed seeing Neil Peart twirl his sticks. Rush reminds me of my youth in North Ontario, replete with reefers and two fours of Molson on the Canadian Shield at night with blackflies, muskeg, sweet friends and….whoa! Hold my beer, hoser….ow! Etc. And I refer to 1970s North Bay, on the lake, just up the highway from where Gordie Lightfoot hailed from…

      1. Kick Axe was the after-grad party band for Rutland Senior Secondary, June of 1981. I was there as an escort with a friend who was graduating that year. They were loud, they rocked the house, and they were loud. Did i mention they were loud?

  3. Its Friday and Angry Adolf is in private meetings today. Which means of course he is heading for his Harrington Lake resort.

  4. Covid-19 Tax Rises Considered, while the UK Squanders Billions on Renewable Energy

“instead of punishing ordinary people by raising £30 billion of new taxes, why doesn’t the British Government plug their budget shortfall by cutting £30 billion of useless expenditure, by cancelling all subsidies for renewable energy, the foreign aid guarantee, and other assorted big government boondoggles?”

  5. Whiny indians and drooling lawyers are celebrating that they can go ahead with their ten billion lawsuit against the federal government(taxpayers), regarding foster kids or something.

  6. Blacklock reports that internal emails show that our little dictator has used the China virus to stop access to information requests. We rate below Bulgaria in access to information.

    1. Thank you, Dear Leader, for saving us from prosperity…..

Clearly the money that we otherwise would have had should go into the pockets of you, your family, and your friends because it was under their divine brilliance that those riches came into being. Your efforts should not, must not ever go unrewarded.

    2. Juthtin is manic like a hyper retard with a toy he doesn’t want to let go of.
And as offensive as that sentence is, it probably doesn’t describe his state of mind adequately.

      1. What do you expect from someone who grew up in privilege and comfort, never had to work for anything in his entire life, and, worse yet, was never told “no” or otherwise punished for anything he did wrong? (“You can’t thpank me! I’m gwowing up in a bwoken home! Waaaah!”)

  7. My son used to be married to Alex Lifeson’s niece by his brother Eli. .Lifeson would phone them up on occasion when Rush was playing in Vancouver and they would cruise the town with him for the day.
She was a great gal…as nice as they come and her and I got along famously.
My son divorced her some years back which I’ll never figure as she was a treasure.
I never did meet Alex though.

    1. I saw Rush at the Kitchener auditorium in 1975. My ears were ringing for three days afterward! Still remember Neil’s drum solo which seemed to last forever. He was fricking awesome!

    2. That’s a kick ass Rush performance! But … what’s with the washing machines on stage? Other observations: Nice Paul Reed Smith. Biggest single drum kit ever put on a stage? Hell it took the Doobie Brothers 2-drummers to work that much equipment!

  8. Let me fix that headline:

“Germany has told China to stop threatening Europe as Merkel hardens her stance toward Beijing”
could read: “Merkel grows a pair when she learns Uighur Muslims are being harmed”

Meanwhile Prime Minister Sock Puppet is “disappointed” over China kidnapping two Michaels.

  9. Dementia Joe briefly came out of his basement for an incoherent speech right now. The media must be taking lessons from the Canadian media. The unbiased media worshipped Biden and trashed Trump in their questions.

  10. Toronto Sun letter and we wonder why muslims live in a society that only produces violence, misogyny and death. What is the saying that you know what group is in power or seeking it when you can’t criticize them.

“Charlie Hebdo is attacking decency in freedom of speech. It isn’t only us Muslims who feel this, even the Pope condemned these cartoons back in 2015. As Muslims, we hold the Holy Prophet Muhammad in the highest esteem, we hold him more important than our parents and even our own selves. Just as you wouldn’t insult a person’s dead parents, obviously because it’s wrong and indecent, imagine the pain we feel when Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is insulted?

Freedom of speech doesn’t mean everything can be said. Should cyberbullying also be excused even though it leads to young girls and boys taking their own lives because of videos and comments spread about them? Obviously, there should be a limit to free speech, since free speech that promotes hatred of religion, drives a teen to suicide or involves insulting a person’s honour or loved ones is not free speech at all. That is considered savagery. That is the only type of free speech Charlie Hebdo stands for.

And as an Ahmadi Muslim, I condemn unrestrained free speech with the strongest condemnation.
    Haseeb Ahmad
    Mississauga”

Sun response, (But the point of an editorial cartoon is to exaggerate reality. And how fragile is any one religion it cannot be criticized?)

    1. When the terrorist arm of the Moslem religion quits killing Christians and Jews and burning churches, we will consider your request! Until then , suck it up buttercup!

  12. True North reports on how Blackie’s CBC wants to help you choose the best sex toys. And a story on how CUPE has sent out an email that police are murdering black people, along with Nazis are running rampant in Canada.

Did TamiFlu say if a mask was required to use them?

    1. Hey B A D R!

Good piece by Keean Bexte. Kudos to the couple in the black truck who gave Rebel News the thumbs up.

This is all expensive virtue signaling. The new mural will feature the first black cowboy in Alberta. The Mayor is bound and determined to squander Calgarians’ money and at the same time pit one race against another. Shame on him. However the Chinese community is still suffering economically since the pandemic began. Perhaps this controversy will help bring back some lost restaurant business. The mural is scheduled to be finished by the end of the month. It should bring in some gawkers who need to stop for some dim sum or a meal.

Here is the piece about the mural by Global’s Gil Tucker featured on Thursday evening:

Most would prefer ugly building walls in a city to have trompe l’oeil artwork that blends in with the city landscape or a wall on a building decorated like the facade of the building. Here are some examples, ugly, crazy, beautiful or exquisitely done, existing around the world:

      https://www.boredpanda.com/before-after-street-art-boring-wall-transformation/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic

      Enjoy the view!

      1. The thing is that the local community doesn’t appear to have been consulted about the mural being located there. No doubt, any objections will be regarded as racist. (“Comrades! We bring you perfect people’s culture for your enlightenment and enjoyment!”)

We’re not far from that here in Edmonton. I’m sure it won’t take long for our Prinz Dummkopf lookalike mayor Dipsydoodle Donnie to mandate something like that.

        1. Yes, in this case it is obvious that the community was not consulted. But they know their right to free speech. Sometimes even the owners of the buildings don’t get asked, the artists just go ahead and do a mural, and the artists may even have copyrights afterwards. Imagine that!

With the Calgary Chinatown case the fact that the artwork is going on for 30 days indicates that they’ve had some sort of permission likely from the owners of the building and City who likely pays them. It’s probably cash from ‘the’ Charity.

I looked at photos of the outdoor art from that part of the city earlier and didn’t post them because I didn’t want to disparage others. I guess art is subjective.

The by-laws vary from city to city according to the piece below:
