  1. They enjoy rubbing our noses in it.
Some are actually amazed that the proles don’t understand that prole rules don’t apply to them.
Show more deference to your betters.
Interesting that the elite classes, their hangers on and aristocracy wouldn’t even attempt to get away with this in the UK, the home of class privilege…..only in the US it seems, where there was a revolution to get rid of such anointed privilege…..strange days indeed.

    1. Building them marble clad palaces perhaps send the wrong massage, after all they suppose to govern by the pleasure of the people not divide us in many minority groups and then buy their seat with empty promises and the taxpayers money.

      1. People have no idea of their history and what freedom means. A government that is to govern at the pleasure of the people have to be remined of that at times. As was said, the the blood of tyrants and patriots is required to water the tree of liberty when needed.

  2. The elites in the U.S. don’t have enough experience to understand the reasons for or practice of good social graces.

They are the nouveau aristocracy, too arrogant and too confident to see what is coming.

  3. And the Mayor of Washington gave them a quarantine pass when they got back there because they’re “essential”…

What a disgraceful bunch of hypocrites…

  4. May Wuhan flu send them all to join John Lewis, and soon.

The same pack of hypocrites cheered at the news of the death of Herman Cain, bidding the man they called Trump’s Uncle Tom burn in hell.

In the bosom of Abraham, Herman is looking down on John’s torments, and thanking God that at least in His realm men are judged by the content of their character and not their ability to lick the arseholes of bankers and communists.

  5. I had a memorial service scheduled in March for my son who passed away. Cancelled – COVID. Rescheduled it for the end of July. Cancelled – COVID … and daily lectures from Gavin Newsom. It’s now 8-mos. since my son’s passing … and nada. Can’t have a service. His ashes are still not inurned as we want it to be a family service.

Am I bitter that “peaceful” anti-Trump protests are allowed by Gavin Newsom … but my son’s service isn’t? No. Bitter is the wrong word. More like cold anger.

    1. Maybe it is time to simply have a family service. Nothing quite like civil disobedience and standing up for what is right.

  6. Kenji, my heartfelt condolences over your loss..
Old Bruin, Your family’s story unfolds little by little with each of your posts. I’m sure you realize by now, that it matters not where you are from, or the color of your skin. Conservatism is in the mind, and all like minded are welcome in it’s ranks.

Growing up in the UK, my parents were staunch Labor party adherents. Once I became old enough to begin to understand political things, around 12 or 13, I began asking questions of my parents. For a few years, I struggled to understand their reasoning’s about their political leanings and advocacy.
By the time I reached voting age, I had enough of a world view to make my own choices. Even though the Conservatives in the UK were considered by many the party of the elites, I realized that it was not, and that conservatism was a mindset about the affairs of the country and the greater world at large. I found the labor party to be narrow minded and petty. In Canada, they would be the NDP, and in the US they would be very left of center but not as far as Bernie.

‘I am proud to say that I eventually convinced my parents to re evaluate their voting preferences. Mostly they grew up within the left leaning groups, and simply voted left because that was what their family and peers did. Basically, they were voting mindlessly. I think that perhaps, they couldn’t really express their reasoning for voting left, and therefore could not convince me of the “values” of the left.

I have never once veered from my conservative path. I therefore think that rather than voting a certain way because that is the environment you were raised or educated in, it really is the way a person thinks and evaluates things from their world view or perspective. I therefore also tend to think that most lefties are in two camps. Those that vote mindlessly, and cannot be bothered to think for themselves politically, and those that from my perspective, are thinking for themselves, and are to a small or large degree, on some level of evil, and vote to gain for themselves rather than for the greater good. Although they would never truthfully admit to that.
