As two more women have come forward to corroborate part of Ms. Reade’s allegation, the Biden campaign is facing attacks from the right and increasing pressure from the left to address the issue. And liberal activists find themselves in a tense standoff with a candidate they want to support but who they say has made little attempt to show leadership on an issue that resonates deeply with their party’s base.

Biden will be gone before the convention. The question is, who will replace him. If Michelle Obama steps up to the plate, I expect it’ll be a very tight race in November.
By the summer there’ll be so many fingers pointing at Barack Obama over the Michael Flynn case that it’ll make it impossible for Michelle Obama to run. Plus why her? What’s the appeal? You think she has ‘game’ to be President? You think her skin is thick enough? When has she EVER been in an unfriendly press environment? I think her (and her husbands) life is pretty sweet right now. Why would she/they want that to change?
It will be Michelle. Of course it will be Michelle. She has been on a publicity tour for months. She is telling everyone she is there for them. The media are covering her as if she is some new mother theresa, but lightly and only in the background. Keeping her in the public mind, but not as a democrat, just as a really, really compassionate person.
They (the dems) will trash the economy, they will extend lockdowns, they will cause a food crisis, they will show all the current nominees to be not up to the job, not caring enough. The people will clamour for someone else, but who, who can step in this late moment (late july timeframe) who has the experience, charisma, compassion.

Yup. she will be the dem candidate. Trump better get his act together. If he wants to beat the first female black president he need to dump pence (sorry dude, wrong sex and colour) and get someone like Candace Owens on board.
I agree that Candace would make a great choice but the dems would pounce on Trump as usual. Biden will be a bad memory by November, I predict Cuomo and Oprah will be parachuted in if there is a convention. Moochelle is even more hated than Barry by most Americans.
This was the plan all along, defeat Bernie, plant Biden knowing he was doomed and parachute in a preferred candidate citing some obscure rule allowing them to do so (or recently added rule). What they forget is Bernie’s army won’t sit still for this.

You’re right, they won’t. Donald Trump owned part of or all the Miss Universe pageants, including Miss USA and Miss Teen USA.
He will remind ‘Bernie’s Army’ that it is ‘common law’ that if the winning candidate implodes, that they be replaced with the Runner Up.
It should be remembered that the race to choose the Democratic Candidate for President started with a field of 20 runners.

These days Cuomo cannot open his mouth without wall to wall live coverage from every media outlet. I have never seen some Governor get so much prime time. Perhaps he is their preferred candidate.
I put no money on Moochelle, although she(?) would have a lock on the trans vote. As far as the Bernie Bros go, they would prefer someone really obnoxious, loud and black. A radical ideologue like unhinged Stacy Abrahams.

Perhaps Biden is trying to memorize Trudeau’s lines. Biden’s staff are probably getting frustrated at Biden’s inability to memorize a few lines.

And if Biden says he doesn’t remember anything like that happening. Republicans will have a field day with he doesn’t remember… cause he’s senile.

Don’t you think this was the plan all along? Biden was a place holder so that a ‘white knight’ could ride in at the last minute to carry the day. Minimal time for the GOP to build a defense. The VP choice could be critical. The Dems are desperate. Joe cannot stand up to Trump.

This is troubling news. Biden, as a candidate, is a train wreck. His handlers know it and are keeping him under wraps. It’s been widely speculated for some time now that he would be replaced at the convention, but since finally getting endorsed by all the Democrat stars, chances of him being the candidate vastly improved.
But now with the sexual misconduct allegations piling up on top of his obvious dementia, it once more becomes very likely he’ll be replaced. And it doesn’t matter who replaces him, whoever it is will be a much better candidate. The sexual revelations are coming too soon. Better they should pile on later when it’s too late to replace him.
