Personal comments — I not so certain it was projection models that persuaded Donald Trump to suddenly ban flights from Europe in mid-March.

The EU condemned the measures, which it said were taken “unilaterally and without consultation”.
 
The new rules go into effect on Friday at midnight EDT (0400 GMT) and mark a major escalation from the US president, who has been accused of inaction over the coronavirus.

I think it may have been information gathering by intelligence services that pushed the red button. Epidemiologists (unbeknownst to them) provided the cover.

  6. I love Steve Bannon but honestly who gives a flying F*** about the Chinese people who would never ever lift a finger to help anyone but themselves.

    1. In today’s Nation Post, John Ivason expresses much admiration for China who is presumably sending supplies to 100 countries or so. He is also admiring of the generous Trudeau government donation of $159 in aid to poorer countries to fight the virus. This is basically a dump on Trump article because Trump apparently is not donating in the same way, tried to get exclusive access to a German vaccine (true???) and pirated a shipment of masks going to Germany. Plus Trudeau is handling things wonderfully at home. My husband swallowed all of this. I do not have enough info to respond. The main complaint is Trump abdicating international responsibility. Thoughts?.

      4. I got my answer. The Ivason piece includes several misleading claims. He is using rumours to build his case against Trump. He also totally ignores the 1.2 billion Trump signed into law to combat Covid 19 internationally. Misleading articles in the main stream press simply add to the anger and confusion.

  10. Sadly I believe this will be buried as SNC was. Liberals lie, people die. The globalists, Tony Blair, Merkel, Trudeau, Soros, Cameron, Obama, Pelosi will just carry on. The people that will solve this like our medical groups around the free world, Israel, US etc. will be given a quick “attaboy” then ignored until the next crisis from China.   11. There was never a ban on flights from Europe. The ban is a TRAVEL BAN. Non-Americans that have been to those European countries in the past 14 days are not allowed to enter. That’s it. Same with China.

    So any non-citizen that has been to those areas, could go to a different country for 14 days, then be allowed in. Much much less strict than Canada. We aren’t allowing any non-citizens in.

    1. Do investigate the differences between the US travel restrictions and Canada. For example, here’s a small list of US exemptions if you traveled to the schengen region in the past 14 days (the European travel ban):

      “(a) Section 1 of this proclamation shall not apply to:
      (i) any lawful permanent resident of the United States;
      (ii) any alien who is the spouse of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident;
      (iii) any alien who is the parent or legal guardian of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, provided that the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident is unmarried and under the age of 21;
      (iv) any alien who is the sibling of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, provided that both are unmarried and under the age of 21;
      (v) any alien who is the child, foster child, or ward of a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, or who is a prospective adoptee seeking to enter the United States pursuant to the IR-4 or IH-4 visa classifications;
      (vi) any alien traveling at the invitation of the United States Government for a purpose related to containment or mitigation of the virus;
      (vii) any alien traveling as a nonimmigrant pursuant to a C-1, D, or C-1/D nonimmigrant visa as a crewmember or any alien otherwise traveling to the United States as air or sea crew;
      (viii) any alien
      (A) seeking entry into or transiting the United States pursuant to one of the following visas: A-1, A-2, C-2, C-3 (as a foreign government official or immediate family member of an official), E-1 (as an employee of TECRO or TECO or the employee’s immediate family members), G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, NATO-1 through NATO-4, or NATO-6 (or seeking to enter as a nonimmigrant in one of those NATO categories); or
      (B) whose travel falls within the scope of section 11 of the United Nations Headquarters Agreement;
      (ix) any alien whose entry would not pose a significant risk of introducing, transmitting, or spreading the virus, as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services, through the CDC Director or his designee;
      (x) any alien whose entry would further important United States law enforcement objectives, as determined by the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or their respective designees, based on a recommendation of the Attorney General or his designee;
      (xi) any alien whose entry would be in the national interest, as determined by the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or their designees; or
      (xii) members of the U.S. Armed Forces and spouses and children of members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
      (b) Nothing in this proclamation shall be construed to affect any individual’s eligibility for asylum, withholding of removal, or protection under the regulations issued pursuant to the legislation implementing the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, consistent with the laws and regulations of the United States”

Reality is if they can find an antidote to a fast moving virus like covid 19 , they posses in their mind the perfect weapon for world domination !
    Covid 19 got out by accident and the doctors in charge died or were killed!
