Host Anderson Cooper looked bored to death and had to keep titling his head back and forth to keep from falling asleep.         Migrants detained at the Laval Immigration Detention Centre have launched an indefinite hunger strike to demand their release in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

        Around 30 men are currently being held on the men’s side of the detention centre. The ten hunger-strikers are refusing all meals, despite pressure from the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to desist. Over at the CBC news network, the UNIFOR people there have now fully censored any mention of the closure of Service Canada outlets, making things difficult for newly unemployed, and without computers, to register for benefits. And for people with computers, many do not know the complexities of signing on.
