  1. RIP Elmore Rual Rip Torn Jr

The nickname, “Rip” is a family tradition in the Torn Family. He was everywhere. In the movies, the theatre and television… he was hilarious and serious, he was always “that Guy”.

  2. We are beating the USA one street at a time!

Toronto Raptors forward Danny Green received a crash course on East Vancouver during a visit last week. Green was staying at a hotel, but some of his acquaintances had booked an Airbnb a couple blocks off East Hastings Street. After touring the Airbnb rental for about 10 minutes, Green said they walked back out to find their car had been broken into. The group tried to look around the neighbourhood in an attempt to recover the bags and ended up on East Hastings.

“We walk up on it, this thing is the worst street in North America in terms of (drug use),” Green said.

Green being a professional basketball player travelling all the time he has seen a lot of sketchy parts of a city(maybe through a limo window). But East Hastings beats them all. We are number one!!

  3. Took the kids to see the new Spiderman movie; pretty good job of bringing the old Mysterio character back; anyway the one line that got the biggest laugh was when they were talking about the news and a character said something like “…and you know the news always tells the truth about things.” This brought a huge laugh from the crowd; I mean it sounded like everyone exploded with laughter.

An article from the Toronto Red Star – from: Frank Graves is the president of Ottawa-based EKOS Research Associates and an honorary fellow of the University of Calgary’s School of Public Policy. Michael Valpy is a senior fellow of Massey College and a senior fellow in public policy at University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.

“The Conservatives, the party of the financially secure and contented under Stephen Harper, have become the party of the pessimistic and financially insecure under Andrew Scheer.
They’ve become the party mistrustful of the media, science, experts and climate change, preferring to base decisions more on moral certainty than reason. They become a party tending those who favour nativism — who support the interests of native inhabitants being promoted against those of immigrants.”

Its a very aggressive attack on large and small C conservatives as well as Max. Any argument you make to counter and they’ll just call you a racist, or uneducated, or paranoid, etc. Of course they’d call you that anyway because you’re not of the special Gang Green, wonderful NDP or a beautiful Liberal.
I would add its probably the best fear-mongering article/attack on conservatism I’ve read in a while and certainly pissed me off to start the day.

    1. Paradise and contentment is just one more totalitarian socialist government away, just one more try should fix everything.

    2. It’s the usual “if you disagree with a liberal it’s because you’re a racist” line of attack. Unfortunately at least for me, being called a racist is like being called a poo poo head. I know you are but what am I?

    3. I keep seeing references to the notion that conservatives are not listening to “experts”, including the media. Coyne made this claim the other day. Climate change is the usual reference used to verify this. I guess they are not aware that there are in fact experts on both sides of the issue. Many conservatives have made a point of looking at expert opinion on both sides of the issue and found the alarmist side wanting. Leftists sometimes mindlessly just accept the propaganda from the media. Now distrust of the media is often based on regularly encountering verifiable attempts to spin, including ignoring important stories and important facts. A bit of self-reflection by media types could help address the current cynicism. Reporting has become superficial and self-serving. The only “danger” is that journalists are losing status and influence. They are no longer gatekeepers in setting the public agenda.

    4. “Gang Green”….poifect!
Conservatives seek the truth and tend to do their own research, as opposed to many on the left who listen to, read and watch CBC religiously. The left sings from the same song sheet.

  5. Oh Oh! This got past the UNIFOR censors. The Globe and Mail website reports that when Groper was in Quebec the other day at taxpayer expense, he took time to support his new Liberal candidate in Montreal. The candidate used to work for Greenpeace and is an active campaigner against pipelines, including the Alberta pipeline to the West Coast. Nice picture of them holding hands in front of the crowd.

    1. And here is another Canadians are racist story. A man in Montreal is taking the Boy Scouts to court because their songbook is racist.

  7. Ontario teachers unions have been spending a fortune on anti-Fords ads lately. Today the CBC reports that the Ontario teachers pension fund has invested millions in a private prison company in the States, that operates detention centers for migrant adults and children. I wonder if they can find a way to blame Doug Ford.

    1. I do live in Ottawa and since the company jumped through hoops and did everything needed to get their project approved, I think giving them the go ahead was the right thing to do. It’s not like they are ripping down the original building. It will still be there and people will get used to the addition,

  12. Our corrupt “mainstream media” played a HUGE role in covering up for billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein

How is it possible that a jet-setting billionaire who happens to be a serial pedophile get away with it for so long without more Americans knowing about it?

Two reasons: Power, and a complicit media.

Most people aren’t aware of this, but Jeffrey Epstein, who was arrested over the weekend and charged with several counts of sex trafficking of underage minor girls between 2002 and 2005, has already been convicted — sort of — for doing the same thing.

  13. In case you need something to read this summer while sitting in a lounge chair at the lake or in your backyard.

Ethnocide? I had never heard that word before. It does not sound good. And they disguise it by calling it “Multiculturalism”.

“Canada in Decay: Mass Immigration, Diversity, and the Ethnocide of Euro-Canadians”, by Dr. Ricardo Duchesne. Dr. Duchesne is a professor at the University of New Brunswick. David Murrell might know him.

“Canada In Decay is the first scholarly book questioning the undemocratic policy of mass immigration and racial diversification in Canada. The entire Canadian political establishment, the mainstream media and the academics, are all in harmonious unison with the banks and corporations, in promoting two myths to justify mass immigration. The first myth this book demolishes is the claim that immigration into Canada “enriches the country”, by demonstrating that mass immigration is not only leading to Euro-Canadians becoming a small minority in their own homeland, but because of the disparity in the birth-rate, the Euro-Canadian population is likely to become almost extinct.”

    1. Of course they harassed that guy to death at the university. I guess some students did not feel “safe”. I think he is no longer at the university, but he is very smart and worth reading.

    2. I have no problem with the race of immigrants. Back in the 1970s I knew a crapload of coloured immigrants and they were all smarter and better behaved than me. They went through a rigorous selection process. Now the preferred immigrant is an illiterate buffoon from shithole countries who are allowed in to drive down the wages of the poorest people in our society. Requiring a post-secondary education and knowledge of English or French would be a great start.

    1. Send Turdeau to The Hague for trial. He confessed. Send him to jail for life. As I’ve said elsewhere – in jail, every day could be gay pride day for him.

      1. Scar, I’d rather see that perverted POS ending up like Nicolae Ceaucescu….hanging from a meathook on an Ottawa Lampost.

THAT would be justice served….him and his whole Disguting Cabinet / Caucus. All 176 of them. TRAITORS to this country and its CITIZENS.

    2. The use of the genocide word has consequences.. The French surrender monkey (TURDO) has admitted that all of Canada is guilty… The only solution is to sue those who make these false accusations & those that support them by way of a Criminal hate crime & Civil damages…Turdo started this false process by appointing a Metis (Jody) as AG and allowing her to direct all Government Lawyers in their defense of Indian legal Claims… “Do not question the validity of tribal testimony” ( said to be handed down verbally by a non-civilized society (civilized = organized/structured)….

Somebody has to push back on this co-ordinated corruption, or Turdo will succeed in destroying Canada.. It should be the # 1 (one) issue for Canadians.. Words have legal meaning and all Canadians are innocent until proven guilty… Social media has no place in constitutional law….

      JMHO

      1. BTW: I have a bone in this issue, my deceased brother (Jason) worked in the Northern Communities of Saskatchewan (Conservation Officer) & worked as a Department of Indian Affairs coordinator of the Indian SELF Government program (PM PET) with the Indian Chiefs of Saskatchewan… He was not practicing genocide

I have a friend (Bill) who was the superintendent of Indian affairs for NW Ontario / Manitoba/ Sask and he has records of the Treaty meetings with the tribal chiefs during the Indian School period… He was not practicing genocide…. The fake tribunal’s did not take testimony from those that had first hand knowledge and records..

  16. Pipelines:

Allowing our Oil and Gas Industry to Grow

    Issue

Under the influence of radical environmental activists and American left-wing foundations, the Trudeau government has done everything it can to stifle the growth of Canada’s oil industry by preventing it from transporting and selling its products.

With Bill C-48, the Liberals imposed a ban on oil tanker traffic on the north coast of British Columbia, which brought the cancellation of the Northern Gateway and Eagle Spirit pipeline projects. After years of legal uncertainty, investors pulled out of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project and sold it to the federal government for $4.5 billion. It is still uncertain when it will be completed.

Unrealistic environmental requirements from the National Energy Board also killed the Energy East pipeline. Finally, Bill C-69 makes the process of building pipelines and other major energy projects so complex and difficult that it could prevent any new investment. Among other things, that bill requires projects to be analyzed based on “the intersection of sex and gender with other identity factors.”

Because of these constraints, capital investments in the oil and gas industry have collapsed, from $81 billion in 2014 to $37 billion in 2019. Our overdependence on the American market for exports also costs the Canadians economy billions of dollars in foregone revenues every year. Alberta’s economy has suffered a major setback, with tens of thousands of jobs disappearing in the oil patch and many more in local communities that depend on this industry.

  17. While the premiers were in Saskatoon looking at unified ways to help Canada’s economy, little Justin was at the teacher’s conference trashing the premier of Ontario. He called Ford’s cuts to education “frightening”. First, the education budget is actually going up you little turd. And Ford’s so called cuts are not frightening, it was Wynne’s Liberals putting the province into so much debt that is frightening. Trudeau is a divisive disgusting little boy.

  18. During the shutdown Wall Street gave swamp dwellers payment holidays on their boat loans.

Now, during a trade war with China, Wall Street is giving US farmers notice of their credit lines being cut and of foreclosures on their farms—to be sold, once Trump is out of the way, to Chinese investors for pennies on the dollar.

Show me who controls a country’s money supply, and I’ll show you who makes the laws.

  19. Now that Groper is finished trashing Doug Ford at the teacher’s conference, he will be burning jet fuel at taxpayer expense to Redmonton Alberta tomorrow. He will be talking to workers at the Trans Mountain site. Nothing to do with the election of course. Maybe he can explain to workers why he has a new candidate in Montreal that worked for Greenpeace and hates pipelines. And women, the media, and girly boys are excited that Justin will be in an episode of the Corner Gas animated series. He is so cool and wonderful. Everybody loves little Justin.
