Cognizant received a two-year, $200 million contract from Facebook to do the work, according to a former employee familiar with the matter. But in return for policing the boundaries of free expression on one of the internet’s largest platforms, individual contractors in North America make as little as $28,800 a year. They receive two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch each day, along with nine minutes per day of “wellness” time that they can use when they feel overwhelmed by the emotional toll of the job. After regular exposure to graphic violence and child exploitation, many workers are subsequently diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and related conditions.
Yet they still manage to summon the strength to censor white bread conservative content. Where’s my violin?
It’s humorous that the huge companies seeking to take the world into some new, “equality-filled” brave new world are exactly the ones keeping the non-elite employees down and poverty-stricken.
And, by their own admission, they do a far better job of removing the conservative content than the Jew-hate, the child porn and the videos of Muslim brats (go on, admit it) torturing puppies for fun because they’re too young to rape anyone. That stuff gets copied faster than they can delete it.
The only speech globalists tolerate is whatever confirms their prejudices or gives them erections. The screams of agony of the innocent get them hard as rock. The truth? Not so much.

I wish the Jews controlled the world, I really do. A world ruled by men who feared the God of Israel, kept His commandments and expected others to do likewise would be a far freer, more prosperous and saner world than the one we live in now, ruled by men with no gods but money, power and their own genitals.

Well, if they don’t like it, jobs at places like Costco certainly don’t pay as well but the working conditions and management attitude are far, far superior.
If one wants to know what an organization is like to work for, all that one needs to do is check out the personality and attitude of its owner / president / CEO.

If your job puts such an emotional toll on you that your very health is jeopardized … then … Quit! You are obviously NOT suited for the work. As for myself? I couldn’t give a husky f*ckk about someone’s “offensive” post. So some dimwit posts racist crap … so what? Deplatform them and move on. Note: I don’t “believe” in Fackebook’s censorship, and this entire operation should be shut down. Or at least trimmed-down to remove only horrific things like child porn and live streamed suicides.
This entire story and narrative is a PR operation. PR to accomplish a couple of things: 1. Convince a gullible public that Fackebook is overwhelmed with horrific (right wing) content. Ohhhhhh mammmma … it’s sooooo baaaad that the content policia are getting upset and ill. And, 2. Fackebook doesn’t need government intervention, because they are already spending huge sums of money, and personal sacrifice to “sanitize” their website. This story is garbage. However, I don’t doubt there are some snowflakey employees who are trying to extort $$$ out of their employer.
The closest the article came to admitting their real job was to remove conservative content (tremoving the gore and child porn was a fool’s errand—the ones who tried very hard were the ones who went mad) was noting that many of the vendors wound up adopting “fringe” beliefs after constant exposure to “conspiracy theories.”
In other words, their jobs forced them to actually listen to what conservatives had to say. And they slowly realized it made sense.
So some good has come of this anyway.

Whoa…wait up a second. $28,800 a year. 261 work days per year. Let’s say it’s a standard 8 hour work day. Aren’t these economically illiterate idiots paying attention to their own platform. My math puts their hourly wage at a little over $13 per hour. I believe the conventional “wisdom” of the Democrat party is that it should not be below $15 per hour. What gives?
For a quick calculation, a normal work year in the western world is close enough to 2000 hours that you can use it to calculate someones hourly or yearly wages.
Supply and demand.
There is a huge supply of SJW fascists ready and willing to deplatform conservatives for pennies per hour.
They’re just part of the leftist open borders and low wages gambit. Yet they still think they’re SJWs, not the hypocrites they be.
Laughable, they ditched the poor long ago, right after their policies and corruption created a permanent economic underclass.
The effort continues to this day. No wonder they want to censor thoughtfulness, lest they be outed for what they are.

There was a lengthy but interesting article about the traumas of facebook reviewers earlier thus year. I wrote to the author suggesting that, instead of hiring newly minted graduates largely innocent of life, facebook should perhaps hire retired or former Police, military or other emergency services personnel, of which there are a goodly number. Unless they’re already suffering from serious mental or physical ailments themselves, such highly trained people will be somewhat inured to what they experience online. They’re also used to working extremely hard for a pittance.
Of course, the downside for facebook would be that they will also not easily suffer poor working conditions or mistreatment, or remain silent about it…
It also makes me even more happy that I’ll never use facebook, twitter, or anything else like that. No-one with my background ever would…
The solution is obvious. Use artificial intelligence to replace these workers. Vastly cheaper and faster. You would still have some human moderators which the AI algorithm would learn from, but the priority for these few moderators would be quality, not quantity.
Course the cure might be worse than the disease.
