      1. There’s no question that this “processed meats” ban is stupid virtue signalling. But you’ll still be able to get a dog with all the fixins’ at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field. According to the story the ban applies to city owned facilities, schools, prisons, hospitals. The two ball parks are privately owned. As are nearly all of the thousands of restaurants and grocery stores in NYC. I suppose they could apply their stupid ban to you if your establishment was located in a city owned building. Maybe drive your hot dog cart out of business.
        In the end their virtue signalling will only piss off people who attend schools, prisons, hospitals.
        If memory serves, aren’t there more than a few descendants of European immigrants living in NYC? I’m sure if the City were somehow able to implement a total ban they would hear rather loudly from the makers and consumers of spicy pepperoni, salami, bratwurst and many other flavors of sausage.

  6. The clowns at Vancouver City hall decided to let the 4/20 protestga illegally proceed without insurance, ignoring smoking in a non=smoking city park and without a permit.
    What that says to me is that its OK for me and everyone else to ignore city ordanances like watering restrictions, smoking in a public place, etc.
    Trump was right, Vancouver is turning into a shit-hole. Well, he didn’t really say that but it is getting that way. The only good thing is gas is now $1.78/L. BTW, I buy gas and diesel in the states.

    What gende do you identify with (or something like that and of course the list included the obligatory ‘LGBTQ’ as well as ‘2’. Fortunately there was the ‘Other” as well where you could specify.

  11. Wouldn’t it make more sense to simply stop offering any food at all in public institutions? If the climate can be helped *some* by getting rid of hot dogs, it can surely benefit from the elimination of hot soup, banning the energy-wasteful baked potato, and serving all vegetables cold and raw,

    I can only imagine the crowds of picketers that will begin showing up at sporting events, with signs proclaiming “Your dog and beer are killing me!”

    Has anyone thought to do a study on the comparative production of methane between a traditional (meat included) and a vegetarian or vegan diet?
