Diversity Is His Strength

Har.

“It is vital that we give all Canadians, regardless of gender, the opportunity to fulfill the important function of falling on the grenade to protect me from allegations of corruption and pay to play,” said Trudeau.

“Because it’s 2019” he added.”

  1. If Scott Brison had not gone to the corner store to buy headache pills, then none of this would have happened, final answer.

  2. No, I didn’t steal the cookies, said Justin, they just somehow levitated out of the cookie jar and ended up in my motionless hands. And by motionless, I mean pushing aside some MP who was in my way, but that contact was involuntary and in no way represented my deeply ingrained Canadian values. I want to finish by repeating that we will always act to preserve … why are people laughing? I’m Justin Trudeau. You can’t laugh at me. Can they? Gerry? Where’s Gerry?

  3. Bananas, yes we have tons of bananas in the Canadian banana republic/democracy. What a freaking joke. There is nothing that can exist in rational conversation to discuss this idiocy.

    1. Real men don’t throw friends and colleagues under the bus. You could say he’s ruthless when it comes to political gain. You could say he’s virulently anti-Canadian for putting K-Bec’s gain above the post nation’s health. Or you could say he’s a coward for not admitting to obstruction of justice or a feminist poseur for letting “insiders” slander JWR for days before issuing a statement of opposition.
If JWR speaks today and shuts it all down then you could say he’s won.

    2. Maybe, except that genuine chutzpah still requires some amount of character, whereas Junior seems to be merely clueless, utterly lacking in adult-level social skills, and cognitively damaged. It’s almost like he spent nine months marinating in a THD-rich environment, and subsequently raised by wolves.

      Nice hair, though…

  4. Scott Brison started this whole affair, Trudeau has already said so. If he hadn’t left there would have been no shuffle and Jody Wilson Raybould would not have been demoted and his long time buddy and pal Butts would not have had to jump ship. Methinks there’s a bit more shuffling to do to shuffle their Butts out of this one.

Who was the mastermind behind all this?

  5. Milo Barutciski, lawyer with Borden Ladner Gervais
Kenneth Jull, lawyer with Gardiner Roberts LLP
    Judge Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond
Craig Forcese, law professor at the University of Ottawa
Adam Dodek, dean and law professor at the University of Ottawa
Nathalie Drouin, deputy minister of justice, deputy attorney general
Michael Wernick, Clerk of Privy Council

These are the tools, beside JWR, who are being called today. I don’t know what any of them are going to say but JWR was very proud of being a Liberal yesterday.

    1. Yes, JWR no longer needs our sympathy. Makes you wonder exactly what’s next for her. Wonder if the Butt’s resignation had anything to do with her show of loyalty? Suspicion abounds.

  6. The fix is now in. On Tuesday, JWR appears at a cabinet meeting, after she quit cabinet, and the Liberal-dominated House Committee suddenly allows JWR to “testify” in open hearings. I am now watching the biased CBC News Morning show, and here Heather Hiscox and reporter Janice MacGregor are exchanging catty remarks and smiles, happily enjoying reporting the clever Liberal machinations of yesterday, and how the Liberals outmanoevered the opposition parties.

Meanwhile, the Globe and Mail reports this morning that the Liberals flat out lied, in the time line concerning Justin Trudesu’s meeting with JWR (see the post on another SDA thread of today). Essentially the Globe says that Justin Trudeau met with JWR AFTER the prosecution office decided to bring charges against SNC Lavalin. Today’s Globe report is a smoking gun that says that Justin Trudeau himself tried to obstruct justice. Neeedless to say, this remarkable revelation was not discussed by Hiscox or MacGregor. Move along, move along, there’s nothing to see here folks. After all, the fix is in.

  7. So, 9,000 Province of Quebec jobs at SNC trump the Laws of Canada. All for LPOC votes. And that’s just in the province of Quebec. I don’t believe for a minute that T-2 was the mastermind of this. His string is pulled from the shadows.

As for Gerry Butts, he was vulnerable as a government operative in the legal sense, so off to civil purgatory where he is better defended should things come to a head. He still has a phone and a pen, right into the PMO. Doesn’t have to even dress up now. Works from home.

  8. Gee, if only there had been evidence of turdo’s stupidity, arrogance, duplicity, and hypocrisy prior to the election, eh? (eye roll)

It would be such a service to Canada if the whole stinking *&^%$#g bunch died off from back-stabbing or incest.

  9. The SNC mess has been bubbling for years. If the engineering association that grants licence in Quebec just pulled the permit to practice, JWR and T2 would not matter. So it goes after construction corruption commission and this bizness, Lyin Brian, drapeau and 76 olympics there’s really just nothing there. A big fat juicy nothingburger, not even the SJWs can get upset.
