“We are also guaranteeing an investment of $1 billion for mining, mostly in gold.”
Damned smooth move by Putin. Soon he’ll have Venezuela by the balls, will install a “friendly” government that knows how to do socialism right. Maduro would have been better off signing a deal with organized crime than Vlad the Impaler.
In the Good Old Days, enemies of the USSR used to frequently have “heart attacks” when they became inconvenient, Maduro should get to know some of Russia’s top cardiologists.
It is a sad commentary on the human condition, that no matter how many times we repeat the failed communist/socialist/welfare state experiment there are always those that march to the ballot box in the hopes of getting their free lunch without paying the piper.
