I can’t fault these people for wanting what is essentially the American Dream – but I do fault them for expecting to find it by expecting another country to provide that dream or else. Nobody develops thoughtful minds, caring hearts and strong courage without paying their dues and developing those character traits within. Charity won’t fix the reasons for the caravans. Changing the corrupt useless governments of the countries these people are trying to escape from will. If these people want the American Dream then they should fight to transplant and grow it where they already live.

Aren’t there about 6 billion people living in economically marginal circumstances on the planet? Maybe they can all come to North America, especially underpopulated Canada? Why not? Who’s going to decide who can come and who can’t? Why Central Americans and not others? What about all the environmentally sensitive areas? Yeah, you remember zero population growth and all, as well as the the environmental tipping point, am I right? An ecosystem cam be so overwhelmed that it can never recover; remember that.

Why would they speculate as to the composition of the invaders, in such a “implied compassionate” manner. Of course you know the reason. I have been watching LOTS of video of the Honduran Mob moving through Mexico, and I have seen scant images of “immigrant families traveling with children”. What MY EYES have seen is a Mob consisting of 95%+ young males of military age. I would like to see a slow-flying drone video of the entire mob, and then count the total number of women and children. Then NBC can report the FACTS, instead of their political sentiment.
This group of men ‘looks’ like an invading military unit. It should be dealt with as such.
The thing I don’t understand is why illegal immigrants aren’t locked up while their kids are returned to Mexican Social Services. You can bet the parents would be abandoning refugee claims to go back to Mexico.
Here is a proportional response.
1. Cut off all international aid to whatever $hithole helps those invaders, Mexico, Guatemala, el Salvador, does not matter a $hithole is a $hithole.
2. Cut diplomatic ties, close embassies consulates etc.
3. Prohibit any travel from those countries, advise US citizens not o travel to there.
4. Target the caravans. a) drop leaflets telling them they have six hours to turn back. b) napalm all who decide not to.
5. Annex 10km wide strip of land south of US Mexican border, give locals 24 hours to leave, deport the rest, fill that stripe with minefields, patrol with drones, use of deadly force permanently authorized.
6. Deport all illegals (regardless of country of origin) to Mexico, let that bastion of humanitarianism take care of them. inform Mexicans that if their treatment of refugees isn’t humanitarian by our standards they will suffer more.
7. One bomb per wetback policy. Every time an illegal crosses from Mexico a random government building in Mexico will be selected for target practice, no warnings will be given.
Re: 5.) Have you ever been to Tijuana? 10km is the whole city including all the shantytowns of corrugated tin. After the demolition is complete we will have to SANITIZE the earth … burning … chemicals … exorcism …
