Do you folks remember shortly after the photo-opps of Trudeau welcoming the refugees to Canada…there was a story out of NS that the refugee kids in the school were beating on the Canadian kids (particularly the girls)? The mother who was brave enough to talk to a journalist mentioned that the kids were in the lower grades (grades 1 to 3) I believe. I heard that story exactly ONCE…after the normal news day (around 7 or 8 PM) while I was picking up my son from hockey practice. However, the story about Brown having “sex with high school girls” (which turned out to be BS) was played over and over–on every news report for at least a week.
I remember the new Canadians tormenting the established kids, and the media not being equipped to comment without disdain in their intonation. I have a hair trigger for that sort of thing though and tend to mimic others who use this tool to signal who should be dominant in some conversations.
This was media mentioned in the same week as some of the kids in school being outed as not being of “kid age”.

Whenever you hear them say that they’re vetting the refugees, it’s a total lie. Or near-total, at least. There’s no way in hell he could have been properly vetted in the three months between his arrival and the murder. None.
He needs to be put into the general prison population for a few weeks/months, with the other inmates told he’s a child molester/killer. When he eventually begs for isolation, put him there until he either kills himself or asks for a transfer. And when he does, drop him off over Syria out the back door of a Hercules. His relatives’ refugee or other immigration status should be revoked, and they should be deported.

It’s not exactly a lie, it’s just being disingenuous in that particular manner that politicians adopt to smooth over reality when it doesn’t suit them to admit the truth, which is: it’s almost impossible to vet someone coming from Syria with any certainty.
Contrast that with vetting an immigrant coming from, say, the UK or France or Denmark where communication with the relevant counterpart agencies in those countries will quickly yield reliable, actionable background information.
Not many refugees coming in from Europe. Yet.
But yes, that’s why I said “proper vetting”. There’s no way any proper vetting can be done for any refugee, let alone Syrian. There’s just not going to be agency cooperation that you could trust. They’re refugees, after all. And in a three-month period? It’s laughable on its face. It took me almost seven months to bring over my wife as a PR, and that was incredibly fast.
