  1. Re: The flux capacitator!

I personally believe he just didn’t have the required 1.21 Gigawatts of power required to send him back into the right moment!!

  2. Just a message to President Donald J. Trump (my grandmother would have appreciated it): could you, please, sir, do up your coat.

  3. Martha Elizabeth McSally (GOP – AZ) will win the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Jeff Flake (who could not have been better named, actually) and even if she has three first names, so long as President Trump does up his coat.

    Just sayin’

    1. Re Trump’s jacket: I thought he’d go to a good tailor in London and have one fitted properly. A diet would help also.

    1. Cute picture. Freeland dresses the way she hears about herself and every day our Canadian media tells us what a red hot dynamo Canada has in charge of these trade negotiations.

      1. I don’t know why she has not hired a stylist. She dresses very unprofessionally, and undoubtly other negotiators have an image of her as a “little girl”. That has an unconscious impact. Her hair also needs work. Her image is typical of the incompetence of the Liberal team. Maybe this is not the most important point to make about her, but it is an obvious fault that could be corrected with a bit of effort. She would be an excellent candidate for What Not To Wear. Interesting that show always showed psychological motives for dressing badly. Maybe Freeland thinks the Little Girl image will cause people to go easy on her.

    2. I’m going to make the call that the promise to protect supply management is as valid as the one to end first past the post.
This sets it up for Scheer and Jag to hammer the Sockmonkey that he lied again in a big way. It also gives Max some credibility as its better to remove the band aid quickly than drag out the inevitable.
Any guesses on what other of the liberals protected species gets cooked for dinner?

“Heavy snow fell above 1500 metres across the European Alps this weekend with a number of destinations reporting over 40cm of the fluffy white stuff.

While it is still summer in Europe, temperatures dropped over 15 degrees and dipped into the negatives in less than 24hrs.”

  9. A wacko judge ruled that extreme drunkenness can justify sexual assault:
    https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-ontario-judge-restores-defence-of-extreme-drunkenness-in-sexual/

Admittedly, the victim in this case (I think) was also very drunk — but the ultra-leniency that the socially-progressive judiciary seems to be backfiring on the feminists here. I am not crying too much over this. The Globe and Mail editors, big fans of violent crime and a lenient judiciary, ,must have mixed feelings over this case.

    1. While I don’t think drunkenness should ever be a defense, I have always wondered how they determine who raped who when both people are drunk.

  10. Do not fear our trade talks Justin told Trump he will purchase enough fake eyebrows to offset our dairy subsidy.

  11. Re: The flux capacitator

That was good for a laugh. And speaking of pranking the news, it reminded me of the prank names for the crew of the Korean flight than made sort of a crash landing in San Francisco 2 years ago. Carried by news outlets everywhere. Perhaps you remember? I still laugh:

    Flight Crew:
    Sum Ting Wong
    Wi Tu Lo
    Bang Ding Ow
    Ho Lee Fuk

    Ah….. good times.

  12. Freeland looks unprofessional because she is. She like her boss isn’t up to the task. You never saw Condi Rice dressed like she wasn’t in charge.

  13. Fake and plenty biased “news” organization at its best.

“Former New Hampshire governor and ex White House Chief of Staff under George W. Bush, John Sununu, was asked to appear on CNN this week to discuss the late Sen. John McCain. During the interview, CNN’s Alisyn Camerota was visibly upset that Sununu refused to denounce President Trump and his criticism of CNN:”

Camerota was probably slamming McCain a few years ago and doesn’t give a rip about McCain, just slagging Trump.

    1. OMGosh! I can’t believe what I have listened to. As another person said:

      Sean Davis seanmdav
If anyone at CNN had the ability to feel shame, there would be widespread embarrassment at the network for this atrocious interview by Alisyn Camerota. It’s beyond parody. https://youtu.be/fsIUThw0fuc?t=3m57s

It’s beyond parody should be underlined and in BOLD.
Do they have courses in arrogance and rudeness to your elders in uni?

      1. Ken, thanks for the link. My jaw dropped as I listened to Alisyn (wonder if her actual name isn’t Allison). WOW. Can this be real? John Sununu was amazing grounded in his responses and refusals (multiple) to take the bait which of course just made her all the more rabid. How low has CNN gone??

      2. Do they have courses in arrogance and rudeness to your elders in uni?

Exactly. I could not believe how rude and impolite she was to him. He clearly took umbrage at her method and she didn’t even have the courtesy to apologize for offending him.

CNN has long been dead to me. It’s even more so now.

Angus Reid survey shows just 17% of Canadians are “very confident” with the Trudeau government’s ability to represent Canada in trade negotiations.

As the U.S. and Mexico reach a deal on NAFTA without Canada, and after weeks of us being on the outside looking in, a new Angus Reid poll shows that Canadians’ confidence in the Trudeau government’s handling of the trade negotiations has collapsed.”

  15. I just answered a question about my screen name asked by a participant at CTH. Thought I would share my answer with my friends here at SDA.

BTW … my screen name is a bastardized version of …

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinji_Shibuya

… No, I’ve never become much of a wrestling “fan” … but this is a name/character from my childhood that I found amusing as hell at the time (yes, even at 10yo, I knew “pro wrestling” was theatre). My screen name adopts the “theatrics” of a pro wrestling personality. After all that’s what all American politics has become … a theatrical wrestling match.

    1. As they age, some people become more tolerant, others, like John McCain, take the opposite path. I viewed him as a vindictive old fool. But then we seem to give prizes for political endurance. Is Strom Thurmond still in the senate?

      1. Palin was the ONLY ONE actually campaigning for the Republicans in 2008. McCain was functionally AWOL. It was almost as if he were stepping-aside for the “First African-American President”. I honestly would not be surprised to learn that McCain cast his personal VOTE for Obama in 2008.

    2. A very small minded move on the part of the McCain family. At least Palin will not have to endure those smarmy creeps who will be attending.
