This Is Not Your Grandma’s Humane Society

Protect The Harvest;

As you read this, the third of ten scheduled trials is underway for nuisance lawsuits that have been filed against Smithfield Foods. With the momentum gaining after the first two victories, something big needs to happen to get this stopped. In the first trial, the jury awarded the Plaintiff $50 million in punitive damages and in the second, $25 million, which are both illegal actions according to NC statues. Furthermore, North Carolina has a “Right to Farm” law that should have provided protection to the farmers but it did not.

  1. The bad news is, the farmers are fighting back…..in court.

    At a time when immediate public scrutiny/common-sense/outrage is needed, they have chosen an interminable process that will guarantee their bankruptcy, obscurity, and no public support.

    They should be blocking an interstate or the State Legislature with tractors and combines till the bullshit stops.

  2. First they came for Smithfield Foods. The current ownership is not the real reason this firm is being targeted.

  3. This is only the beginning. They will push, the courts will yield and then everyone will be so surprised when the blood flows. Free people will only tolerate this type of thing for just so long. Those type of law firms are deserving of a special kind of hell underneath the outhouses of hades.

  4. But, but, but … my chicken is so much tastier if the hens were running free … on the range. I can “taste” the FEAR of a caged bird. And the precise technique of the beheading affects the taste too. Haram, machine killings, taste terrible. Only Halal, loving, gentle, hand decapitation will ever be used on my slaughtered chickens. /sarc.

  5. But I am an intolerant fool that just doesn’t understand when I’d rather not have neighbours in the city have chickens.

    On 40X90 lots

  6. One of the Kennedy Brats Robert Kennedy Jr who belongs to one of those Eco-Freak groups WATER KEEPERS ALLIANCE has tried to sue Poultry and Pork Farmers both suits were dismissed

  7. “Smithfield Foods” is owned by a Chinese conglomerate controlled by the Communist party, which, frankly, does not care if it makes rural American communities uninhabitable.

    Their attitude is that little emperor wants pork, and little emperor will GET pork, no matter how many white people get sick from the stink of pigshit.

    1. You didn’t read my comment. First they came for Smithfield Foods. Then they came for smaller production facilities, and finally for the mom and pop farmers. Make no mistake, their ultimate aim is to shut down the livestock industry and force you to be a vegan vegetable, physically and mentally.

      Smithfield was for sale. The Chinese purchased it. Some other group could have purchased it.

  8. – And why are they launching lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit?

    Because they can.

    Lawyers smelling blood in the water – NEVER a good thing…
