Just as Canada’s light keepers have been PCed to oblivion.

Every NGO goes this route,if they are a popular necessary organization, the public support them well.
The parasites see a pool of public wealth for them to help “manage”.
The solution is self evident, none shall be permitted to administer the life boat crews, who has not gone to sea,active real rescues, for 5 years or more.
Given the level of theft by these “professional helpers” the rescue boys would have been better off having no “help” at all.
Rather than doing good, the professional management of the RNLI are doing well.

A song I first learned in public school in 1949. The words and no longer applicable and its politicians are fast sinking it below the waves. PC now rules the collapse and the spectacle of the up coming nuptials are an empty facade.

My only comment is … “get over it”.
The men were actually “bonding” by exchanging humorous, good-natured “ribbing” gifts. The fact that they kept the gag gift (“risqué mug) onboard indicates that the gift was received in good humor. I WANT that kind of camaraderie from my rescue squad. Political correctness is endangering people who desperately need help. I can imagine that the PC rules will insist that the one transgendered crew member be designated as the FIRST responder in a critical rescue … but unfortunately the transgendered “man” was on his period, and couldn’t respond because “he” was in “his” bunk chugging Midol. So the crew had to radio headquarters for instructions … meanwhile the 300 people onboard the sinking ship all drowned. PC rules are stupid and dangerous.
The idea that the ruling organization insists on a “welcoming” environment onboard is ridiculous. Rules and rule books do not a “welcoming” environment make. PEOPLE make a “welcoming” environment. PEOPLE who “like” and “respect” one another. This environment is EARNED. Every person onboard has to EARN the respect of the whole crew. A rule book, creates a hostile work environment. A rule book that can be used as a bludgeon to FORCE a certain behavior is doomed to failure. Human interaction is programmed in our DNA. It cannot be abridged by a PC rule book.
I’m reminded of something I heard on CBC’s As It Happens many years ago shortly after Jimmy Doolittle died.
The guest who was interviewed talked about him and mentioned that the Raiders held periodic reunions. At one such gathering at a certain hotel, they got rowdy and started tearing the place apart.
One of the staff complained to the manager who, in turn, told the employee about them. He said that the Raiders had served their country during WW II and they had endured hardships that few people could imagine. He thought that out of respect for what they did and what happened to them, the Raiders should be allowed to have their fun and that the hotel would pay for the damage.
If they are going to be that dumb then maybe they should’ve left the Channel Islands to the HUNS!

As John Robertson points out, all successful systems attract parasites. Successful NGOs seem particularly vulnerable especially if they accumulate a large fund of cash. Since most of them have nothing useful to contribute on their own merits leftists target these organizations deliberately then turn them into bureaucratic sinecures which lose sight of their original raison d’être.
