Democracy Dies In FREE Same-Day Delivery

Bezos became the world’s richest person through his labors at Amazon, which he still controls. He purchased the Post in 2013 with $250 million of his Amazon pin money. While it might be more accurate to call the newspaper the “Bezos Washington Post,” seeing as Bezos and Amazon are joined at the hip, it’s not ridiculous to speak of the paper—at least in the vernacular—as the “Amazon Washington Post”. If Amazon didn’t exist, it’s unlikely the Washington Post would exist in its current form.

  1. WaPo is the Amazon/Bezos media poodle, they won’t bite the hand that feeds them…they’ll just be howling for Amazon/Bezos financial interests. What else do you need to know?

The only real question is why the Amazon Washington Post isn’t located in Brazil because obviously the editor isn’t aware he is swimming among the anaconda and piranha.

  2. ” . . . it might be more accurate to call the newspaper the “Bezos Washington Post” . . .”

    The term is “Bezos Blog.

  3. The bigger question is why does the president have Amazon in his crosshairs? It makes no sense unless the brick and mortar lobby has his ear or Trump is making it personal.

  4. I refuse to buy anything Amazon related and there is nothing in the world that will ever convince me to do so.

  5. Whenever Trump lays the strap on Jim Acosta and CNN, the competition pouts, “Why not us?!”

  6. So what? More and more newspapers are property of guys who got rich at something else.

  7. Ah Politico. Getting the tactics right about Trump’s approach, but then getting everything else wrong in the article. Too Dumb Did Not Read (all of it).

the trick was to ignore the oriental captions in the english language movies. price and selection was very good and delivery was quick.
but, I saw the current ‘hacking’ on the horizon and now just deal with the local brick&mortar suppliers to access the catalogs.
I recently contacted paypal to confirm if they STILL dipped into the linked cr card/bank acct to close transactions instead of limiting expenditure to ONLY the paypal acc’t funds. negatory!!! they STILL rummage around grabbing cash from anywhere they chose, to effect the xaction. kinda like instead of the ‘declined’ on the debit card machine, the vendor would then proceed to pickpocket yer wallet and TAKE whatever they needed.

    aint technology wunnerful . . . . .
