The FBI had a decade-long confidential informant relationship with the father of Pulse nightclub shooter Omar Mateen, prosecutors admitted Saturday, 12 days into the trial of his wife.
The undercover relationship with the father, Seddique Mateen, continued even though the bureau was tipped off in 2012 that its informant was himself raising money to plan a terrorist attack on the government of Pakistan.
The father's status also played a role in the FBI's decision not to seek prosecution of Omar in 2013 after they investigated him for violent threats, attorneys for the shooter's wife said. If Omar had gone to prison in that case, the infamous Pulse shooting might have been avoided.
Omar Mateen killed 49 people and injured 68 others at a gay nightclub in Orlando in June 2016.
As with the Parkland School shooter -- about whom the FBI received multiple tips and did not act -- the question is not "why did the FBI let this happen?", but "how many others like this are there?"
I saw elsewhere that they also considered recruiting Omar themselves? Crazy and scary. But we're supposed to think Mueller, Comey, and McCabe are infallible.

I bet the FBI wonders why everyone is so cynical. It seems that every big story has FBI or CIA involvement and they do everything possible to cover their tracks. The Las Vegas shooting is a tangled web that turned the Vegas police chief from a confident, in-charge, leader into a sobbing baby browbeaten by FBI thugs. They simply can't admit that Vegas was also a Muslim terrorist job.
I would write Federal Bureau of Incompetence, but incompetence only explains things a few times. A regular pattern of incompetence that tends to go in one direction (like the FBI does) should be considered wilful or criminal negligence at best and downright murderous or treasonous behavior at worst.
The FBI has been given Carte Blanche by American citizens ... and they have behaved like children who have overspent daddy’s credit card. Time to take the card away from them. Time to clean house of the anti-American Agents at ALL levels of the Bureau. Time to clean house of the incompetent (nay, corrupt) Agents. Time to get some FISA Judges who cannot be bought.
The Swamp is FAR WORSE than we sensed. Time for the adults to take charge again.

Same reason they facilitated the attempted Draw Mo Garland Texas massacre. They wanted it to happen. These massacres advance the "fundamental transformation" of America (gun control, massacre of conservatives, spreading of the Religion of Mayhem, etc.). JugEars and his cronies thoroughly politicized the FBI and DOJ. Law enforcement and justice are the last things these agencies now care about.
Maybe one of the geniuses here can say something about how if only the government breaks up Google, or the press should investigate, or some such. Never get tired of the people who always put faith in man. The amusement never stops.

In the case of the Parkland school in Florida, they (FBI, Broward county) may do more than just "want it to happen."

When I first read your post, I just thought it sure would explain him, but didn't think more about it.
Upon reflection though, the whole thing becomes much more sinister.
I believe the link in that Hogg did graduate from a California high school in 2015. That should be easily verifiable. Just ask the students in that graduating class.
The thing though, is this. I don't think your link's surmisal is correct. I think he did attend the Florida school, at least as a senior. Otherwise surely the other students would say that he is not a student there.
Putting the two together, it only makes sense if he has been a plant. Why else would someone who graduated from high school two years ago enroll in another high school? But why was he planted there?
The Broward county officials and school district kept a known dangerously deranged student in class. The FBI and Broward county officials did not even put his name in the registry so he cannot purchase a gun. The Broward county sheriff is known to be an anti-gun radical left winger. He told the deputies responding to the call to just hide behind the squad car. The school resource officer did not enter the room where he knew shooting to be taking place. The deputy assigned to the school saw fit to sleep in the squad car. And afterwards, up pops this plant to speak for the whole student body. He has plenty of financial and PR support, including the media.
All these only point to one thing. The deranged shooter was a time bomb planted in the school by Broward county. A time bomb allowed to purchase a rifle. The sheriff department and student resource officer made sure they will not interfere when the time bomb goes off. (That is why they were so angry at the two SWAT officer for trying to mess up the whole thing. Obviously the latter were not in on the conspiracy.) Afterwards, up pops the planted 21 year old who is immediately acknowledged to be the spokesman by all the media, whose new organization got 20000 people to DC to march.
All of that was to create and exploit a tragedy that will have the whole nation listening to the anti-gun conspiracy "for sake of the children." When in fact they had already sacrificed 17 children to the cause. They would have been even more successful. Too bad they did not plan on another nut trying to shoot up another school, but was foiled by a good guy with a gun. Of course you hardly even hear about that from the MSM.
Call me paranoic, but I really don't see any other logical explanation for this whole chain of events that led to the tragedy and its aftermath, especially how to explain the person who rose to prominence through all of that, David Hogg. Definitely sheer incompetence doesn't begin to explain it. The fact that his dad had been an FBI swamp creature definitely factors in all these. If my conjectures are true, mass execution would be too easy on them.

The incompetence is, at the very least, staggering. The organized mass demonstrations and media coverage serve as a distraction of that incompetence. It's quite the coincidence that as I understand it Hogg's dad is with the FBI, his mom is with CNN.
When we read about President Trump and the spending bill not being conservative enough we got worried. If I were in that space I would look at the 21 TRILLION debt and use the power of majority representation to cut whole Departments. After all, when Reagan fired air traffic controllers who were on (rotating ?) strike, he received many kudos.

Another point ... that isn’t getting enough play ... is that the shooter abandoned his “assault rifle” when it jammed ... as is common with “high capacity magazines”.
