The Children Are Our Future

Good God. Its 2018 already. Trump has been president for 2 ears. If he was half as bad as the left would like him to be, the US would look like the set of A Handmaid's Tale. Leave the kids alone, for God's sake.

It is sad to watch the left trying to impose a Soviet style thinking on US and Canadian society.

Oh sure. Mock these 8 year olds all you want. Well I too remember the trauma of the despotic Ford administration when I was a wee 8 year old. Haterz!

Stupid people have stupid children.

Western public schools, enabled by far too many complacent parents, have been grooming these little leftist foot-soldiers for decades now.

Seems the left finally lowered their ethics bar far enough to justify mobilizing them as a political weapon. Sick.

As per Trump, the determined mainstream and social media hate-mongering of him has been an incredibly intense web of lies, propaganda and groupthink to witness. The CBC has been almost as vile as the lowly CNN in it's partisan campaign to discredit an election result they didn't want. They of course have chosen the lowest road possible to achieve this goal, intensely attack and discredit the man himself as being evil and dangerous.

In the early 2000s, the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce did a study of the province. It's goal was to find out why so much out-migration was happening, and to suggest ways that the government could stop it. It had, of course, been going on for the better part of 5 decades by that point.

One of the pieces from that study hit home with me, and I still remember the stat to this day - that 75% of 12 year olds had already decided that they were moving away from Saskatchewan because they didn't believe there was opportunity here for them. The point here is that 12 year olds don't talk about that stuff on the playground. They don't talk about there being no hope here. When I was 10, I was talking with my best friends at the time about setting up a ranch just up the road - didn't fathom that anything was different in other places. So where did they get the notion that there's no opportunity here? From the supper table. Collectively, it's the parents ingraining this attitude in the children.

Long story short, 8 year olds are a mirror, not an individual - if you see an idea from them, sure as shtuff that idea is coming from the adults in their orbit.

@MolonLabe My neighbor's, boss's , step-son's, niece read all these stupid posts. She asked him: "All these commie tools can't be this deranged can they ?" He replied: "Sorry, Yes". So she grabbed an AK-47, a Colt Python, an RPG and 10000 rounds of ammunition and left for school. She was yelling "Live Free or Die !". They live in New Hampshire, but she will probably still get suspended. He's in trouble too. Last time the school principal made him promise he wouldn't let her listen to any more Mark Steyn, sigh.

Why do these pathetic losers have to pretend their demon spawn said these things? Are they that embarrassed by their thoughts?

Bingo. Kids see and hear everything you do that you aren't taking extreme care to hide. They imitate to learn how to work in the world around them, and as parents, you're their main role models, followed by teachers, friends, and clergy. People who pretend that kids that young are coming to their opinions independently are disingenuous at best.

when my son was about four, he was watching a "north of sixty"
episode on tv that featured the local miscreant in the town jail.
when it came time for someone to bring this guy lunch, neophyte
piped up in indignation... "if thur in jail, thur should not
be feeded!"

a proud moment indeed.

My sister told me that my eight-year-old niece balled her fist at the TV, looked at Trump and said, "This ain't over!" I love her resilience.

I can just imagine how that "eight-year-old niece" responds to her mother's disciplining her. Does that eight-year-old also ball her fist at her mom and say, "This ain't over!" Does her uncle Michael then say, "I love her resilience."

My 8-year old Estruscan said to me the other day that he believes all these 8-year olds on Twitter are not real. He then went back to work on his annotation of The Iliad.

Sixteen? 16???

Obviously we should give em' the right to vote at sixteen. After all they've been politically aware for fully half their lives.

As many here may know by now, growing up in a country run by communists…….
Anyway, this could be interesting.
In school we were taught the socialist/communist dogma stuff so from a public point of view we were indoctrinated by the ideology.
At home parents told us just go along. They also told us that most of the propaganda is made up nonsense, they, the parents grew up in a free society before the communists took over by hideous force.

What is interesting is, that virtually nobody believed the communists, in many cases the communists themselves did not believe what they were saying.
This is quite true of the students that protest, not knowing what exactly the whole story is.

There was a saying that is attributed to the soviet man on the street which was generally true of all countries run by communists, “we pretend to work and they pretend to pay us”. This could be summation of the behaviour of the population in everyday life.

all of those kids are exactly 8 years old

nothing suspicious about that ...right ?

Perhaps "8 year old girl" is merely a synonym for justin turdeau.

I remember my little 8 year old girlfriend at grammar school.

She said- 'Ike had won.'

So I kissed her and said 'Happy Ike Day.'

She chased me under the monkey bars.

I still love political stuff.

"Makeeds!"
OJ Simpson

give me the boy till he is 7, I'll give you the man!!!!

Nothing new here - look at Dr Fruitfly's and PETA's campaigns aimed at kids. Hell, look at Stalin's Russia and the Third Reich.

@BL@KBIRD: yup. My son on the other hand had the smarts and the guts to give a presentation in Geography class showing that there is no evidence climate change is caused by anthropogenic COP2 emissions. STUNNED his teacher and most of the class - but not the other smart ones. Damn right this ain't over!

What kind of people WANT to frighten children and turn them into simpering little savages?

If I'd had an attitude like that when I was 8 years old, my father would have smacked me across the head and told me to smarten up.

When I was 8 ... I came in from recess to see my 2nd grade teacher sobbing uncontrollably listening to radio reports of JFK’s death. I was sad that everyone was so sad ... as I ALREADY KNEW ... that death wasn’t good. But the most important thing at that moment (as I recall) was that I got to go home and play for the rest of the day. I was excruciatingly WOKE to being an 8yo BOY! So far as I knew ... older people tended to die from time to time ... sorry. I believe anyone who prevents an 8yo from being an 8yo ... is ABUSING the child as surely as a paedophile child abuser.

The left seems to like the "8 year old child" narrative. A lot. Have a look at this search:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=eight+year+old+with+gun+at+school&atb=v78-7__&ia=web
Oddly, there is never any follow up to these "news reports".

Hell, I remember when Ike was going to nuke the USSR. Also remember Stalin's death, The Korean war and the Suez crisis. It was always going to be armageddon. No kids I knew ever bought into this snowflake crap. We were taught that we won the war and could do so again.
Stalin was evil, the Norks were biscuit heads and the Egyptians were a lesser race.
I still have to agree with that. Does that make me a bad person?

@ Saba Ansari: well that would be an improvement regardless of Trump's election.

It is just another fantasy of the Progs that kids are more knowledgeable and wiser than adults. It would mean they will have nothing to learn for the rest of their lives. It is also another fantasy that they can sort out the facts just as well, or even better. Kids just do not spend their time worrying about life. (Well, most kids. Some are unfortunately thrust into the situation of having to play adult.) What they say is not the result of deep analysis, just parroting back what they have heard.

I was very precocious as an eight year old. I was aware of the Korean War, and I read Sherlock Holmes (in translation.) I realized later that I ate up every word Conan Doyle wrote because I had not yet developed critical thinking.

I was going to say that kids are only religious because of their parents brain washing them, butt I won't!!!

"What kind of people WANT to frighten children and turn them into simpering little savages?"

The kind of people that think the 'right' to murder babies in the womb is the single-most important political issue ever.

"...but I won't!!!"
We all see what you just did here.
(PS: I corrected your typo)

I can top that kenji. I had the day off school already for a 'pin prick' allergy test.
my ma left me there whilst the serum samples did their thing, in the mean time the secretary dropped the phone and announced jfk had been shot.

on the bus going home, 12 yrs old, Im thinking, ... no one here has a clue what just happened, I hope he's ok ......

but of course by the time I got home it was all over the news.
and I found out they sent all the kids home that day. so in traditional 12 yr old thinking, one of the things I remembered was being annoyed if he had been shot on a different day I could have had TWO days off. well, wtf, I was just a kid.....

one needs to pay strict attention what you tell kids.

I recollect a very sad story of a house fire where the kids died
all curled up right next to an *intact* window.
'why dinn dey smashit oben?' rose the hue and cry.

because the old man drilled it into their young inexperienced and fearful heads if they broke a winder dere'd be 'ell ta pay dere wood dere'.

INSTEAD of explaining that getting out of the house by whatever means is TOP priority and quick decisive thinking would be admired, encouraged and broadly boasted.

furthermore, which palestinian people drill it into THEIR kids heads to hate, hate, hate? paraphrasing Golda Meir, there will be no peace in the middle east until the palestinians love their children more than they hate the Jews.

and that is pure leftist thought. the leftist virus infecting an entire demographic.

there wuz NO typo:-)))

A coupe of quotes:

Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.-

- Vladimir Lenin

“Give me a child until he is 7 and I will show you the man.”

― Aristotle, The Philosophy of Aristotle

So, to whom are parents forced, at government gunpoint, to deliver their children?

said sally kohn's turkey baster child...who's your daddy, cause it certainly isn't your other mommy.

Child abuse is so uplifting.
For our progressive comrades that is.
Trouble is,which ones are the children?
The eight year olds or their simpering relatives?

Haha ha ... yeah, my mom was divorced and working, so I spent the day at a friends house. I recall us having a ball ! It was like a vacation day for me. So you’re 66 ... FULL retirement age ... geeze, I find myself actually wanting to get older now ... to be fully retired

DING!
We have a winner!
