And that's why I'm picking up more ammo first thing in the morning.

About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

More reassuringly, that has been a huge surge in support among young people for the second amendment.

Yes, the children are our future, and it doesn't look good. The fifth columnists that Yuri Bezmenov warned us about and the large percentage of media and educational people that have been sympathetic to Marxist/Leninist communism since the 1930s have done their work well. Saul Alynski, Bill Ayers and Soros are no doubt pleased with themselves. They even have leaders such as PM Socks under their control. These students demonstrating for more gun control and "open borders" are being used as cannon fodder by the radicals who now largely control the Democrat Party.
Robert Conquest has quite a long chapter in his book, "Reflections on a Ravaged Century", about the infiltration of our educational facilities, the media, and the communist puppeteer control of the protest and anti-Nuclear movements during the last century.
Thee are some bright spots to be sure in the US and in Canada. Resistance to the new Mao-lings of the Red Guard by such people as Dr. Jordan Peterson, Rick Mehta, Lindsay Shepherd and a few thousands scattered throughout our educational and media systems are not enough to stem the ever increasing assault on freedom. Stalin, rotting in hell, is no doubt pleased with himself.
Thank goodness that grandchildren we have that live nearby have not been corrupted. The rest, further away in BC, I'm not sure about.
Just think, thirty years ago these disturbance events were rare enough that we just shrugged them off, but now they are almost daily events, and call it over reaction or conspiracy nonsense, but I opine that our society is on the verge of collapse.
And, the people slept.
When the zombie apocalypse comes, just be sure not to help anyone who is fleeing a city. If they don't know what is safe to eat and what is not, how to kill a chicken or fish or anything else, they deserve to starve.
People who actually know how to tan a hide and construct a saddle just might be the over lords of our future. Once they tear down the last refinery, how exactly are you going to get anywhere, or do anything? Pretty tough to run a horse team when no one you know has ever even seen one.
"People who actually know how to tan a hide and construct a saddle just might be the over lords of our future"
No.
While this knowledge will be vital it will just mean these people are the property of the local war lord - the guy with the most guns and ammo. If you keep him happy you will get food to eat. Don't ask what it is or where it came from.
Remember the story of Daedalus the inventor. He created the Labyrinth - and then King Minos threw him inside it so he could never tell anyone how to get out.
The kids are simply doing what their two moms (with matching nose rings) told them to.
And there will be NO punishment meted out. The schools have yet to enact a “no tolerance” policy for vandalism against the symbols of “oppression” ... such as the American Flag
The only purpose of the demonstrations is to show that leftist and socialist ideologies own the schools and the students. Schools are indoctrination centres. That's a done deal. School reform is needed, but it is irresponsible to keep your kids in a public school until that happens.
What's with the time out of class to go demonstrate? Maybe they should be demonstrating on their own time.
Some school principle should call them to his office and hand out appropriate discipline for skipping class. It would send the entitled a message.
I'm not against the cause or students having their say I just think somebody should point out you don't skip class. Try that in the workplace and you might find yourself in the penalty box.
During the US response to Saddam's Kuwait game, a friend's daughter mentioned that the school students were planning to leave class to demonstrate against the military action. The mom asked her whether Saddam should be able to get away with what he did. The daughter was the only student to remain in class; the Mom felt so proud.
Despite the crowing by the left-tards, the kids were simply skipping class. Those who were also vandalizing were typical juvenile delinquents. Nothing more, nothing less.
Only an idiot liberal propaganda monger would try to tell you different. If it was suggested a walk-out in support of the NRA should take place, 99% of the group that skipped class in the first place would again go to that. Kids skip class and any excuse to get away with it, so much the better.
