Where's Paul Harvey when you need him? It would be fun to know the rest of that story.

Supports ... “carbon pricing”?

What kind of double-speak, subterfuge is THAT!? Why don’t you tell the TRUTH!? Expressed clearly and concise (after all ... you are a highly educated Doctor) ... you support HIGHER TAXATION. You BELIEVE that mankind is altering the climate in CATASTROPHIC ways ... that can only be “fixed” through economic PUNISHMENT.

My God man ... have the STONES ... to actually SAY what you BELIEVE.

Socialist economic genius from the new NDP leader:

"Ryan Meili, a doctor in Saskatoon, said the clinics may have a negative long-term effect. Meili, who has ran twice previously for leadership of the provincial NDP, questions whether or not the private clinics are operating within the realm of the Canada Health Act, since people are paying for what are considered medically necessary services, he said.

“Along with patients, you pull the doctors and pull the other technicians out of the public system and that tends to actually increase wait times,” Meili said, pointing to provinces like Alberta, where private MRIs exist but wait times remain."

By Meili's logic we shouldn't allow new potash mines because the new mines will pull employees from the other mines.
No new restaurants and bars should be opened because they will pull staff from existing bars and restaurants, no new businesses of any kind because they will just steal staff from other businesses.

The NDP's war on jobs rages on.

I suppose that increasing the size of any government department should be discouraged as well because that would result in staff being pulled from other departments.

Socialists don't understand economics, if they did they would not be socialists.

Ryan, he a dokter! And sounds as sharp as a sack of wet mice when the issue is outside his professional experience.

An accountant once told me that the worst businessmen he ever encountered were Doctors, great at medicine, know bugger all about business and are prone to making lousy investments. Just the type of person you need to run a Province.

If this guy and his Party win the next election, the theme song of the victory party should NOT be "Happy days are here again", but the much more relevant,"Are the Good Times Really Over For Good".

Meili is a practicing Catholic, and has therefore been thoroughly indoctrinated in the Roman teachings of communism.

Meh. Anyone to the right of chairman Mao is alt Reich these days anyway. To actually be called left wing, by anyone in the media; you got to be so far out in the deep end...

I knew Rosie from university residence. Listen to what he says.

“Along with patients, you pull the doctors and pull the other technicians out of the public system and that tends to actually increase wait times,” Meili said, pointing to provinces like Alberta...." Perhaps he should look in the mirror. Going into politics, pulls an "invaluable public asset" out of the collective and thoroughly rationed monopoly without even the benefit of treating private payers. By his own standards, he should not be allowed to leave his "profession" that the public system paid for in his training and subsequent monopolist billing number. Once he becomes Premier, he can continue in the great national socialist tradition by ensuring that anyone who has the audacity to want to spend their own money on their own health care must do so outside of his reich.

A ringing (ex)dorsement from someone who knows the Doc. I concur.

Is just over 10,000 total votes the norm for the Sask. NDP ?

About 17,000 voted in the Sask Party's recent leadership vote.

I'd say that's a good sign.

"If this guy and his Party win the next election"

God help us all if this highly unlikely scenario unfolds. Meili should shelve the tiresome "mediscare" routine. It no longer works. Have you ever noticed how the NDP and their union cohorts rarely, if ever, lay out a plan to make the province a better place. It's always negativity about what the Sask Party has done and, more often than not, what the Sask Party "might" do. Come election time I won't be content with another Sask Party victory. I would wildly celebrate a spanking of epic proportions with Meili losing his seat ala Cam Broten.

Well, if ever there was a more socialist place than Saskatchewan, any time or country, I do not know what it was. At this point I would say it is inevitable that we follow Wynne and Notely and Rae and all the others down the rabbit hole. And you brainless morons who think the Sask Party ever wanted anything different, stay deluded my friends.

If Wall/Moe really, really, really did not want a carbon tax imposed by Ottawa, there is a really simple solution; SEPARATION. If you are not part of Canada, Canada cannot impose carbon taxes on you. But notice how the Sask party follows the NDP lead, AND NEVER EVEN TALKS ABOUT THAT OPTION. So, simple question. If the Sask party were REALLY Sask first, there would already have been multiple separation referendums in response to pipeline blockage, carbon imposition, the fact that railways never move our grain, the fact they ended the "in perpetuity" Crow rate, the imposition of the CWB, ... So, the Sask party is NOT Sask first; SO WHAT ARE THEY? What and who's interests do they actually serve?

And whomever is pulling the strings of the Sask party, thanks you for your donation. Cause you are just a sucker.
