About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

Go Max!!
He had my vote for the leadership.
*
"Bernier replied by saying he isn't interested in a meeting because
the two share no common ground, and says Conservatives should
support treating everyone individually without any labels at
all."
there's my conservative party!
*
Yep. But CBC told people that Scheer was much more better. And the sheeple followed.
"Yep. But CBC told people that Scheer was much more better. And the sheeple followed.:
And more than a few on this site said "Never Bernier, he's from Quebec". So now we have:
Andy Scheer
A Liberal steer
Got all dressed up in blue.
But takes a stand
On everything
Just like turdo la doo
I recently emailed Max, expressing my frustration that, with all the sh!t hitting the fan around Turdeau, Scheer is basically absent. Max was my choice for CPC leader because I felt that in situations like this, he'd be on the front page and leading the news each day.
"stating colour blindness as a defence actually contributes to racism."
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Heads I win, tails you lose, etc. etc.
I wish Bernier were the CPC leader instead of Sheer. I voted for Lisa Raitt, but I would have been happy with Bernier. But Sheer! I am so disappointed in him. He seems like a really nice guy, earnest and patriotic, but timid, wishy-washy and uninspiring. Whenever there's a contentious issue - like the acquittal of Gerald Stanley - he's MIA, when Trudeau and Singh didn't hesitate to give their opinions.
Good for Bernier. A lot of Canadians are getting sick of the identity politics. Scheer should start speaking out against it as well.
I voted for Bernier as leader of the CPC but the party chose a middle of the road balance between the red tories and the more truly conservative.
As far as this issue goes, it seems that not being racist is Raaaaciiissst!!!
in the long term, Bernier is 100% spot on.
since when do LIEberals *ever* consider the long term over instantaneous virtue signaling?
Max was and is my choice!
Max was and is my choice!
What else did anyone expect from Scheer? His big claim to fame is that he was the Speaker of the House; aka the *referee*. He didn't have to take stands on anything because he wasn't even *supposed to do so*. Ergo he spent his four years in the Speaker's chair performing no governing work of substance and studiously avoiding taking any real stances on anything. Little wonder he's all but done the same since becoming leader. He's a damned empty suit, a bad choice for leader, and I've no doubt that Pony will beat him but good in 2019.
Mind you I figured we were stuck with Pony for 8-12 years as soon as he won, anyway. Bernier would've lost in 2019 too but at least he would've lost standing for something and actually started to build the groundwork that would lead to a victory. With Scheer the party's just running in place, going nowhere.
Bernier used to be all about fiscal libertarianism and other issues were back burner.
Sometime around the tranny toilets issue and during the leadership campaign he became red pilled.
We need the entire CPC caucus to get red pilled.
Getting tired of palooka 90’s conservatism.
Good for Max for having some principles and sticking to them.
Yes, it does appear that we got stuck with a lemon and another four years of a useless teat.
Max should be the leader.
Will Sheer speak out against illegal immigration, corporate welfare, pipeline delays?
Right now he,s busy in England.
And more than a few on this site said "Never Bernier, he's from Quebec".
In all fairness, I was skeptical of his ability to handle confidential government documents. And his taste in girlfriends.
If Lance doesn't upgrade the Captcha soon, we're not going to able to post. It's getting more and more obstructive.
When scheer loses maybe they'll rig it so bernier wins next time. Until then it's scheer who? The guy hasn't been on the news yet. Completely useless.
Completely useless.
So far, he's made Joe Who look like Donald Trump. If he continues like this, he'll be in the running for the worst Conservative leader alongside Kim! Campbell.
If only Andrew Scheer could be Patrick Browned right out of his job and replaced with a real leader like Bernier.
Maybe some anonymous chick could claim Scheer pinched her ass 10 years ago or something, that ought to do the trick.
In all fairness sometimes it is better to just let the Hairdoo continue to beclown himself. As Judge Judy would say, "Why are you interrupting? Does it look as if you are losing?"
The clown prince continues to embarrass himself and by association, those who voted for him. Let it last forever.
However, Bernier was my first choice too. But all the squishy red tories picked the guy who supported the Paris Climate Accord. Gaa!
We just need an anonymous woman and a scumbag journalist and we're all set. Surely Bernier knows someone.
maybe you can contact Bernier big t*ted biker bi*ch, she's probably up to the job:-)))
Daniel Ream, it was his taste in bit*hes that made me support him. Too many religious flakes in here to support a real conservative MAN, that's why we git (s)cheers and browned out..
Thump thumpiety thump, the sound of the bible bangers drumming real conservatives out
Without demeaning anyone's point of view in any way, I happen to like Max's taste in girlfriends, if it's all the same. As for the rest of it (the government docs), it all looked a bit thin at the time -- and it certainly does now, doesn't it?
All in this household in Stratford ON voted for Max.
I thought the potential of his leadership was a promising -- and, possibly, transformational -- moment in the history of the Conservative Party, and of the country. I remain disgusted, frankly, that his bid slimly failed for the most transparently transactional and pecuniary reasons (supply management), particularly now that the United States has offered a reasonable opening position for an exit plan, to which, apparently, the current Canadian representation is incapable of responding.
Regardless, this latest development is certainly a very fine moment for Max. It makes me proud, actually, and somewhat hopeful for the country. Hopefully, the Tories don't lose him...
An outstanding display of spine Max...
", I happen to like Max's taste in girlfriends"
hear hear, but many in here are limp wristed panty waists, and would faint if they were with me the other night when I was having a bit of fun. :-)))
This poor excuse for a human being is my MP here in Whitby (as Prince would have said - 'The town formerly known as Whiteby'.
I've sent a few 'suggestions' to her (office) over the past 2 years - all were boilerplate Lib replies.
Let me be clear that my issues with Bernier's girlfriend have to do with her (fine, alleged) ties to organized crime. I don't care if Bernier likes to hump water buffalo; I do care if a transnational drug smuggling, prostitution and gun running enterprise has influence over the PMO. Especially if he's prone to leaving confidential state documents lying around the house.
The Liberal MP is a racist. Her apology was insincere. I'm glad he didn't accept it.
Fair enough, although, as I said, I was not in any way impugning anyone's opinion: I happened to like her look, if that's not a problem.
On the other hand, since you raised it for a second time, you seem to be suggesting a series of serious ulterior criminal motives attributable to the lady in question, whose motivations just happened to be able to be satisfied by the contents of the Minister's despatch box, on the occasion in question.
This would further assume, of course, that the lady in question chose to spend some of her time, on this particular occasion, while in the company of the Minister, reviewing and otherwise duplicating, in some fashion and unbeknownst to him, the contents of the documents.
You then go on to suggest, on this basis, that this would compromise the Minister's position, should he become Prime Minister (which he should, IMO).
I hope you can see the problem with your assertions; is there something that you are not telling us?
On the other, other hand, I can posit an entirely different theory of the case: as it happens, I happened, at the weekend, quite by happenstance, to see the episode of The Crown (Gelignite) in which Peter Townsend purportedly upstaged HMQ in Belfast, which, according to the show, led to the demise of his relationship with Princess Margaret.
Now, as it happens, I like Stephen Harper quite a bit (voted for him seven times, actually), but it could merely be the case that Mr. Bernier upstaged Mr. Harper, with dire consequences. Quite apart from which, Mr. Harper's tenure was not supposed to lead to national security chaos we are faced with today...
who the f is andy sheer?
I too Voted for Max and you are absolutely right - he would have crucified him in French and English.. BIG time.
Kudos to Maxine. The First MP to publicly denounce Social Justice Identity Politics BULLSHIT.
Long friggin overdue.!!
A glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel heightened by the actions of the Greek Government and Italian Voters....but Alas, SWEDEN has folded completely. THAT my freinds, was inevitable.
Kudos to Max!
Hard to believe you have to go to Quebec to find balls in the Conservative Party.
But then again, who knew that Albertans were dumb enough to be sitting on a sh*tpile of oil and vote for the anti-oil party.
I hear Newfies use Dumb Albertan when they are really laughing at you.
