"Organic" Is The Latin Word For "Grown In Pig Shit"

Good to see Miracle Grow, that stuff is great .

As someone who has grown fruits and veggies as a hobby for a long time, you cannot commercially grow produce without pesticides. All the bugs and bug holes would turn people off. I can throw out fruit or cut out worm holes but a consumer will not buy it in the first place. I also suspect that organic farmers use pesticides that work not necessarily what's approved organic. The joke's on organic consumers. There are no organic police.

Oh, dear, another illusion shattered. All these years, I thought that "organic" meant, among other things, free of pesticides.

Talk about the rank hypocrisy of the left. I suppose it's "organic" only if the socialists say so, right?

It doesn’t really matter. It’s not about reality, it’s how the self annointed righteous feel about themselves.

"The joke's on organic consumers." Exactly, and they are paying extra for being fooled.

Furthermore, I grew grain crops for a living for over three decades and the more recent organic scam's biggest failure is the poor crop production per acre. It is about 2/3 to 1/2 the production using conventional cropping practices. The organic fields also become more polluted with weeds and weed seeds which adds to production losses and also increases seed cleaning costs before seeding and later at the milling processing plants.

Yep, just like the holy climate rollers and EV's...

comic relief of the day:
Ive been plagued with squirrels stealing my apple crop.
yep. by the time they're tree ripened, they're all gone.

last year I hung about 200 LED lites in the branches to pretty things up.

on thursday, I was doing cleanup and found about 2 dozen of them all chewed up and wires cut. apparently the squirrels thought they might be an 'early crop'. not 1 string in 5 worked.

my plan is to replace them with new sets purchased on sale for next xmas, after I clean out the neighborhood with however many 'trap-and-deport' procedures necessary, and then leave the new ones on 24/7 which seemed to work before. backup plan is a pellet gun.

&$^#%$&# squirrels, cant grow corn, potatoes, tomatoes attacked, pears all stolen, apples, wtf at least they leave the ever increasing asparagus crop alone.

enjoy the rest of the weekend SDA, esp you Kate & support crew when the 'switchover' is verified.

I don't really see anything wrong with any of those, but if you're part of the dumb-as-a-stump crowd that thinks they are being clever by saying "if I can't pronounce it I don't want it on my food", I guess you've got a problem.

My favorite of all time was a "chemical-free mineral-based" fungicide for grape vines.

It was a solution of copper sulfate.

Not true, scar. We do it, want to come and see?

Pellet gun should be Plan A. And consider the squirrels a crop in themselves. You know what they are eating, the meat will be good.

All it takes is ONE good slogan ... set to music ... and you’ve brainwashed generations of shallow thinkers.

What’s with all these squishy leftist Canadian folk singers? Ha ha ha ha ... I quite like their “artistry”, yet am intelligent enough to draw my own conclusions about the lyrics. PS ... sad to read about Joni Mitchell becoming a crazy old recluse ... an inglorious end for the old gal.

I’ve got a wonderfully powerful and accurate pellet gun. For the blue jays (flying blue Terrorists) who are so bold as to land right on the back doorstep and eat the leftover cat food. Of course I just shoot “warning shots” ... to scare them away ... 😉🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦

Great sport!
