Now Is The Time At SDA When We Juxtapose!

Jan 16, 2018 - The infamous Cathy Newman / Jordan interview is aired on British TV and then published on YouTube. Newman is roundly and accurately chastised as the journalist equivalent of a thug, completely uninterested in "interviewing" Peterson and seemingly incapable of actually listening to what he is saying.

Mar 19, 2018 - A Guardian interview of Newman is published in which she portrays herself as an innocent, hapless woman oppressed by the patriarchy.

"The internet is being written by men with an agenda," she says. "Look at a woman's Wikipedia page and you can't believe a word of it." She has been monitoring her own, which has been rapidly edited back and forth in the past few weeks. "I wasn't prepared for the torrent of abuse after [the Peterson interview]. People say: 'Why don't you just block them?' But there were literally thousands of abusive tweets - it was a semi-organised campaign. It ranged from the usual 'cunt, bitch, dumb blonde' to 'I'm going to find out where you live and execute you'."

In any case, she is certain it can be fixed: the mockery and abuse of women in the public eye "is not an acceptable way of doing business in the 21st century. Either the social media companies have to grapple with that or governments will. It is not beyond the wit of man or machine to detect and sift 'cuntbitchwhore' from genuine satirical comment. It is corrosive to women, no matter how tough you are, to log on and see that torrent of abuse."

- Wonder how she stands wrt Al Gore and global warming?

"Manbearpig, meet Cuntbitchwhore..."

"A Guardian interview of Newman is published in which she portrays herself as an innocent, hapless woman oppressed by the patriarchy."

It takes a phenomenal combination of narcissism and nerve to consider yourself "an innocent, hapless woman oppressed by the patriarchy" when you are a well-remunerated, high-profile presenter at a major UK TV channel.

Mockery and abuse of men in the public eye, however, is perfectly fine.

Cuntbitchwhore.

"It takes a phenomenal combination of narcissism and nerve to consider yourself ...."

This is the left you are talking about, besides hypocrisy all they have is narcissism. Nerve, only when in a mob.

What a ridiculous joke she is.

If the Peterson interview is a reliable indicator of her skills, she's a shoe-in for Monty Python.

Canada will be the first country to rule: "No mean comments about women allowed on Twitter." And our PM will make sure Twitter enforces this. Personally I am getting tired of the gender wars.

Don't be too upset, the entertainment value of the left these days is gold.

Just go with the flo, make the most insane comments you can and when anyone complains just work up your best drama queen reaction and demand an apology from them for oppressing your marginalized, post modernic, non-hegemonic, trans-utopian, non gender specific diurnal gender adaptability that forms the basis of your virtual identity. Then call them racist transophobes.

It's a game that more than 2 can play....

Yeah. Increasingly my response to all this noise is "somewhere, a sammich is going tragically unmade."

Newman is no journalist, almost every line she utters demonstrates that she is little more than a bigoted, hardcore activist with a stage.

This was on full display in her Jordan Peterson interrogation. Like a professional salesman, a proper journalist's #1 responsibility is to listen. She couldn't even hear his responses because she talked over most of them. Newman had no interest in Peterson's insightful viewpoints except to manipulate his statements in a bid to paint a target on him as the patriarchal enemy. She has apparently learned NOTHING from the enormous international blow-back to her pitifully unprofessional performance.

As Peterson so eloquently stated about the successful Newman's shamefully ignorant and hypocritical claims of victim-hood after his experience with her.... 'You can't be the oppressed and the oppressor at the same time.'

I read that Newman piece and all I kept thinking was, “So, what you’re saying is...

What Peterson did when faced with a determined aggressive agenda driven interviewer, was fight back, in a reasonable, polite manner. That so astonished the woman that she was lost for words. If only hundreds of politicians would learn this lesson and do as he did, I think voters would be most receptive. CBC's women interrogators only succeed when their conservative subjects are too polite to fight back;if they were confronted occasionally they too would cry about aggression etc. Nice to see it happen though.

Yup. Though I tacked on a bit more. :D

But of course, doing exactly what she did would be called 'mansplaining', because patriarchy.

I'm sure things will be much better after the Muslims take over.

Yes, Peterson ran circles around her mentally and verbally. All she did was expose her cultural Marxist useless mindset.

Thinking here, perhaps the lady should become a patient of the professor for a short time. He could help her with pointers of what is life about.

One thing though is very difficult, getting out of "victim" mode.
Today, there are so many "victim" categories, its practically the whole population with the exception of those that are called conservatives.

Cathy Newman had at least two choices in response to the disastrous interview:

1. Study her mistakes and learn to be a better interviewer from them.
2. Cast herself as the victim and learn nothing.

"One thing though is very difficult, getting out of "victim" mode."

Ain't that the truth.

When I try 'X' to attack or humiliate a political opponent and it back fires, I am the victim. Kathy Griffin comes to mind.

This a place where it's important to embrace the power of "and". As in, Cathy Newman really messed up that interview -and- people can be real assholes with the maturity of a middle school children. Whenever someone's best argument is bitchcuntwhore or white bastard or evil jew and they actually express it out loud like it's a brilliant retort then you know you're dealing with a child-like adult. But, to then assume all people with similar immutable characteristics are exactly like that immature jerk is equally, childishly simplistic.

I suppose she's trying to rebuild her reputation and dignity while also saving her career. There are recent examples where progressives target an evil boogeyman to divert eyes away from their predicament. Harvey Weinstein, for example, "He said he would take a leave from the film and TV company he co-founded with his brother Bob and devote himself now to battling the NRA and President Donald Trump." Then add in the progeessive's "I'm the real victim" here standby strategy.

I kinda felt bad for her. It was obvious she was mindlessly following a template and it went badly. Like a GPS that directs you into a swamp. She's learned nothing though...she's simply following another template.

I agree a lot of women get turned off from the internet blog arguments and politics in general because of the insults but still if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen (is that sexist or the opposite?)

"...CBC's women interrogators only succeed when their conservative subjects are too polite to fight back; ..."

I've never seen a conservative being interviewed who was too polite to fight back. I've seen lots who were too scared to fight back, or just conditioned to accept that the media gets to make the rules and define everything and conservatives are just to exist as a punching bag for them to play with.

I doubt many people in the real world, male or female, would stand around talking poltics to a person who yelled bitchcuntwhore, threatened you or your family or told you to kill yourself. Having a discussion with a person like that is a pointless waste of time. You can't reason with immature, obnoxious jerks. If you stand there and let someone treat you like that without walking away, you're basically a doormat.

The bigger problem, imo, is that as normal and sane people walk away in disgust then all that remains on the blog are the immature radicals. The blog or group then becomes more radical and out of touch with normal people. They convince themselves that their radical views are actually mainstream. You can see this on the left when a progressive says something that would get nods of enthusiast agreement in their circle, end up getting looks of disgust and mocking from normal people. Recent examples - "Jews control the weather" "white women let men tell them how to vote". Conservatives and libertarians aren't immune to this problem either.

She won't seem stupid then. At least not to the wider public. Of course her new owner will know, but he'll have believed her so even if she weren't.

In my experience, it is the BULLIES who most often cry that they are being bullied.

You don’t really think the advancement of anti-bullying rules and regulations were created to protect the innocent ... do you?

She was happy when she thought her viciousness would win her points.

Like all leftists, her attention-getting scheme backfired on her when she realised that no one would stand for it.

I am going out on a limb here by saying ... Newman was shown to be painfully intellectually overmatched. Publicly. By her own doing. It must really make her ovaries ache to be so humiliated. You know, in the same way SHE was humiliated by a dumb reality-TV actor with a bad comb-over ... not to mention his army of deplorables. I guess the natural reaction is to forever wander the earth explaining ... “what happened”

This version of the Newman Peterson interview is much better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoxPMiHE-6s

"Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s 'gender equity' budget
is as shallow and ideologically-driven as he is."

I just watched Cathy Newman interviewing Milo Yiannopoulos, after she interupts him about 7 - 8 times and talks over him as loud as she can - like the bully she is - she tells him he must let her speak.

that is like the wolf telling the sheep to stop biting.

or the bully telling his victim to stop defending themselves against him.

That woman is crazy.

I am usually against name calling and throwing insults but

she deserves to be called cuntbitchwhore.

oh friggin absoLUTEly. its the blame game the bullies play inside their heads.
I would sometimes analyze bullying episodes I had gone thru in the past, and finally saw the self-deluding self-serving logic of the 'blame-the-victim' excuses employed by the bullies, who were very clever in convincing the authorities who would buy into their well practiced excuses.

this is all in the long past, but the phenomenon, well, we just need take a glance to see how it has infested pretty much any corner of human interaction and activity. I have the advantage of personal experience which thus heightens my senses on this topic.

sign of the times . . . .

Actually, she does not deserve to be called that.

What she deserve is and argument that will make head spin.

Funny she ,Newman, is using exactly the same playbook as Climate Barbie.
When the bully pulpit fails, claim yourself to be the victim of the people you attacked.
Well I am a Denier,I deny either of these parasites has the competence to do the jobs they have been appointed to.
Merit, shall become the new crucifix and garlic for these modern vamps.
