I have argued many times with Liberals and Progressives that they are ultimately Communists! It is all based on velocity and not on philosophy, as they believe. One has to think long term to understand, ie, if we are going to legalize weed then we may as well legalize fentanyl because that is the direction we are going.
If we give a little freedom here we are ultimately surrendering and we may as well plan for the gulags. I gave up a while back but I still observe and offer opinions but there are fewer and fewer listeners.

I am going to use a Soccer (futball) metaphor to describe Conservative “civility” ...

Take the Premiere League in Britain. The ONE coach who best exemplifies “civility” in English football is Arsene Wenger (Arsenal). Arsene is most often found sitting placidly on the bench while his team plays ... horribly. They play according to Wenger’s personality; tactical, precise, and ... timid. They have been getting systematically WORSE for the last 5-seasons.

Compare and contrast with league leading coach Pep Guardiola (Manchester City). Pep is most often seen prowling the touchline like a madman. Jumping, howling, instructing, and encouraging. He is an emotional ball of energy throughout the entire match. Then, win or lose, he embraces each and every player as they leave the field ... giving them yet more coaching tips and reinforcement.

Ironically, both teams play a similar style of play ... yet one team is significantly better (more successful) than the other. Is it simply down to the quality of players? Perhaps ... however both teams have more than enough talent to compete with one-another. No ... the problem with Wenger is that he is only HALF a coach. He is technically sound, as is Guardiola, but he is unable to “motivate” ... unable to inspire “passion” in his players. Same with the proper GOPe’s. Proper Conservatives.

The staid old conservatives who use politispeak in lieu of impassioned-speak (and impassioned actions) are HALF a political movement. They fail to “make the case” for any of their policies, because they don’t speak the language of “motivation”. Should conservatives break windows? Perhaps? ... in somke circumstances. But the primary problem of the “proper conservatives” is lack of “passion” and “connection” with the base players. Trump SPEAKS in a language that is fully understood ... by all ... except the legacy media and the legacy “conservatives”. Trump has defied all political conventions ... except ... WINNING. WINNING! And WINNING feeeeeeels really good. And leaves me wanting MORE. Working even harder for the next WIN. I don’t like being safely in the middle of the table ... I want to be TOP of the table.

When it comes to this type of crime, the police are incompetent. Chances are the people who commit these crimes are already known to agencies like CSIS but apparently they are so secretive they can't share information with law enforcement.
