Why Is There Always A Big Screen TV?

Eco-colonialism;

Louie’s experience is indicative of a widening rift between Indigenous communities and activists over natural resources, particularly in British Columbia, the focal point of major green campaigns generously funded by U.S. interests to thwart oil and gas exports.
The campaigns consistently portray a united Indigenous anti-development front and allies of the green movement, but some Indigenous leaders are becoming alarmed that they could be permanently frozen out of the mainstream economy if resource projects don’t go ahead.
They said in interviews they’ve had enough of activists invading their lands, misleading them about their agendas, recruiting token members to front their causes, sowing mistrust and conflict, and using hard-line tactics against those who don’t agree.
“The best way to describe it is eco-colonialism,” said Ken Brown, a former chief of the Klahoose First Nation in southwestern B.C. “You are seeing a very pervasive awakening among these First Nations leaders about what is going on in the environmental community.”

Lay down with liars, you’re gonna get lied to.

  1. Eco-terror making the indigenous population even poorer and less able, than they were before.
Not to mention the racist Indian Act itself, etc, etc,

  2. I’ve got news for you, Kate. The same thing happened in the 1960s and early 1970s when southwest BC was invaded – yes, invaded – and run over by young, angry socialist Americans from California (in particular) and other US states.
Canada’s calm and accepting nature attracted those Americans who were running away from the War in Vietnam.
The trouble is that Canada’s culture, which was mostly Christian and Jewish, was simply wiped out and replaced with an American socialist anti-God and anti-Bible culture.

  3. On this issue, the First Nations are classic “useful idiots”.
They fell completely for the green zealot’s propaganda, not realizing they may be green on the outside but are Red on the inside.
Big Yankee oil has been doing it’s best to trap Canadian resources inland,Vivian Krause has exposed this many times over the years. With the willing activism of the Natives they have succeeded so far,but now the ugly reality of the situation is evident, economic devastation for the Indians.
They look like the fools they were for believing Big Green and the Yankee Foundations gave a rosy red f*** about First Nations. Big Green would leave Indians sitting on the Rez’s on welfare carving trinkets for the tourist industry.
The city dwelling liars of Big green/communism have only one thing in mind, destruction of capitalism, and they in turn are useful idiots to the American oil industry, and we are caught in the middle.

  4. Trump aims to open nearly all federal waters to offshore drilling in biggest lease sale ever
The Trump administration on Thursday announced a draft proposal to offer offshore blocks to oil and gas drillers in almost all of the U.S. outer continental shelf.
The plan opens the door to drilling in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, marking a break with previous administrations.
The proposal faces challenges from coastal governors and an uncertain oil price environment that could keep many drillers from bidding for blocks in uncharted territory.
    How’s that for leadership!

  5. Let’s see; The “Token” indigenous people as described by the Chief(s) are the ones, IMHO, which were bought by the Colonials for a Bottle of “Hooch” or “Whisky” or whatever. Back in the Colonial Day meme the “Token” indigenous were the lazy, layabouts, who only responded to a A Dinner-Bell never for the communal needs of the Indigenous Community.
The Self-Interest Enviro-groupies; frequently on the payroll of the George Soros “Screw Canada” & the Rockefeller Foundation’s Hundreds of Millions of Dollars;— so that Canada’s Ethical Oil –never reaches the Oil Markets. Nothing from Canada is to affect the Good Life Generations of Rockefeller “Coupon Clippers”, sojourning in the resorts and otherspots designed for “keeping away” from the Deplorables.
Similar to the Clinton, Algore, and uber wealthy Silicon Valley increasingly out-of-touch Ownership and/or buying residential properties near Their Mansions so They are never even seen.
Interestingly: and returning to Indigenous People trying to fit into Canada’s Culture and Values; but prevented by the scurrilous Eco-Enviro-Bought-Off Groupies.
About three years ago a Women claiming to be the Mother of a Daughter, who was a young Activist in an indigenous community in the Niagara Peninsula. This young Activist was once again seeking support for the Tragedy of The Residential Schools. The “sermon” was not long and our mostly elderly Parishioners quietly listened while They recalled how many times the Anglican Diocese of Niagara came to reach into Their Pockets.
The Leadership expecting and laying Guilt on a Small Rural Congregation. The Residential School System apparently set-up in the Prairie Provinces experienced claims of pedophilia and cruelty, during the 1930’s. This occurred before the birth of Eighty & Ninety year old members of the existing congregation.
These pleas and/or squeeze practices were part of the Federal Government’s maneuvers to Blame some group for what appears to be pedophilia and rough treatment by the Residential School Teachers of the 1930’s. Apparently such Claims only were against Teachers with a Religious Calling. The claims as I recall were part and parcel at the time for Guilting of Canada’s, Anglican, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, United, Churches. It was never to be a situation which could be placed on the Programme Leadership of The Federal Governments Department of Indian Affairs.
At the time of the Claiming to the Department of Indian Affairs there were articles being written stating and I paraphrase; “if the Canadian Culture development had not come forward to educate the Indigenous People’s Children, the same people now looking for Someone or Group at the Time would possibly/probably be the ones complaining about neglect in educating indigenous children; If the Residential School System was not set up.
Regardless; during the 1980’s, our small Anglican Congregation gave as asked, some putting themselves within reach of Personal Hardship. The writing(s) of the other-side- of -the-Story ceased. The knowledge of how The Federal Government prevented Prairie Indigenous Communities. from developing Co-Operative processing of agriculture products they grew. This fact never seemed to become a subject of discussion.
The Indigenous Peoples of Canada understood then- during the 1980’s – and now when the Federal Government feels the need to assuage the Electorate, it is always some other Group’s fault. It does seem this is now happening onec more. Another Group has to be found to blame.
Returning to the Anglican Dioceses promotion of The Mother of a Young Activist speaking at our small church; when this Lady prepared to leave after “Coffee Time” after the Service, I came from the Kitchen carrying the dish towel I was using to dry the coffee muugs and plates and asked if She would answer a few questions.
She agreed; I asked why was there another project to compensate any of the Children deemed to be affected by the Pedophiles of several Church organizations during the 1930’s; when it was extremely likely there were few, if any, still alive while she was now making her presentations. Her immediate response, forceful given, was the damage of the Residential Schools will affect Seven Generations of Family members.
My incredulous Response: Seven Generations?–My goodness it is only One Hundred Generations since Jesus Christ walked on this Earth. How can anyone expect this time frame you have given to be honest and reflect the truth? The Lady left without another comment.I have never heard or experienced anything more
Except Now; The Bishop of the Diocese of Niagara sent a letter to all of Churches under His Dominion, directing the Rector(s) to have a statement read at the beginning of Each & Every Service. “Acknowledging Traditional Lands”.
I was then told this is a Phrase or Similar, which is now Broadcast over the Speaker System throughout Toronto Elementary Schools and Regional Niagara Elementary Schools.
Have you been made aware of this Latest Effort to Place a Guilting Programme on Young and susceptible Elementary School Children? How many generations must Guilting be allowed?
Some decades ago; I recall a discussion of; Just Where Do The High Mucky-Muck Mandarin’s Children go to be educated, and what Careers do they ” get a leg up on” over the less well positioned People’s Children? The discussion ended it is the schooling “The Laurentien Elite wannabes” deem appropriate. The Career Path is to become the Next Generation of High Mucky-Muck Mandarins in The Federal Bureaucracy.—-Followed by; Except of course the ” Manadarin Dumb Children” are always placed in the Department of Indian Affairs. No one wants to go there.

  6. The Tides Foundation will always be able to BUY a whole Tribe of Indians to oppose pipelines, oil drilling, logging, and strip mining. They can purchase more Indians than Custer faced at the Little Bighorn. Indian Scouts helping the white mans Eco Army are nothing new … and they will successfully portray the opposing Tribal leaders as … greedy … crazy … Capitalist … Indians.

  7. jeezus gary, would those jews who were so constructive of kanadian culture be the 6.7 million slaughtered in Europe during the WW2. We are based on kristian culture, period.
It’s about time fools like you read some real history, Dissyland is not real’

  8. “On this issue, the First Nations are classic “useful idiots”.”
Dead on, Don Morris. They sit there pounding their drums and chanting and waving their turkey feathers and burning sweetgrass. And they get poorer and their situation more hopeless while all the elites use them as propaganda for their own selfish purposes.
The modern equivalent of beads and firewater.

  9. jeez, wouldn’t it be great if everyone lived in the same century and had the best interest of both their fellow man and the country as their goal in life.

  10. The best part of Trump opening up offshore drilling on three Coasts is that the hysteria-pimping corporations and foundations will likely have domestic issues to focus on rather than leveraging their cash to sterilize Canada’s economy. Next, Trump should overturn the ESA and restart actual logging in National Forests in the NW. That should tie up their psychos for a while.
As for Canadian Indians feeling betrayed by the US eco-imperialists, Boo hoo! When shaking down resource companies is seen as economic development, it tells you how screwed-up we are. Our racial apartheid industry encourages Indians through SCOC rulings to act as de facto owners of vast Crown resources entitled to “more than mere consultation”. That path is not going to end well. I’m all for deeding reasonable tracts of land in fee simple to individuals based on racial purity if it puts an end to apartheid and allows Indians to become equal under the law. Communist racial ghettos are not worth preserving let alone funding.

  11. Yeah, I’ve been hearing these “traditional lands” invocations a LOT more around here lately, and it’s ridiculous. Every official city or provincial function seems to have them, as well as some religions ones. Enough of that and it’ll start to be perceived and interpreted as official law, and that’ll be the end of that.

  12. Sounds good to me.
My next label will be Chief Babbling Bull, if not addressed correctly by this my new gender…..
So even the Chiefs are smelling the sulpher?
I would have thought they recognized their fellow travellers from Gang Green, after all extortion is extortion no matter who is playing.

  13. Well said Don. Perfect.
John Q. Citizen, that is good news.
Meanwhile, like Kate said in her tweet in the next thread, with PM Butts running the country and I expect also cheering on and aiding and abetting the US saboteurs of Canada’s resource industry more Indigenous groups better wake up to their being used as cannon fodder in the eco war on people.

  14. I used to hitchhike from Alberta to the BC west coast every summer after I got out of high school.(hitchhiking was a “thing” back then it was dangerous and exciting and I was stupid to do it)
I was picked up by all kinds of people. Some wanted to just rob me. Some wanted to have good company with me. Some wanted to tell me their story and hear my story. Some wanted to phuk me.
All of that is irrelevant to this telling. I was picked up by Indians on many occasions. I was told by Indians that they were radicalized and militarized by the Black Panther movement members from the United States. The Black Panthers were created by the U.S. government for political purposes. The U.S. government created AIM(American Indian Movement) to radicalize and channel Indian dissent to a place where American Indians would be in opposition to general American opinion. The Black Panthers were the main vector of this political dissent and an American government tool too create and channel dissent to a place where it could be dealt with and juxtaposed against mainstream American political opinion.
These people were a foil, a straw man for the U.S. government to unite Americans behind their government.
    Bad things came from this.
The Vietnam War was happening and one hand of the U.S. government was training some of these people, people who were members of self-marginalized ethnic communities, to be highly trained elite soldiers. Some of these people formed the shock troops of AIM(Indians) and some of them became founding members of the SLA(Symbianese Liberation Army whose negro leaders were USMC Force Recon) who committed acts of domestic terrorism, bank robberies, murders, and kidnapped Patricia(Patty) Hearst during the early ’70s.
I’ve said this before, Canada is America’s petri dish. The American Left does things in Canada and then hopes to translate the results to America in general.
The result is a disruption of genuine grass roots Canadian and American tradition and the shattering of both societies.

  15. paternalism perhaps? yup.
when the news story about the ontariowe primary school teachers federation came out in august about the demand that JA McDonalds’s name be expunged from school names, I called them 3 times to find out if, IF they happened to consult with ANY legitimate aboriginal groups, leaders, etc.
couldnt get an answer so I took that to mean to the answer was no.
in other words, the EXACT same paternalism they accused JA etc of.
aka ‘we are the whities, only WE know what’s best for you, so STFU’.

  16. Poor Indians they could be snowmobilng out to the spawning beds to net all the fish and kill all the moose….
It’s so darn hard to figure out who to parasitize any more.
