Is Tabatha Southey the stupid woman's smart person?

Her article has a point to it, but it's a very stupid point. It reads like something one of my less able undergraduate students would write. Southey doesn't seem to realize that Jordan Peterson probably couldn't care whether he gets called any of the lame names she concocts for him, so long as he isn't called "she."

To me, the following is ironic, since Southey thinks it shows how insane Peterson is, whereas I've assumed for decades the truth of the proposition: "He’s already concluded that the entire fields of “women’s studies, and all the ethnic studies and racial studies groups” “have to go,” and that sociology, anthropology, English literature, and education are all “corrupt.”"

No need to worry yourself, canonymouse. When we go full red, our new NKVD will know exactly what to do with these useless, idle, Bourgeois coffee-shop sandal-wearing, counterrevolutionary insurrectionists...These are dangerous, foreign-funded provocateurs, and represent a clear and present danger to the ideals of the revolution, and to the interests and welfare of the workers.

The re-education camp trains will be quite full... Ask yourself this: who is more useful to the goals of a successful red proletariat revolution? Modern-day conservatives, or useless, self indulgent petulants?

Southey has a nerve complaining about Peterson going "on and on". I could not get through her article. She is singularly unfunny and downright banal. I am disappointed that McLeans has hired her. Between her and Stephen Maher, I have backed off of subscribing.

Ha ha ha ha ... so the LEFT (via MacClains mag.) is DESPERATE to reclaim Lindsay Shephard as one of their “own”. Lindsay “believes” in Global Warming ... recycles all her plastic ... never watches television ... was raised by a government school teacher ... embraces gender fluidity ... has a “Persian” boyfriend (insert my sad face here :(... ) ... and is learning to speak Farsi. Oh gawwwd. Oh ... and of course ... they got Lindsay to disavow her “Alt. Right” “Nazi” fanboys (of which MacLains would no doubt include me). Non-leftists need to counter the idea that not addressing a person by whatever title they've chosen is invalidating them as a person, rejecting their human identity and is therefore an act of violence. Your identity and humanity should not depend on constant validation by every person who comes in contact with you. If your identity is so fragile that even one person not complying with your demands makes you feel physically assaulted then you need to work on resilience.

Healthy, stable people do not leave themselves at the mercy of strangers in that manner. For instance, I refuse to use the title Doctor unless you're a medical doctor. Do people with doctorates psychologically crumble when they aren't addressed by their preferred title? Rarely, I'd suspect. Judges are the exception and their titles are deliberately used to reinforce the power structure of the court. A cynic might think that the gender debate is actually this kind of power play.

In only a few years Maclean's has become the Salon of Canada. It's hard to imagine Mark Steyn writing for this magazine nowadays, or having their support in taking on the Human Rights Tribunals.

What is left of the MSM has fallen to such a low level of journalistic competency.

Anyone interested in the news has already watched Lindsay Shepherd's interviews with intelligent people on youtube, and heard a recording of the show trial fiasco, she was subject to.

How can less intelligent writing about very intelligent people's thought count as journalism? It doesn't.

Ms Southey's strong dislike of Peterson may have deep seated causes. According to her ex husband she's been diagnosed with Borderline Personality disorder. That would explain a lot.
