Oh, Shiny Prime Minister!

In all fairness, this isn't entirely accurate;

"The superiority and narcissism of the Canadian media ... is beyond words," the Global Times wrote...

They forgot "incestuous".

The Canadian media should ask Chinese what they think about the leader of a country or any organization for that matter crying while apologizing ?

"... China is just a nation where 'the leader's orders outweigh the law'," Yep. And what is so different about a Trudeau ruled Canada? another added sardonically.

In answer to your question I think the Chinese and for that matter the rest of the Global community have an answer that pretty well sums up a leader that cries while apologizing for a perceived wrong committed well before he was born. That answer would be "PANSY". When the leaders in the rest of the world are sitting around a conference table and L'il Tater Head stands to address them, they all see the "PANSY" label hanging on a sign around his neck, and by inference that is how they perceive all Canadians.

So sad to realize that not everyone agrees with le petit petat's progressivism and that Canada needs trade with China a whole lot more than China needs trade with Canada. Good grief anyone trying to impose le petit petat's standards would be laughed out of any business deal.

that's so unfair... justin really, really loves the communist chinese party...

“There is a level of admiration I actually have for China because their
'basic dictatorship' is allowing them to actually turn their economy
around on a dime and say 'we need to go green.'"

hooray dictatorship!!!

They keep having the wrong wing of the Liberal Party controlling trade negotiations. The Liberals should be letting their business wing, like Manley, have control but they persist on letting their social justice warriors set the trade agenda. Eventually the Liberals in charge might figure out that gender studies majors do not have the gravitas to take on the businessman that are negotiating on behalf of the US or China. Progressive virtue signaling is not a smart strategy when dealing with hard-nosed, math savvy professionals. It is sort of like the Liberals have decided on a Trigglypuff vs. Milton Friedman matchup at trade negotiations.

Canadian (progressive) media? Who takes them seriously? They're just the PR department of the Liberal Party and have been for as long as I've been alive.

Lol! "They forgot "incestuous"." I agree. The Liberals and the media are all in the same bed.

Should anyone take sides or simply stand back and laugh at the audacity of it all? Canada is China's new favourite vassal state with a leader so fawned over as in the case of China's old vassal state, North Korea. Xi demanded pictures of Christ be replaced with himself to educate those "backward" Chinese Christians.

These narcissists and censors deserve each other.

That's why Akin asked him if his answer to the question, what country do you most admire was still 'China' because after all, China a progressive's dream, has relegated free-market capitalism to the dust-bin of history, dontcha know.

China is treating Canada - and all its trappings - with the contempt it deserves.

The sad thing about this is that I can't even get indignant at these hypocritical, thuggish, Chi-com dictators. I mean, our press and our Government are so pathetic that I can't rise in their defence.

So it's the media's fault now?

This creates an interesting dynamic.

There seems to be a lack of business acumen in Ottawa and Queens Park that is becoming blatantly obvious to even the most partisan shill....yep even Craig Oliver.
I expect that over the next while the media will avoid stories about trade deals.

All media outlets in China are either state owned, or state controlled; the state and the media are one and the same. Yet they are kept on a short leash and aren't allowed to be so rude as to name Trudeau *directly*, so instead they refer to Canada's lapdog Liberal media. He and his mouthpiece are considered one and the same.

The Chinese know full well that Trudeau is an actor with a script, not a leader nor a negotiator, and they weren't about to let him perform in front of the cameras. Trudeau and his ego need some kind of victory out of this, but with little leverage he'll be required to make plenty of concessions to make any kind of trade deal. In short, Canada will be sacrificed so that he looks good, and the Chinese know it.

I dunno. I just read Terry Glavin's article in today's Nat Post. If what he is saying is true we gave plenty to worry about, and it has nothing to do with bongo's 'humiliation'.
He claims the libranos have signed at least 50 "important bilateral collaborations" with the chicoms. Dangerous stuff. Look it up and read it.

Honestly, T-doh can't even manage business in his own backyard, let alone globally.
The Canadian media gets a well deserved slap. I doubt it will smarten them up, unfortunately.

I'd love to, but your link doesn't work.

Uh ho = it's now the nationalist state press.
