Chinada

It should tell you something about just how deeply the rot has spread that the Liberal Party of Canada was well represented at the Chinese Communist Party’s three-day “dialogue with world political parties” that was wrapping up just as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was arriving in Beijing on Sunday, and that among the 300 delegates who lauded Xi Jinping’s regime “as the core in pushing forward the building of a community of a shared future for mankind and of a better world” was none other than Jean Chretien. The former Liberal prime minister is nowadays employed by Denton’s Canada LLP, the ugly little stepsister of the global conglomerate Beijing Dacheng.
It should also tell you something about just how run-of-the-mill these kinds of obscenities have become that barely a whisper has been heard in the House of Commons following last week’s revelations about the generosity the Communist Party’s United Front Work Department and its related overseas influence-peddling agencies have been lavishing upon Canadian politicians.
Along with pro-Beijing lobby groups headquartered in Canada, the Chinese Communist Party’s “soft power” brokers have picked up the costs of dozens of getting-to-know-you trips to China over the years for several Liberal and Conservative MPs and senators. All by himself, John McCallum, the cabinet minister Trudeau appointed ambassador to China last year, racked up freebie trips to the value of $73,300.

  1. And yet, despite the largesse and palm-greasing, Justin opened his fool mouth off-script and the Chinese showed him the diplomatic back-door. There must be some teeth-gnashing going on behind the doors of Dentons … and the Desmerais oligarchy.

  2. A few numbers paraphrased from the comments:
‘for every $3.60 Canada buys from the Chinese dictatorship only $1.00 of our products is sold to them. The total sales of Canadian exports to China in 2015 was $15.8 billion which is just 4.1% of our total exports and barely ahead of the UK at $12.9 billion or 3.3%. In contrast, the US took 76.2% of our exports – $296.5 billion….”
    For What’ indeed.

  3. The former PM and Power Corp are involved in the sale of the coal plants to China. The swamp is deep and dark!

  4. Baby formula facility? You can’t make this stuff up? Well, at least the Chicoms are experienced in baby formula “issues”. Where is this entity shipping to, China or is it to become the premier baby formula entity here? Wonder if they plan to export to the US.

  5. The Chinese government is currently negotiating the purchase of AECON, one of the biggest publicly traded construction companies in Canada. We’ll know if we are going to get sold out if this sale goes through. I would never work for AECON if they were owned by the Chinese government. I have worked for their subcontractors’ in the past.

  6. Gee maybe if the post hadn’t actively participated in a 10 year anti Harper disinformation campaign, we might not have a vacant dimwit as PM while the old guard libranos enrich themselves and sell out the country.

  7. Liberal party of Canada is a subsidiary of the communist party of China.
What can one say, a perfect fit.
    E pericoloso sporgersi

  8. “John McCallum racked up freebie trips to the value of $73,300.”
I wonder if that includes the cost of a liver transplant generously donated by a Chinese prisoner.

  9. Get used to it, my friends! The American Empire is falling, just as the Roman Empire did. China has to do nothing to achieve world domination but to step aside and watch Western civilization self destruct.
The Deep State in the USSA has destroyed American competitiveness. T2 is doing his level best to scuttle Kanada’s economy. Europe has been a lost cause for decades. There is nobody left to challenge the Chicoms.

  10. I know I’ve beat this to death but is it not abundantly clear that the libranos have sold out Canada for their own interest?
Power Corp, da liddel thief -it’s all about stealing the money.
These guys are enemies of Canada.

  11. “for several Liberal and Conservative MPs and senators.”
    ahem. ‘they ALL do it’.
c’mon sda, pile on, claim I’m ‘defending’ turdeux and his highway robbers.
they ALL do it, somewhere, ALL the time. at least some of them, always somewhere.
stop the hero worship based merely on party and ideology. dont be suckered.
they all do it. stop defending the likes of harper et al, if it ever happens on THEIR watch, THEY take the blame. that’s how it works, being the ‘leader’.

  12. Most of the drugs people ingest are made in China, google “drugs made in China” you will be surprised! How did they do with the baby formula etc., what do you think they will do with the common drugs people take?

  13. Just heard former CSIS honcho David Harris on CFRA’s The Intelligence Files. He made no bones about the fact that the Chi-coms are after one thing, and one thing only: domination. And liddle Justin & Co. are putty in their hands.
turdo la doo is desperate for a deal and the Chi-coms know it – he’ll sell out Canada just to boost his ego.

  14. Glavin is pretty well alone in liberal media telling the blunt truth about that Communist dictatorship. see this previous article: http://nationalpost.com/opinion/terry-glavin-the-liberals-are-dangerously-wrong-on-china-they-have-always-been
None of these inconvenient truths are featured by the China lobby.Consider, exports to US $300 B exports to China $20 B, a factor of 1/15th. And the claim that China is Canada’s Number 2 trading partner? Imports from China are a about $66 B so trade is roughly $88 B; but 2 way trade with EU is well over $100 B.
With 2 way trade with US at $ 580 B Why exactly is Trudeau so anxious to spend time pursuing a China trade deal? What can we send to them other than canola. wheat forestry products, meat and so on, raw materials all. Usually a country tries to increase value added by exporting finished goods, not raw materials. But no conceivable finished good could compete with their sweat shop labour and lack of environmental standards.
The number one priority for the Cabinet is to manage trade and relations with the US, no matter how difficult. But Jr and his backers don’t want to be bothered, better to fritter away political capital chasing a Chinese fantasy. Nothing good can come from this initiative.

  15. If the LPOC is so in the tank with the Chicoms, why were CDN media blocked at the photo op? If The Team screwed the Not Including China TPP deal several days earlier (ostensibly in favor of a China deal?) why are the Chicoms suddenly so coy? Negotiating tactics?
Suddenly Mr Trudeau is personna non gratta with his handlers over something? Knives out for something? Inquiring minds would like to know.
After Tump’s red carpet treatment, JT looks pretty small town in comparison.

  16. ‘Knives out for something?’
No clue but I wonder if Chretien or someone else told Trudeau his little progressive act wasn’t on with the Chinese and just like the way Trudeaux 1 would operate he didn’t take any advice.

  17. The boy doesn’t open his gob w/o some pre-arming, so who screwed up?
I just found it hilarious that the Chicoms were actively blocking CDN media from the photo op, as if they didn’t want a record of his being there, or be seen with him in public.
“Psssst. Beat it. Get lost you little potato. Let go of my leg.”
Maybe the LPOC Gang need a more suave Prime Minister, than this presumptuous, snow boarder/part time drama teacher? He’s like some hayseed from da nort shore. Worse than the Cretch.
