Sunday Evening Food for Thought

Trigger Warning: This very interesting conversation between a Swede and a Canadian will likely provoke many ideas and new thoughts you heretofore may not have had.

  1. That was deep, but the underlying message is that western civilization is screwed, unless we can scrap the entire education system and start over again. Give ‘er hell Trump. Last chance. Already too late for Sweden.

  2. Thank you for posting this. It needs to go viral and has a good start after 2 days. The first 50 minutes does present a discouraging picture of how bad a beating our universities/politics/society have taken from weak minded ideologies but the rest of the video gave me hope. If the audience is big enough and gets through the whole discussion then lights may start to come back on and push back this encroaching darkness. I see the possible collapse as just that, another dark age.

  3. Jordan’s comment that today’s SJW behavior is akin to Maoism is spot on! The SJW’s insist that I must CONFESS my “white privilege” to my “Block Captain” and then be re-educated by some shrill City Councilwoman … it is akin to crazed Communists screaming CONFESS criminal!!! In Canada you are even FORCED to play-along with a man who is pretending to be a woman … or be JAILED by the State for failing to BELIEVE.
And speaking of ”belief” … I find Jordan’s view of Christianity and mythology quite interesting. I believe that his “rationalization” of God’s word through the Bible has some merit. I even believe that is part of The Creators construct. To give man a reliable set of instructions for a successful life. It’s tried, tested, and true. So if Jordan wants to intellectualize God and God’s word … well, that’s a good first step. I bristle a little bit when he chastises evangelicals (which I am not – by his definition) because not all evangelical Christians believe in the literal truth of the Bible (creation in 7-days, woman from a rib, etc.). If Biblical stories are allegories instead of literal facts, it does not diminish the TRUTH contained therein. I would love to have a chat with Mr. Peterson … I could learn a lot … and I am sure I would amuse him.

  4. No new thoughts here. Just loving the conversation and I am only at the 11:00 minute mark, and it is bedtime for this old coot. Thanks Robert!
morris, yes, another dark age on the horizon and reminiscent of the 70 years of the Soviet hell on earth.

  5. Glad you all took the time to watch it. Sadly, less & less people these days have the patience and attention span to sit through anything longer than about 3 minutes. I’m convinced that politicians and marketers count on this to warp the perception of reality of the masses from the truth.
