  1. Trudeau stated today that the Government of Canada will NOT purchase new F-18 Super Hornet fighter jets from Boeing as long as that company is in the process of launching a lawsuit against Bombardier.
Question: The Trudeau government had already made it public that they were purchasing up to 18 new Super Hornet F-18’s from Boeing in order to replace a portion of our ageing fleet of CF-18s. That tells me that the Gov. of Canada had not signed a contract on the deal, otherwise they could not walk away from it as Trudeau announced today. If indeed such a deal even exists.
Question 2: What is the relationship between protecting us (Canadians) and our air space, and trade disputes between Boeing and Bombardier?? Two privately owned companies.
In ending, I met a retired Canadian Forces CF-18 pilot this summer. He claims the F-18 Hornet is light years behind the new F-35 Lockheed Martin Lightning II that the Harper Government was in the process of purchasing. I’ve read the same in military publications. To make the replacement deal even worst, someone has come up with a brainwave of purchasing used F-18’s from the Australian Air Force.
Conclusion: Trudeau is placing Canada’s security behind his own personal aspirations.
This is a recent article in the NP that discusses some of the fighter jet issues that Canada faces.

Was his father any different? Was his hero, Barry O’Bummer?
Many of us on SDA have assumed that he’s a puppet with the strings being pulled by someone else. That may be, but let’s not forget that he’s a former drama teacher. In order to teach drama, one, presumably, needs to know something about acting and how to read and follow a script.
It makes one wonder if he even realizes that, as prime minister, he’s not auditioning for a play or a TV show.

  3. Regrettably, I doubt that “Kim the Reasonable” or “Kim the Peacemaker” would apply to him.

  4. I’ll bet Boeing is just quaking in their boots that Lil Tater Head is threatening them with a boycott of their jets. ROTFLMAO!!! This clown of a Prime Minister is making us the laughing stock of the G7. When will enough Liberals come to the conclusion that backing this ‘leader’ is going to guarantee a very short political career. Just a while ago Freeland was crowing about Canada filling the void that Trump was threatening to leave in NATO if the Allied countries didn’t fulfil their financial obligations. Are these Canadian leaders even living in this country. Under the Liberals we have Armed Forces that are so under equipped that we are forced to buy used equipment from our Allies. And Trudeau is threatening to boycott Boeing, if it wasn’t so hilariously funny it would be tragic.

  8. RE: Nancy Pelosi
The video speaks for itself. I just came here to say that everytime I think of Nancy Pelosi the words to an old Beetles song (Rocky Racoon) just naturally pop into my head:
“Her name was Magil and she called herself Lil
But everyone knew her as Nancy.”
    So it goes….

  9. Listening to Trump delivering his speech to the UN…he’s spelling it out in plain language, no room for doctoring it up…it’s what needs to said and long overdue.

  10. It’s Sea King all over again. Little Potato eliminates the F-35 now effectively eliminates any Boeing alternative. Given his love of China, perhaps he’s angling to buy something from Chengdu.

“Don’t panic. The entire European Union has lost just 62 killed in terrorist attacks so far this year, which is about one person in every eight million. The loss ratio is even lower in the United States: 11 killed in four terrorist attacks so far this year. Four times as many Americans are killed every day in ordinary murders.
